If you have yet to watch last night’s Grey’s Anatomy finale, stop reading now. I repeat, if you have yet to watch last night’s Grey’s Anatomy finale, stop reading now. For the last time, if you have yet to watch last night’s Grey’s Anatomy, stop reading now. Everyone else, onward and downward

Say what you will about Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes (Baby killer! McDreamy shooter! Nightmare inflictor!), but the woman knows how to write a finale. Last night’s season 6 climax — in which a crazed gunman terrorized Seattle Grace for the better part of two hours — had 15 million viewers (yours truly among them) biting their nails down to nubs while convulsing on the edge of their seats. When the dust settled, there were two significant deaths, one tragic miscarriage, and roughly 100 nagging questions. In this exclusive interview, Rhimes tackles the 20 most popular.
The actress, who has played Isobel “Izzie” Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy since its 2005 debut, said in March she would not return to the show and cited family obligations as the reason behind her departure.

“It’s a weird feeling because it’s very bittersweet,” she told Letterman. “I really did like my job and I really loved the people I worked with and it was very sort of safe and comfortable and I loved that I had that and now I’m a bit adrift.”

Heigl, who married longtime boyfriend Josh Kelley in 2007, went on family leave to bond with newly-adopted daughter Naleigh.

Heigl got her big acting break in 1999 when she was cast in the teen-oriented sci-fi series Roswell, which lasted three seasons. Heigl’s popularity soared after she starred in the Judd Apatow film Knocked Up in 2007 and the Grey’s Anatomy cast member has since taken on more movie roles.
Still reeling over last night’s shocking two hour season finale of “Grey’s Anatomy”? You aren’t alone! Tweeting celebs gave kudos to the the drama’s big cliffhanger (we won’t spoil it for you, promise), including recent guest star Demi Lovato who posted, “Most intense episode of any tv show I’ve ever seen. So amazing. Most incredible show ever.” Even stars from other shows had to give credit where it was due, like “Glee” star Jenna Ushkowitz who tweeted, “ok, greys anatomy, you win. one of the best 120 minutes of television ever” as her co-star Lea Michele agreed, “how amazing was Grey’s last night?!?!?!”

With ‘Kites,’ Bollywood Looks To Vegas For A Lift

When I say Bollywood — the pop term for India’s Hindi-language film industry — you think what? Lush romance? Fantastical landscapes? Colorful costumes? Elaborate musical numbers that may not have much to do with the plot? And maybe a three-hour running time?

All perfectly reasonable.

You probably don’t think Las Vegas, by way of comic Sergio Leone, by way of tragic telenovelas. But welcome to the brave new world of Kites, a picture that has nothing to do with actual kites, but includes pretty much anything else you might think of: cross-cultural romance, scuba diving, a comic bank robbery, a deadly wedding shootout, bodies falling prettily off cliffs, bullets falling prettily into glasses of whiskey, exploding police cars that flip through the air like break-dancers, actual break-dancers and a chase sequence that leaps from pick-up truck to hot air balloon. kites
Bollywood’s most serious bid yet to show it’s not just Hollywood that can export films.

India’s Reliance Big Pictures today debuts “Kites,” a 130-minute story about two lovers on the run who don’t speak the same language.

Director Brett Ratner of “Rush Hour” movie fame has edited that original Hindi-language version by dubbing it into English, toning down the soundtrack, removing a dance sequence by the critically acclaimed Indian lead, Hrithik Roshan, and adding a racy scene. Mr. Ratner’s 90-minute “Kites: The Remix” premieres in US and international theaters May 28.
Late in the night, KFCC president Basant Kumar Patil said the movie was likely to be screened from Saturday afternoon. Big Cinemas representative had met the KFCC offcie-bearers in the evening for talks. Patil said the representative had apologized and promised to adhere to norms.

Earlier in the day, in Bangalore, the KFCC members, led by Patil, staged protests and ensured that the exhibitors, multiplexes and single-screen theatres stopped screening of the film. To prevent exhibitors from screening the movie later, protesters confiscated the film prints at some places, while at other places, exhibitors voluntarily handed over the prints. There was chaos at many places over refunds.

As per KFCC norms, non-Kannada movies can be released in only 21 theatres. Big Cinemas had approached the Chamber and got permission to release the movie in 24 halls. But they violated the agreement and released it in more theatres, the Chamber alleged.
“I think this is going to be some sort of a breakthrough … a first milestone,” says Reliance MediaWorks CEO Anil Arjun, explaining that “Kites” is the first time Bollywood has so thoroughly edited a film to appeal to Western viewers.
