b1e7conrad Dr. Conrad Murray Shares Same Jail Block as Michael Jackson’s Ex Brother in LawSometimes the world can feel super small.

Surprisingly, Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson’s former brother-in-law – James DeBarge who is Janet Jackson’s ex-husband – are in the same jail and are seeing a lot of each other these days. Both of them are being held in the L.A. County Men’s Jail which is home to almost 4,000 inmates at the time, yet they see each other daily. As a matter of fact, Dr. Conrad Murray is in a cell that is just a few feet away from James DeBarge.

James DeBarge is serving time for an assault with a deadly weapon and miscellaneous drug charges. However, since he was the lead singer in “El DeBarge” he is in the Administrative Segregation which houses famous inmates.

Murray has also been staying in Administrative Segregation since he was convicted of manslaughter in November 2011. It has been said that they run into each other quite often in the unit. The last time they saw each other was when they were both visiting with their lawyers on Monday.

According to DeBarge’s lawyer, Spencer Vodnoy, DeBarge is furious that he has to be so close to Murray. He feels that even though Janet and him were married briefly he still thinks of Michael as a brother.

9847793enic cage Nicolas Cage Arrested, Then Bailed Out by Dog the Bounty HunterNicolas Cage has been arrested in New Orleans after a public argument between him and his wife. The actor is currently on location filming a thriller called ‘Medallion’.

Reportedly a passing taxi driver decided to call the police as Cage looked “very drunk” and was yelling at his wife. He also claimed that he saw Cage push his wife. Police arrived at the scene, told Cage and his wife to go home, but apparently a drunk and stubborn Cage said to the police,

“Why don’t you just arrest me?”

So they did exactly that. Police charged Cage with domestic abuse and disturbing the peace, he’s being held on $11,000 bail. A few hours later reality show star Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman paid his bail. Chapman released a statement;

“I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy…..I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show. This is what I do for a living. There are two sides of my job: I release my clients after they have been arrested; and pick them up if they don’t show up in court. I do not believe the latter will be the case for Mr. Cage.”

Hope for Gulf as BP plugs well, most of the oil gone

NEW ORLEANS: On a pivotal day for the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster, BP plugged its stricken well while officials announced Wednesday that most of the toxic crude has been cleaned up or dispersed through natural processes.

Though undoubtedly the best day since the disaster began more than 15 weeks ago, US officials cautioned that a great deal of clean-up work remained and that the long-term impact could be felt for years, even decades, to come.

BP”s long-awaited “static kill” was conducted overnight as heavy drilling fluid was rammed into the busted Macondo well for eight hours, forcing the oil back down into the reservoir miles beneath the seabed.

We “have reached a static condition in the well that allows us to have high confidence that there will be no oil leaking into the environment,” US spill response chief Thad Allen told reporters at a White House briefing.
