ICC Rejects Sulman Butt’s Reply
International cricket council rejected the reply of former test captain of Pakistan Sulman Butt on the match fixing and spot fixing allegations and asked the suspended Pakistan player to file a fresh response within 24 hours. ICC has refused to accept the reply of charge sheet from of Sulman Butt and his legal team and asked to submit a fresh reply of charge sheet.
Now the lawyer of Sulman Butt Barrister Atzaz Ahsan prepared and submitted the amended reply of charge sheet through Sulman’s Indian origin lawyer in London Yaseen Patel.
On Thursday ICC returned the 40-pages reply filed by Sulman’s lawyers. The investigating body of ICC anti-corruption unit said that “the reply is not acceptable to them and it was just enough to reject the allegations made against him by ICC anti-corruption unit”. The legal team of Sulman Butt has termed that on 2 September decision of sustentation of their client and other two players was an illegal act of ICC.
The Legal team also questioned to ICC that more then three months have passed since the sustention was imposed and yet ICC is not reached at any decision. According to ICC rules and regulations the decision of any corruption case should be come within three months, in this regards ICC is violating its own terms.
In this reply the suspended captain has also expressed his no-confidence in Michael Beloff who heads the code of conduct commission and ICC Chief executive officer Haroon Lorgat. Sulman said that he expects no justice from the ICC tribunal that will hear his case on 6 January. It is to be noted that Haroon Lorgat on 6 December, given the statement that he would be disappointed if Pakistani cricketers implicated in the spot-fixing scandal are found not guilty.
The legal team of Sulman But had given examples to ICC of past cases of match-fixing in Pakistan cricket in this regard the case of former captain Waqar Younis has been mentioned as he was among the players fined and is now coach of the Pakistan team. In other two references the cases of two more former Pakistani players were described, the case of spinner Mushtaq Ahmed who paid his fine is now assistant coach of the English team and Akram Raza, after paying fine, now umpiring in Pakistan domestic cricket.
Sulman Butt is in deep frustration after the rejection of his reply from ICC tribunal. On the other hand Sulman’s lawyers have advised the former captain to appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sports after the ICC rejected a response filed by the suspended player.

City councilman Luis Cotto plans to introduce a resolution Monday denouncing Arizona’s passage of senate bill 1070, which requires that police detain people whom they “reasonably suspect” are in the country without authorization. The bill’s aim is to single out, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the measure into law on April 23.
Cotto’s resolution calls for a boycott of Arizona businesses and a cessation of Hartford travel to that state. It also urges public and private universities with campuses in Hartford to pass on invitations to any sports tournaments in Arizona.
“The contents of this law will inevitably lead to racial profiling … and create a wedge between law enforcement and ethnic communities,” the resolution states.
Added Cotto: “I feel that it is very important to send a message to the government of Arizona that we disagree with their actions 100 percent and that we stand with the people who will be targeted as a result of this new law. While we cannot directly affect policy change in a different state, we can exert pressure by taking our business elsewhere like other cities are doing.”
he Arizona state legislature, the courts or the Federal Government invalidates this dangerous and discriminatory law.”
SEIU adds itself to a growing list of unions and cities that are refusing to do business with Arizona in protest of immigration bill SB 1070.
The tourism industry is a vital staple for the Arizonan economy, and some hotel owners and other elements of the industry have already expressed concern about the prospect of their businesses taking a big hit due to the recently-passed new law.
braille

Braille, which has been the only form of reading for blind people, is expected to near extinction as the technologically advanced audio books are gaining popularity.
For those who don’t know what Braille is, it’s a code that uses embossed dots that represent alphanumeric characters in groups of up to six dots for one character. The resultant coded lines could be read by blind people by touching the dots and feeling the pattern that makes up letters, words and sentences.
Presently there is a big argument going on about the salvation of the Braille. Both opponents have valid points. The Braille is necessary because it teaches blind students to read and there are huge libraries that contain books written in Braille. To gain all that knowledge the Braille code is mandatory. On the other hand the audio books are easy to make and you don’t need any expensive equipment, because the audio book is an audio file that could be run on a computer or an mp3 player. Braille books however, cost a lot and need a lot of time and expensive equipment to make. So the real question is; does the money that is saved by producing audio books justify the depravity of a skill? The answer to this question is a difficult one. It could be argued that of all the blind children, there is a large percentage that is not entirely blind. They can read normal text provided that there is a lot of light and the font is big. Do those children need to be taught Braille? The list of such questions is very long, but conclusively,
learning Braille is knowledge because all Braille books that are present today will be present in the future, but in the future it is possible that Braille books are no longer produced, only audio files are produced.
The Braille system was based on a method of communication originally developed by Charles Barbier in response to Napoleon’s demand for a code that soldiers could use to communicate silently and without light at night called night writing. Barbier’s system was too complex for soldiers to learn, and was rejected by the military. In 1821 he visited the National Institute for the Blind in Paris, France, where he met Louis Braille. Braille identified the major failing of the code, which was that the human finger could not encompass the whole symbol without moving, and so could not move rapidly from one symbol to another. His modification was to use a 6 dot cell — the Braille system — which revolutionized written communication for the blind.

LONDON: Muslim League (N) Leader Nawaz Sharif has said the PCO judges have been first time relieved from their offices in national history.
Addressing the party workers in London, Nawaz Sharif said the parliament could make history by cancelling the 17th constitutional amendment. He demanded for enforcement of the Article 6 of the constitution.
He said all wars between Pakistan and India were fought during the dictatorial rules. The country has been left behind in the race of development due to continuous violation of the constitution, he said.
“Pakistan is a nuclear power but has been economically fragile,” Nawaz said. The military should pledge not to impose martial law anymore, he said.
