At least three dead in China school attack

BEIJING: At least three children have been killed in an attack on a kindergarten in eastern China, residents and a rights group said Wednesday, in the latest in a series of assaults on schools nationwide.

The attack occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Shandong province”s Zibo city, residents said, but the local hospital, police and government all refused to comment.

Iran”s Ahmadinejad survives reported attack-Lebanese TV

BEIRUT: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad survived an attack on his convoy in Iran onWednesday, Lebanon”s Future television quoted the Iranian presidency as saying.

Al Arabiya television said an attacker had thrown a bomb at Ahmadinejad”s convoy before being detained. Both television reports said some people had been wounded in the attack.

Blast in Karachi, Several Hurt

KARACHI, Pakistan News: Blast in Karachi, Several Hurt, Several people have been wounded in a car blast at Khilafat Chowk in Paposh Nagar Karachi.

The blast took place at a time when Muharram procession was passing through Paposh Nagar.

The injured are being shifted to hospitals.

Police and rangers have reached the blast site where rescue services have been kick started.

MS Abbasi Shaheed Hospital said that 8 injured have been brought to the facility.
