The attitude of the committee is intimidating, alleged the doctors.

If Shahbaz Shraif calls the meeting by this Wednesday then they would meet him, otherwise the protest will start again, doctors warned.
Doctors appealed to the civil society to join hands with them to press their demands.

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a Levies post in Dera Murad Jamali on Sunday, killing one security personnel.

According to reports, Ali Hasan, a Balochistan Constabulary personnel, was killed in the attack.

The attackers snatched Hasan’s weapons and fled after the attack.

QUETTA: A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale shook Quetta and its surrounding areas, Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Riaz said Friday.

Thirteen people wounded who have been taken to the Civil Hospital Quetta.

The quake epicenter was approximately 70 kilometers northeast of Quetta.

Karachi, News Trends :- A small private plane of a private organization has crashed in the area of Gulistan-e Johar in Karachi, trendpk.Com reported on Friday.

The plane was on its way to the Bhit Shah oil fields from Karachi when it crashed due to some problems in its engine. The rescue teams and the law enforcing agencies reached the place of crash while the police have said that there are chances of causalities in the crash.According to the Civil Aviation Sources, more or less 10 people have died in the crash whose dead bodies have been pulled out of the debris whereas many others are injured who are being shifted to nearby hospitals.

Dr Imran Farooq’s body to be taken by helicopter

KARACHI: The route plan for the funeral procession of Dr. Imran Farooq’s body has been changed by the concerned authorities; it has been decided that the corpse of the deceased leader of Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will be directly taken by a helicopter to Jinnah Ground, Azizabad, from the airport of Karachi.

Earlier on Friday, the local leaders of Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the officials of Karachi’s Quid-e-Azam International Airport finalized the security arrangements for the arrival of remains and the procession of Dr. Imran Farooq’s funeral.

To finalize the security arrangements, a combined meeting of the officers of Airport Security Force (ASF), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and MQM leaders, Babar Ghauri and Rauf Siddiqui, was held at the Civil Aviation Headquarter.

HAVANA: A plane carrying 68 people crashed in central Cuba on Thursday night, the Cuban national television reported.

The ATR-72 turboprop plane of the state-run Aero Caribbean airline crashed near the village of Guasimal, 355 km east of Havana, in the central Sancti Spiritus province, the Civil Aeronautics Institute of Cuba (IACC) said.

There were no reports on the casualties so far.

The plane, with 61 passengers and seven crew members including 28 foreigners onboard, was flying to Havana from the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba at 4:45 p.m. (2145 GMT).

The plane lost contact with the control tower at 5:42 p.m. local time (2242 GMT).

An emergency committee has been formed to investigate the accident. An Il-18 plane of the Aero Caribbean airline crashed in mount Isabel de Torres in the Dominican Republic in 1992, killing all 34 people

Dr. Imran Farooq’s funeral procession arrangements finalized

KARACHI: The local leaders of Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the officials of Karachi’s Quid-e-Azam Internation Airport have finalized the security arrangements for the arrival of remains and the procession of Dr. Imran Farooq’s funeral.

To finalize the security arrangements, a combined meeting of the officers of Airport Security Force (ASF), the officers of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and MQM leaders, Babr Ghauri and Rauf Siddiqui, was held in the Civil Aviation Headquarter.

The meeting decided that on the morning of November 6, from 7.00am, the security of all routes from Star Gate to old terminal will be handed over to the volunteers of MQM.

The airport officials will issue two hundred security passes for the volunteers of MQM to go to the old terminal to perform their assigned security duties on November 6.
