Reese Witherspoon’s husband allegedly dated ‘Bachelor’ contestant
TrendPK.com: It seems that Reese Witherspoon might have something in common with ‘Bachelor’ contestant Courtney Robertson who is currently going after Ben Flajnik.
It is being rumored that Witherspoon’s new husband, Jim Toth, once dated Robertson although it was reportedly nothing serious at the time, states UsMagazine.com. Witherspoon allegedly didn’t find out until recently, but really didn’t care about it.
Toth and Robertson may have dated briefly, but they apparently didn’t go very far with the romance.

Kendall Jenner wants to follow in Kim Kardashian’s footsteps
TrendPK.com: Kendall Jenner is already becoming a rising star like her older sister, Kim Kardashian, but now she wants to tackle a new project just like Kim.
Kendall recently revealed that she’d love to try acting, especially something like ‘Disaster Movie’ which Kim was a part of, states E! News. “I would love to be in a horror movie or a horse movie. Or you know the ‘Disaster Movie’ that Kim was in? That seems like so much fun,” Kendall commented.

Vin Diesel begins principal photography on “Riddick”

TrendPK.com: Anyone following Vin Diesel’s Facebook page knows that the “Fast Five” star has been hard at work prepping for the third Riddick film. Now, we’ve received word from the studio that principal photography has begin on the sci-fi thriller, with the crew working toward a 2013 release date.
Universal Pictures, One Race Films and Radar Pictures announced that “Riddick” will film in Montreal, with Diesel in the lead. He’ll reunite with writer/director David Twohy (“A Perfect Getaway”), and pick up where “The Chronicles of Riddick” left off.
From the release:
The infamous Riddick (Diesel) has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.
The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.
“Riddick” also sees the return of Karl Urban (“Star Trek,” “The Bourne Supremacy”) as Vaako and introduces to the series Jordi Molla (“Bad Boys II,” “Colombiana”) as Santana, the arrogant captain of the mercenary ship; Matt Nable (“Killer Elite”) as Boss Johns, a man looking for answers; Katee Sackhoff (TV’s “Battlestar Galactica”) as the Nordic mercenary Dahl; and Bokeem Woodbine (upcoming “Total Recall”) as bounty hunter Moss.
Rounding out the cast are Dave Bautista (“The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption”), Conrad Pla (“Immortals”), Raoul Trujillo (“Apocalypto”), Nolan Funk (TV’s “Aliens in America”) and two-time Grammy Award-nominated singer Keri Hilson.

Elizabeth Banks added to cast of Charlie Kaufman’s “Frank or Francis”

TrendPK.com: Elizabeth Banks hasn’t been busier. Her latest movie, “Man On a Ledge,” just opened. She has “The Hunger Games” on the horizon. And she continues to add extremely engaging projects to her acting radar.
The blonde beauty has joined the cast of one of our most-anticipated films, “Frank or Francis,” from the twisted mind of Charlie Kaufman. The writer of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and “Being John Malkovich” has penned a musical satire about moviemaking and the awards race.
The film stars Jack Black as a movie blogger who draws the ire of a talented film director (Steve Carell) who engages him in a “battle,” of sorts. Nicolas Cage, according to THR, plays “an actor who is famous for his high-concept films, while (Kevin) Kline will play the director of the world’s top-grossing movie as well as that character’s brother, who turns into an animatronic head.”
As for Banks, she’ll play an actress who’s having an affair with Carell’s character. So they’ll be rekindling some of that “40-Year-Old Virgin” chemistry?
“Frank or Francis” comes across as an impossibly clever premise, and I wouldn’t believe it possible if not for the fact that Kaufman was helming. The blustery awards race and the Hollywood machine could use a skewering. And while “Francis” might come across a little bit like biting the hand that feeds, Kaufman doesn’t seem concerned with staying in Hollywood’s good graces. We’ll continue to track “Frank and Francis,” which has one of the most impressive casts we’ve seen in some time.

