Shoaib Malik included in Pakistan team
The former captain will also join Pakistan cricket team’s training camp today which is currently underway at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
Earlier, Shoaib Malik was cleared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) integrity committee on Friday and was eligible for selection for the national team.
Malik has not played for the national side since the controversy-filled tour of England last summer, and has been involved in a long-drawn out battle with the PCB to be cleared.
The main issue blocking Malik s clearance was certain deposits in his overseas bank account, but the PCB has said in their release announcing Malik s clearance that he was able to provide evidence that the deposits did not emanate from any questionable source or activity.
Enforcement Directorate confiscates Adnan Sami’s properties
Adnan Sami came to Mumbai and shot to fame with songs like ‘Kabhi Toh Nazar Milaao’, ‘Lift Kara De’ and likes. The songs became so famous far and wide that Adnan, in no time, became the blue eyed boy of the music industry. Not the one to ‘throw his weight around’; he shocked everyone with ‘shedding off his weight’, one fine day!
Post that, he has been in the news mostly for his personal reasons than professional. Few days back, Adnan was in the news for his estranged relationship with his ex-wife. His family issues were out in the open. And now just when, things seemed to settle down for the singer, another controversy has struck him.
It is learnt that The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has confiscated Adnan’s eight properties and five parking spaces under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). According to the reports, ED slapped the penalty on Adnan on grounds of illegal possession of the estate and now as per FEMA, Adnan’s same belongings have become government properties. Not just that, the Directorate not only imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh on him, (as being a Pakistan national, he was not allowed to acquire properties in India), but also charged him with purchasing properties without the permission of the Reserve Bank of India.
News has it that the singer had purchased eight flats in Andheri for Rs 2.53 crore and had taken loan of Rs 1.5 crore from a bank for the purchase.

Much of the controversy centres on Zardari, who brought scorn on himself by visiting a family chateau in France as the floods gathered pace in August , a move advisers admit was a public relations disaster.
A senior western official confirmed reports that the army chief had asked the president to remove named loyalists from his 60-member cabinet as part of an internal reform process. The official did not give the requested names.
Analysts said the army stance reflected a

Anupam Kher to play Hitler, Neha Dhupia will be Eva Braun

‘Controversy and Anupam Kher go hand in hand’ sounds absolutely vague and ambiguous as compared to the statement ‘Controversy and Hitler go hand in hand’. Well, if you are wondering about the link between the Bollywood actor and the dictator, well, think no further as the fact is that Anupam Kher has been signed up to star in a film called Dear Friend Hitler. The film being directed by the debutante Rakesh Ranjan, will also Neha Dhupia as Eva Braun.
Well, no sooner the film was announced, it started making headlines, for all the wrong reasons. It got bad press from renowned international newspapers like Dawn and The Guardian, stating that the film is aimed at glorifying Hitler. Speaking exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Anupam Kher said, “According to me, Hitler is a controversial figure and it suits the western media. What I find ironical is the fact that how can someone pass any judgment on the film even without seeing the film or knowing the script. Let me clarify that this film is about the downfall of Hitler and nothing else. They can make anything which they want to make. Somebody has tweeted me saying that two French newspapers have written this as a main story of their editions.”
One just hopes that the controversy gets settled as soon as possible, as we are sure that the audiences all over are dying to see the cut-throat and cut-moustache Hitler, courtesy Anupam Kher!

LIVERPOOL have entered final negotiations with manager Rafael Benitez over a multi-million pound pay-off that will see the Spaniard leave the club this summer after six years.
The Telegraph can disclose that the club board, led by new chairman Martin Broughton, has concluded that Benitez is no longer the man to deliver progress at Anfield.

Broughton and managing director Christian Purslow are understood to have held a series of meetings with Benitez to discuss his future in the last month and, following consultation with co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, have authorised discussions over the terms of Spaniard’s exit.
Moratti told reporters in Italy: “The next few hours could be decisive. But we must ask (technical director Marco) Branca.”
Should Benitez take charge of the Serie A champions as expected, he will reportedly sign three-year terms worth 5million euros a season (£3.5m).
Benitez appears set to take his Anfield assistant Mauricio Pellegrino, goalkeeping coach Xavi Valero and fitness coach Paco de Miguel with him, with Italian Amedeo Carboni – who played under Benitez as a midfielder at Valencia – also likely to be added to his backroom staff.

Benitez had been linked with a move to Juventus, however the Old Lady moved to appoint former Sampdoria boss Luigi del Neri before he had left Liverpool.
Under normal circumstances Rafa Benitez would only be considered a moderately successful manager with a terrible season a perfectly valid reason to appoint a new manager. However over the last 3 years the highly leveraged American buy-out has removed the cashflow necessary to continually compete at the highest level and maintain a strong squad.

Mr. Tripathi also made light of the controversy over the January 31 resolution of City Corporation permitting Managing Director Aniruddha Deshpande to bid for an IPL team on behalf of the company.
“So far as bidding for IPL team is concerned, the March 17 resolution is final and the earlier decision stands cancelled,” he said and asserted that Mr. Pawar and his family had no stakes in the IPL.
