Priyanka Chopra turns dictator in Brazil

She’s hardly the dost-host in Rio de Janeiro where the stunts for Khatron Ke Khiladi (Fear Factor) are being shot.
According to news filtering out of the beaches of Copacabana where the first batch of stunts were shot last week with the 13 contestants, hostess Priyanka Chopra was not kidding when she had said she would make the contestants hate her with her instructions.
According to at least 2 contestants who spoke from the location, Priyanka has transformed into quite a whip-wielding dictator in the sizzling climes of Brazil. She makes the contestants work relentlessly and hardly provides them with a moment of breather to replenish their energy.
Says one of the exhausted contestants, “She carries not a whip, but a whistle which is as good as whip. The whistle is with her throughout from 7.30 am in the morning till late evening when we pack up. And she uses the whistle to intimidate us like no other woman in our lives has ever intimidated us.”
In fact the contestants are so fed up of the whistle that they plan to steal it and throw it into the ocean.
But Priyanka is relentless in her adherence to the regime. Says a source from Rio, “Priyanka is determined to prove she can orchestrate the contestant’s stunts as effectively as Akshay Kumar in the first two seasons of Fear Factor. She is up at dawn and ready to play hard ball with the contestants by 7.30 am every morning. The stunts start by 8.30 am but not before a very close and careful briefing by the stunt director to make sure no one breaks any bones on location.”
Throughout these stunts, Priyanka is as detached dispassionate and ruthlessly professional as a doctor performing an intricate surgery. She does not fraternize with any of the contestants, not even Dino Morea whom she knows well.
Says the source, “The only time she loosens up is towards the evening when she seems more relaxed. Otherwise she is so professional, it’s scary.”
Priyanka says she’s doing her job exactly the way she is supposed to. “We are not here for a picnic. It’s a tough regimen,” she says.
Vashu Bhagnani brings Mary Chia to Bollywood

Producer Vashu Bhagnani thinks Bollywood’s actresses need to take extra care of their skin. He has now gone and tied up with the world-renowned Singapore-based skincare and spa-services company Mary Chia and would now be bringing their special beauty treatments especially to Bollywood.
Meetings and negotiations between Bhagnani and Mary Chia have been on for months. The deal has finally been signed.
Says Vashu, “People may think I am diversifying because of the recession in the film industry. Not so. In fact I’m next producing a multi-starrer comedy to be directed by Sajid Khan. No, my tie-up with Mary Chia is predominantly for Bollywood. I feel our industry girls still have a long way to go in understanding skin care.”
Interestingly, Shilpa Shetty who is Vashu’s neighbour at the high-rise that Vashu owns in Juhu is also into skin and spa outlets in Mumbai.
Says Vashu, “We aren’t in competition with anyone. Mary Chia is another league completely.”
Celebrity contestants for Fear Factor 3 finalized

After all the initial hype and hoopla (sandwiched with controversies), the final (and the much awaited) list of the contestants of Fear Factor 3 is ready at last! Readers may recall that, the programme has been in the news since a few months now. Firstly, it was because the host of the first two seasons Akshay ‘Khiladi’ Kumar was replaced by Miss Priyanka Chopra, who seems to be all game for any kind of stunts and daredevilry! Secondly, the reason for the delay was the sudden exit by many leading cricketers who were initially supposed to be the contestants on the show.
Well, the present day status is that the required quota of contestants have been filled, whose names read as follows: Rahul Bose, Terrence Lewis (choreographer), Cyrus Broacha, Rahul Dev, Milind Soman, Manjyot Singh (the affable Sardar of Oye Lucky Lucky Oye fame), Abhishek ‘Gattu’ Kapoor, Shabbir Ahluvalia, Karan Singh Grover, Dino Morea, Armaan Ebrahim (car racer), and the squash sensation Ritwik Bhattacharya.
With such a mixed bag of contestants and Priyanka Chopra as the icing, it remains to be seen how Piggy Chops handles the action packed show.
Priyanka performs heart-in-the-mouth motorbike stunts in Bangkok