“Underworld” leads the weekend box office after Friday

TrendPK.com: The fourth “Underworld” leads the weekend box office now that Friday’s estimates have rolled in. The sequel, which stars Kate Beckinsale as the hunter Selene, earned an estimated $9.4 million to top the expected box office Top 10, according to THR.
“Red Tails,” Anthony Hemingway’s historical take on the struggles and triumphs of the Tuskegee Airmen, did better than expected by pulling in $6M on Friday. The George Lucas-produced drama could be looking at a $17M weekend, and word of mouth could help it for the next few weeks. THR says it received an “A” from CinemaScore.
Elsewhere, Stephen Daldry’s “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” expanded to 2,500+ theaters this weekend, hoping to build on its Oscar buzz ahead of Tuesday’s nominations. The drama, which uses 9/11 as a narrative point, stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock and CCMA-winner Thomas Horn as a special needs boy coping with the loss of his father in the wake of our national tragedy.
“Loud” nabbed $3.2M on Friday, eyeing a $10M opening.
That’s better than Steven Soderbergh’s “Haywire,” which opened to $2.9M on Friday but earned a “D+” from CinemaScore. What the what?!

Kristen Bell explains why she just isn’t getting married
TrendPK.com: Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have been engaged for some time now, but that doesn’t mean they will be getting married anytime soon.
Bell recently revealed to ‘Vegas Magazine’ that a wedding and marriage aren’t necessarily going to be in her future, states RadarOnline.com. “We consider ourselves already married. We already wear the rings. I don’t want a wedding. It’s too much stress,” Bell commented about their situation.
And it seems they don’t need marriage to make their relationship any stronger as they recently co-produced and co-starred in a new film, ‘Outrun’: “We spent every waking moment together for eight weeks and did not get sick of each other. We are the couple that can do that.”

A Minute With: Ayesha Takia

MUMBAI: She was hailed as one of Hindi cinema’s most promising faces but Ayesha Takia chose to walk away from it all and concentrate on other things in life.
The 26-year-old actor is back on the big screen for now but isn’t promising to stay on. Takia spoke to Reuters about her sabbatical, what acting means to her and her latest film “Mod”.
Q: It’s been a long time since you’ve been seen on screen and even longer since you’ve been in a Nagesh Kukunoor film.
A: “I know. For me it’s been two-and-half years. Nagesh and me wanted to do something after ‘Dor’. Of course, ‘Tasveer’ happened but that was not magical so we wanted to do something like ‘Dor’ again. We kept discussing it and one day he called me out of the blue and said ‘do you want to do a film now because I have a script’. We found someone who wanted to make it and suddenly, somehow it all worked out. It was worth it because it has turned out to be a really special film.”
Q: What have you been doing? What’s stopped you from working?
A: “(Laughs) I wanted to consciously step away from things for a year. I have been here for eleven years. I started out when I was fifteen so I definitely needed a break. Everyone needs to step away and see their life as it is. Also, I knew that I wanted to travel after marriage. That was a priority. Business is also important to me, I am still learning from Farhan (Azmi, her husband). He obviously knows this really well and we have some dream projects that we are working on. We have a ten-room boutique hotel in Goa that we are working on right now.”
Q: So what did you see when you stepped back and looked at your life.
A: “I think we evolve with each year. You cannot be in the same place doing the same thing, day after day for so many years. For me, I need to explore other areas of my life, understand myself as a person in different ways. I cannot be putting on make-up, going to my van …listening to someone say ‘action’ all the time. How many days can you do that. How can you not want to know aspects of your life?”
Q: Did you have people advising you not to go on this sabbatical?
A: “Almost everyone told me I was getting married too early, that everything would be ruined. But I was clear that I didn’t want to put everything else in my life on hold till the camera and films got tired of me. I decide when I will do a film or get into business or anything else. Films cannot decide what I do in my life. Or else, I would be concentrating on the number game or getting a PR for myself.”
Q: But does that kind of attitude work in an industry like this one?
A: “It doesn’t actually. But I have been really lucky, I have always said that. I don’t think it can continue to work like that. Even now, I keep getting offers and I consider myself fortunate, because even as an actor, I have so many dos and don’ts as an actor too. I don’t know if it can work for everyone.”
Q: What are your dos and don’ts as an actor?
A: “Well, nothing in particular. Just some things that I am not comfortable doing. It has to with my moral fibre and I not saying anyone else is right or wrong. It’s just what I want to do or not.”
