Simon Cowell shoots down Beyonce ‘X Factor’ rumors

LOS ANGELES: Time will tell who will fill the recently vacated judge’s chairs on “The X Factor,” but one thing’s for sure — it won’t be Beyonce Knowles. At least, if Simon Cowell is to be believed.
Fox’s recently minted competition series had a major shakeup last week, with judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paul Abdul — along with host Steve Jones — getting the heave-ho. And while the rumor mill swirled with scuttlebutt about Cowell offering “Single Ladies” singer Knowles an astronomical sum to come aboard, the famously cantankerous Brit says it’s not happening.
“I have no idea where this rumor came from,” Cowell said in an interview with “Extra.” “I read it online that I offered her $100 million a year. It’s complete nonsense.”
Cowell also revealed that executives at Fox began talking to him about a shakeup “t the beginning of the year– and we were told it had to happen straight away.”
He also took responsibility for the perception that “X Factor” has been a lukewarm success, admitting that his declaration that the show would be bigger than his last gig, “American Idol,” set the bar too high.
“It’s only because I opened my big mouth and said we were going to get 20 million,” Cowell said. “If I hadn’t said that, everybody would be saying the show was a huge success.” AGENCIES

TrendPK.com: Although Gerard Butler claims he doesnât know who âReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsâ star Brandi Glanville is, she is standing by her story that the two hooked up in the past.
Glanville recently commented that she is no longer going into the details because she understands how private he is, states OMG!. âHeâs not super excited. Heâs super private. Iâm not going to talk about it anymore,â Glanville commented.
She also claims that the two have since talked about what is going on now: âHe called me last night and told me he said it. He is upset because he is a private person. I donât lie, so I donât really care.â

Chris Brown allegedly performing at Grammys
TrendPK.com: Chris Brown has been working to get things together after his domestic abuse incident with Rihanna three years ago, and now it seems he may be making a major move.
It is rumored that Brown may be performing at the Grammys this year, but things are reportedly still being worked out and kept quiet, states E! News. This will be his first appearance at the Grammys since the incident that took place three years ago.
He is nominated for three Grammys this year.

Taseer abduction: Servant’s finger prints found from car
LAHORE: Important development was achieved in Shahbaz Taseer kidnapping case through finger prints.
Police sources said the finger prints garnered from the vehicle, belonged to Shahbaz Taseerâs servant.
According to sources, police are making progress in the light of finger prints reports; however, police said it could not be said for sure that Taseerâs servant whose finger prints had been found was involved in the abduction or not.
It should be mentioned here that some unidentified miscreants abducted Shahbaz Taseer, son of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer on Friday while he was on his way to office. TrendPK
Man involved in Quetta Express attack, arrested
QUETTA: Frontier Corps Balochistan arrested a man accused of attack on Quetta Express, TrendPK reported Monday.
The FC officials were quite sure that they would soon arrest the other accused involved in the attack on the train.
According to the FC spokesman, a man allegedly involved in the attack on Quetta Express near Mach yesterday, had been arrested. A motorcycle used in the attack was also recovered from his custody.
It should be mentioned here that Quetta Express left three people dead and 18 others sustained injuries. TrendPK
Michael Lohan upset at possibility Lindsay is drinking again
TrendPK.com: It has been rumored that Lindsay Lohan was caught drinking with her mom, Dina, at Kim Kardashianâs wedding last weekend, a rumor that has her dad, Michael, upset.
Michael recently admitted that if this is true, he no longer knows what to do, states RadarOnline.com. âMy hands are in the air,â Michael commented.
However, Michael does think that his ex-wife is definitely part of the problem: âI thought Dina was smarter than to drink around Lindsay.â
Lindsay is technically free to drink, but she has been in rehab a number of times for problems with drinking.

Two of todayâs biggest pop icons came together over the weekend. Lady Gaga who has been a longtime fan of Britney attended Britney Spearsâ Femme Fatale concert Saturday night in Atlantic City. Spears wasted no time in announcing to the crowd news of her very special guest
âI have a very special guest tonight⊠Lady Gaga is here.â
Lady Gaga was sitting up front in the floor section, stood and waved and a made a heart sign with her hands and Britney hearted her back.
Britney was almost upstaged by Gaga when during a break in the concert the crowd started chanting her name and rushing over to snap pictures. Gaga got up on her feet and pumped her fists to Britneyâs new single, âI Wanna Go.â
Later Britney Twittered to show her appreciation of Gaga
âSo amazing to have the beautiful @LadyGaga at the show in AC tonight. Love you girl.â