Priyanka has just returned from shooting stunts in Bangkok, and she’s super-excited. “I rode a dirt bike. I shot with an alligator and a bull. It was fun.”
Now she’s looking forward to providing a huge distraction to the contestants on Fear Factor. “That’s what my intention is. To make them so distracted they won’t be able to do their stunts.”
After a rejuvenating birthday holiday in Phuket, Priyanka Chopra flew to Bangkok to shoot the promotional video for Khatron Ke Khiladi (Fear Factor).
About the holiday, Priyanka says, “Apart from the mishap that happened when I dropped my phone in the water and couldn’t receive any birthday greetings, I had a fun time. Like I had told you before I left, I was generally not recognized. But even if I was I didn’t mind. Being recognized is part and parcel of what I do.” Priyanka feels a change within herself. “I feel I’ve become reclusive. I like to be within myself.”
The stunts involved a motorbike race where Priyanka challenged a group of punks to a race through a terrain that would scare even a Grand Prix winner. Priyanka had to ride through some of the most impossibly-rugged terrain. According to crew members who had gathered to shoot the video, the male mo’bike members used for the film were all professional riders used to riding at high speed through the most rugged hinterland.
Priyanka not only had to ride with these experts, she had to look better than them on camera. She had been secretly practising for the heart-in-the-mouth mo’bike stunts for weeks. The channel had offered to get a body-double to do the really intricate portions in the shooting. But Priyanka insisted on doing the entire mo’bike stunt-stint on her own.
So excited and charged did she get that she shot for a full twenty hours on the first of the two days of shooting in Bangkok.
Says Priyanka, “There is no challenge in half-measures. You either do the whole thing or don’t do it at all. I’ve always been fascinated by mo’bikes. I love mo’bike stunts. When I had seen Tom Cruise do the mo’bike stunts, my first thought was, ‘Gawd if only I could get to do that.’ I guess my wish came true.”
The ride was not all fun and games. Priyanka has returned to Mumbai with quite a number of bruises. “But the pain was worth it. You can’t be one of the boys on the bike and not get your share of bruises.”
She intends to wrap up all her assignments by October before heading for the shooting of Don 2 in Berlin.

Mutton is the meat of domestic sheep, according to wikipedia. In contrast, lamb refers to the meat from an animal in its first year.
Mutton from older sheep produces a richer flavor but it would take longer time to cook compared to lamb. So if you intend to slow cook some meat of sheep, mutton, but not lamb should be your choice.
In Chinese culture, mutton is believed to boost energy and a person’s lust or sexual drive as well. Men who want to boost their bedroom performance may consider regularly eating mutton. That is probably one of the reasons that men in Middle East are physically able to handle multiple wives.
Mutton can be good for women too. Those who suffer lower abdomen pain during menstruation may try mutton in a dose of 50 grams per meal. Women who lack interest in sex might want to try this wonder meat also.
In addition to mutton, other foods including garlic, vitamin C, salmon fish, beaf and seafoods may help boost men’s performance in bed.
The Chinese people say mutton is “hot”, meaning that it generates lots of energy and the eater would feel hot after eating some mutton. That is probably why people say that eating mutton can improve blood circulation, warming inguinal region, improve digestive enzymes, benefit kidneys.

Al and Tipper Gore separate after 40 years of marriage. This might seem that Al Gore and Tipper Gore did not strived in building strong relationship for their affair. But the Gore couple ended their marriage in a mutually supportive decision. Al Gore announced the news in an email:
“This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration,” they wrote. “We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further.”

Al Gore and Tipper Gore just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. This is one of the reasons why the “Al and Tipper Gore Separate” news stunned the public.
Al Gore and Tipper Gore have been known having an image of a happily married couple during his eight-year stint as vice president in the 1990s and a presidential candidate in 2000. Al Gore and Tipper Gore locked lips at the 2000 Democratic National Convention where Al Gore was nominated as the Democratic presidential nominee that year.

