Forces killed 10 militants in Orakzai

PESHAWAR: Ten militants were killed and nine others injured during forces operation in Orakzai Agency.

According to sources, offensive against militants continued in tribal region and Orakzai Agency since nine months in which more than twelve hundred militants have been killed so far and 150 hideouts destroyed.

Court charges PSM chief in Canteen corruption case

KARACHI: Federal Anti-Corruption Court charged ten accused including Moeen Aftab, former chairman of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) in Canteen corruption case, Geo News reported Saturday.

The accused including Moeen Aftab, Brig. (rtd) Abdul Qayyum, Ateeq Ahmed pleaded not guilty.

The court summoned the witnesses on June 24.

Judge Shaukat Memon, considering the interim challan against the accused in five cases as final, decided to take up the petitions regarding Aftab’s bail in the next hearing.

The accused have been charged of harming the PSM a loss worth Rs10 billion in various irregularities.

Two Ex-Blackwater Personnel Charged With Murder

Two former Blackwater employees have been charged with the murder of two Afghans in Kabul last year.
According to Justice Department, two former Blackwater employees Justin Cannon, 27, and Christopher Drotleff, 29, have been charged with second-degree murder following the shooting deaths of the two Afghans.
They were also charged with attempted murder including the 13-count grand jury indictment. Both men could face death penalty, the Justice Department said.
