Tempers have been raised after the Conservatives accused the Labour party of targeting cancer sufferers with leaflets.
Thousands of leaflets have been sent out to women saying the Conservatives would scrap Labour guarantees for suspected breast cancer patients.
Shadow health secretary Andrew Lansley said the leaflets “shocked” him and demanded an apology from his counterpart, Andy Burnham.
“It is shameful that the Labour Party have decided to deliberately scare and misrepresent what we have said,” he said.
“I am actually rather shocked that they are trying to target breast cancer patients and alarm them by making up stories about that the Conservative Party would do.”
But Labour denies specifically targeting cancer sufferers.
“The Labour party would never specifically target any material at people suffering from a medical condition,” a spokesman said.
“Over the past months, Labour has sent out literature on a range of issues including the cancer guarantee.
“Obviously we would never mean to cause offence to anyone, especially to anyone suffering from cancer. It is because we want to give the best treatment and to support those affected by cancer that we introduced the cancer guarantee.” Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley said he was “shocked” by this and Labour was trying to “scare” people.
Labour said it would never specifically target anyone with a medical condition.
The leaflets were part of a range of campaign literature dispatched over the past month on issues such as health, crime and education, a party spokesman said.
The personalised mail-shots contained a message from a breast cancer survivor praising Labour’s policy – which guarantees that women thought to have signs of breast cancer can see a specialist within two weeks of being referred by a GP.

This is surely not the way that party revelers would want a college party to conclude. As thousands of students amalgamated at an open air party adjoining the James Madison University campus, police authorities had to be called in order to control the massive crowd. Reports have stated that authorities had to resort to tear gas and pepper spray in order to bring the unruly crowd under control.
According to reports, the incident took place on Saturday afternoon when an estimated eight thousand people gathered for the party in the vicinity of the James Madison University campus. The crowd is said to have turned almost unmanageable when the authorities asked it to get dispersed. Instead of following the orders, the large number of people gathered which supposedly comprised mostly of college goers, started throwing beer bottles at the officers. It has also been reported that following the incident, few people were taken into custody while some of the individuals also received injuries in the tussle that ensued with the police authorities.
While divulging details about the incident, a Harrisonburg Police Department official Lt. Kurt Boshart revealed that trouble started brewing in the party owing to the fact that around eight thousand people attended the party which usually attracts only about one to two thousand party revelers. Although the reason which propelled such large number of people to congregate at the party is yet unknown, authorities have pointed out that it might have resulted from the fact that the event was promoted on the social networking site Facebook.

Kobe Bryant was the man that fans voted the best player of the decade by the fans on NBA.com, with Lebron James voted second. Top 6 Players of the Decade (in order)
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James
Shaquille O’Neal
Tim Duncan
Steve Nash
Kevin Garnett
Charles Barkley was outspoken in his defence of O’Neal – ‘That just really shows you fans don’t know anything’.
Kenny Smith added ‘From the middle of the decade to the end’ Kobe probably was the best player, but he agreed with Barkley that Shaq was the player of the decade.
Bryant won four championships during the decade, in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2009.

Pacquiao Vs Mayweather March 13
Pacquiao Vs Mayweather March 13, Get ready for a fight Pacquiao vs Mayweather March 13? Reports of Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. confirmed March 13, 2010 struggle today are misleading. March 13 as a night of Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight is not confirmed.
On November 23, 2009 Lalat reported that Golden Boy Promotions Richard Schaefer and Top Rank’s Bob Arum met for lunch to discuss the details of 2010 Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight. However, countless pages of this morning wrote that Schaefer and Arum began only this week’s meeting.
Wrong.
In fact, since November 23, have both confirmed they were in talks. Schaefer, Rafael toldDan after the meeting was going to begin negotiations, but both fields are not more talk.
“As part of the negotiations, both Bob and I had to agree to keep all conversations confidential. No comment, will continue to be until such time that either have an agreement or negotiations to collapse.”
Secondly, the websites today are reporting a March 13 fight has now been confirmed.
Also incorrect.
“The much anticipated fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is all but set for March 13.”
The rest of the article states that 13 March is an option, but has not been agreed by Pacquiao. “Mayweather has accepted the terms and (Pacquiao) promoter Bob Arum is making a trip to Manila, Philippines, to finalize an agreement with Pacquiao.”
Bottom line – a) March 13 could happen b) the location of your site has not even been established Cowboys Stadium and the MGM in Las Vegas and talk about options.