Oddballs and train wrecks have helped make NBC’s America’s Got Talent TV’s top-rated show for four straight summers. Though viewers can expect more of the same as Season 5 begins tonight (8 ET/PT), Talent judge Piers Morgan says the entertainment caliber will be the series’ best yet.
“I know these things get hyped, but we’ve already sent home several acts that would have made the finals in past years,” he says. “There’s more talent and more variety, and the talent is so good.”
This season’s pool of singers is especially strong, influenced, Morgan says, by Susan Boyle, the matronly Scot who became a YouTube sensation (100 million hits and counting) and recording star after appearing on the British version of Talent.
“She empowered people who wouldn’t have normally auditioned,” Morgan says.
CALENDAR: Check out what summer TV has to offer
Given the Talent’s $1 million grand prize and its variety format, the series has never lacked for starry-eyed hopefuls. In 12 cities, including Denver, Chicago, Orlando, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, executive producer Jason Raff saw contestants using turkey basters as musical instruments, male belly dancers, a kid who manipulates his eyebrows to music and a guy whose eyes remain open when he sneezes.
“After five years, it still amazes me what people will do,” says Raff, whose crew uncovered country singer Kevin Skinner, the Kentucky chicken wrangler who won the top prize last year.
Howie Mandel, who replaced David Hasselhoff as a judge, says he got a kick out of many of the tryouts.
“I love great talent, but I love bad talent, too,” he says. “I’ve been onstage for 32 years. I think I can identify the ‘it’ factor, the wow factor.”
Yet at times, there were surreal moments. “There’s a thin delineation between an act and real life,” Mandel says. “There was a girl chewing on a light bulb, her smile darkened by blood. It didn’t look real at first. I thought this must be an act. But then she was on her way to the hospital.”
Thousands of auditions prompted “a lot of ‘Oh my Lord’ moments,” says host Nick Cannon.
“It seemed a lot more dangerous this year,” he says. “There was tons of bleeding. Someone put a drill down their throat. Someone was chopping wood. People who do things and have the audacity to think this is worth $1 million.”
Deciding which acts to advance for midsummer live shows — the job of Morgan, Mandel and returning judge Sharon Osbourne— caused some friction that in itself may be entertaining.
“I had two missions: One, to find the next great talent. The other, seeing how far I could push Piers in taste,” Mandel says.

Co-Host Jill Wagner Wouldn’t Mind Experiencing ‘Wipeout’ Standing by the sidelines watching person after person go through giant balls for thousands of dollars may be exciting for us, but host Jill Wagner wants to be in on the action. She’s never tried to be in the shoes of a participant on Wipeout, although she might just go ahead one day.

“I’m not going to say no, I just haven’t yet. But you know they’d never do it without a camera rolling,” she told the Boston Herald. None of the other hosts has completed the whole course either.
“They’ve never tried it,” Wagner said of co-hosts John Henson and John Anderson. “I’m really hoping they do it, and my money would be on Anderson. I’d love to see them do it as long as I don’t have to go after them. Unless they throw the $50,000 in. Then I’d have to consider it.”
She also related her experience throughout the series, from admiring the courage of the contestants to laughing it all out when they slide into mud. Though Wagner does feel sympathy for those braving the obstacle course, it’s simply human nature to break out in giggles upon watching them fall.
“As much as I love these contestants, and I kind of bond with them beforehand, it’s almost like seeing a sister or brother go up there,” the Wipeout personality said, “Of course you want to see them get Motivated.”
Before we think of this as some inspirational quote, remember that Wipeout has a machine called the Motivator. It’s a swinging pendulum that slams into participants from behind, just so they can hurry up and entertain us more.
Still, that isn’t what Jill Wagner is excited about, if ever she’ll end up on the Wipeout course. She told Hollywood Outbreak: “Before it’s all said and done, I do want to try the Big Balls. And I mean that in the most non-weird sort of way.”
