RIYADH: Yemen’s prime minister will return home later on Tuesday from Saudi Arabia, where he has been recovering from injuries suffered in a June assassination attempt on President Ali Abdullah Saleh, a government source said.

According to details, the blast occurred at around 23:15 PST near Lorry Adda (Bus stop) at Baba Hyder Saeen massively crowded at the time thanks to Urs underway there, injuring 27 people including a police.

The injured were rushed to Mayo Hospital, where two succumbed to injuries. One of the deceased has been reportedly identified as Zulfiqar Jutt.

Teams of police and bomb disposal squad arrived on the blast scene.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, 24 of 27 injured were taken to Mayo Hospital. Slightly injured were given medical care on the spot.

Eyewitnesses said there were only two police personnel deployed at mausoleum despite huge number of people present there. TrendPK.com

Majority of Shiite community and Iraqi security forces are mainly targeted the in the violence.

According to police sources, the car exploded on about 2 P.M. on Thursday. At least 35 people, including three children, were killed and 40 wounded.

Sporadic bombings also targeted Iraqi troops and an electricity official on Thursday morning. The first roadside bomb occurred about 8:30 A.M. near a police patrol at a commercial complex in Baghdad, killing one civilian and injuring five other people, including four police soldiers, authorities confirmed.

According to officials, Ismaeel al-Obeidi, director general of Baghdad’s central electricity directorate, also escaped from an assassination attempt when a roadside bomb struck the two cars convoy carrying him to work. As the result of blast, one of his guards was killed and two others wounded.

Bajaur Agency: Suicide blast kills 44, injures 72

At least 44 people were killed and 72 injured in a blast in Khar, district headquarters of Bajaur Agency in FATA, trendpk.com reported on Saturday.

According to details, the blast occurred in front of a Civil colony at a check point and World Food Programme building was also near the blast place. A woman suicide bomber reached at the point and blew herself up, due to which 44 people were killed and several others sustained severe injuries. The attack took place when more than 300 people were gathered outside World Food Programme building to receive food rations. Security forces and police reached the spot and cordoned off the area and started search operation. Rescue teams were also reached the blast place and started relief activities. The injured are being shifted to hospital where emergency was declared and paramedics staff was called.

Peshawar: Child killed, 26 injured in a grenade attack

A child has been killed whereas 26 people have been injured in a grenade attack on a Muharram procession at Yadgar Chowk, Peshawar, trendpk.com reported.

Sources said that blast occurred right after the procession ended. The injured were taken to the Lady Reading hospital including 8 women and 4 children.

Bashir Ahmed Bilour, senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa talking to media-men outside the Lady Reading Hospital confirmed that it was a grenade attack. He said all injured have got minor injuries in the blast.

Death toll in Bannu attack rises to seven

BANNU: The number of deaths from Bannu’s terrorist attack has reached seven as another injured man scrummed to his wounds in District Headquarters Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Alam Zeb. He had suffered serious injuries in the attack.

At least six people were killed and 18 others were wounded on Tuesday when a suicide bomber targeted a police van in Bannu.

Following the blast, police rounded up 94 suspects from various hotels located in the limits of Cantonment area. Trend Pk

Policeman among 6 killed in Bannu suicide attack

At least 6 people including a cop and a six-month old minor were killed while 12 others injured in a powerful explosion that said to have hit a police van near Melad Park in Bannu district.

The suicide bomber blew himself up near a police van, leaving 6 people dead on the spot and several others injured.The deceased cop was identified as Safeerullah.

DIG Iftikhar Khan said at least 12 people were injured in the attack.Police and rescue teams rushed the blast site and kicked off the search operation in abutting areas.

Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the blast scene while the rescue activities have been kicked off.

Death toll may further rise, police said.

Roadside bomb injures 3 in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A remote-controlled bomb blast left three people injured near Adezai Intersection in the outskirts of Peshawar on Monday.

The injured included a police constable, a passerby and prayer leader. They were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

According to reports, an armored police vehicle was the target of the blast.

Meanwhile, police and volunteers of a local peace lashkar surrounded the area and started investigations.

A local pro-government militia foiled a terrorist attack last night. However, a rocket attack killed two women.

In addition, a roadside bomb hit a police post in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkwa, However, no loss of life was reported. Trend Pk
