After Big B announced the commencement of the popular show Kaun Banega Crorepati, it’s now time for none other than Salman Khan. Sallu will soon be seen hosting season 4 of the popular reality show Bigg Boss.

For some time now, there has been quite a lot of speculation whether King Khan AKA Shahrukh Khan will be the host; however, all rumours have been put to rest with Sallu being nominated as the host for the show. Sallu even tweeted about the same stating, “Doing bigg bossssssssssssssssssssssss! boss .”

Though the dates of the show haven’t yet been finalized, it is said that Sallu and Big B will be pitting their with against each other as show hosts on two different shows with the latest season of Bigg Boss being said to start alongside KBC. On previous seasons other prominent Bollywood stars like Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh himself have been hosts, so what’s left to be seen is how Sallu treats the show. But knowing his unique persona and charisma, as seen in his early show 10 Ka Dum, audiences can be rest assured that he will rock.

"Hrithik and I did meet up" – Shekhar Kapur

Is he or is he not playing a lead in the biggest and the most ambitious film ever by a film maker of Indian origin? This has been the question making the rounds of the industry circles ever since his last venture Kites got tangled at the box office. We are talking about Hrithik Roshan whose presence in Shekhar Kapur’s Paani is turning out to be mystery. In wake of any official confirmation coming in from either the director or the actor, there is no absolute certainty around the two joining hands for this multi million dollar film which would be shot in India.

With the commencement of the test shoot of the film in the slums of Juhu, it is now certain that Paani is happening for sure. However, with no concrete announcement around Hrithik coming in, there are doubts creeping in about his Hollywood dreams finding any further direction after Kites.

“Kites is a big setback as far as working in mega crore ventures for Hrithik is concerned”, comments a trade follower, “In the past he has done quite well in national as well as international circuits as long as he was making films for Indian audience and told stories in an Indian way. He did experiment in a big way with Kites and as is known to one and all by now, the film neither cut an ice in India nor overseas.”

As of now, Hrithik has left the debacle of Kites behind and moved on to Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Meanwhile Shekhar Kapur is in India and busy with the test shoot of Paani. He is quite calm though when questioned around the status of Paani, the first full fledged film that he is directing three years after Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007).

He says, “It is still too early to talk about casting at all. There is no point doing that because the film has been going through final stage of scripting. It is being completed as we talk. Post that an announcement around casting would take place.”

Meanwhile, what’s the last word on Hrithik when it comes to Paani? After all there can be no smoke without fire. Was he or was he not approached for the film? Were there any discussions whatsoever or was everything coming out of thin air?

“Hrithik and I did have discussions around Paani and we are interested in working with each other. However, just being interested enough doesn’t necessarily amount to a collaboration taking place. There are a lot of factors that have to be considered. The process is on and we would know by end of July. Stay tuned”, signs off Shekhar.

Well, we are for sure!

Abdul Basit maintained that Pakistan was a responsible state and answers Indian accusations through proper channel. He said India just look at terrorist incidents in its own territory and neglect terrorism in Pakistan. If Pakistan and India do not hold talks, it would be tantamount to the accomplishment of the terrorists’ agenda. Abdul Basit said US-India relations did not affect Pakistan unless they’re not against Pakistan’s interests.
The foreign office spokesman said India did not seem intent on initiating the composite talks with Pakistan. Pakistan wishes the commencement of the composite talks with India, not just a photo session, adding his country wants fruitful negotiations with its neighbor. The FO spokesman said if the negotiations were not jump-started, it would be a step forward towards the completion of terrorists’ agenda, adding it seemed India did not want peace in the region and was not serious in resolution of issues relating Kashmir and water. Abdul Basit said India wanted to dither the resolution of problems by abandoning the negotiations.
