Bangladesh consents to cricket team visit to Pakistan

LAHORE: Bangladesh government gave a go-ahead to its cricket team to visit Pakistan in April, revealed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman on Tuesday.
Talking to media on the occasion of Benazir Bhutto Women Cricket Challenge Trophy’s final here, the PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf said Bangladesh is willing to send its cricket team to Pakistan, adding security officials will shortly visit Pakistan for clearance report.
Later on, the schedule of Pakistan visit will be hammered out, he added.
Ashraf informed International Cricket Council (ICC) did not voice reservations over sending officials for the upcoming Pak-Bangladesh cricket series possibly to be set in April, adding the world cricket body wants a boost to sports in Pakistan.
The board chief said negotiations with other countries besides Bangladesh for Pakistan visit, are in progress, he added. TrendPK
Qaim calls cricket as ‘national game’
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah called cricket as the ‘national game’ instead of hockey here on Friday.

Captain should be one in trio formats of cricket: Imran Khan
The former captain of Pakistan cricket team Imran Khan has said that there should be one captain for the all formats of cricket. He said that with this, the team can run on the victory way. He was addressing in Lahore in a ceremony, in honor of ICC Elite Umpire Panel. Aleem Dar, who was the only umpire in the World Cup 2011 whose all decisions were 100% accurate and not a single decision upheld when review.
Imran Khan said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should persuade Shahid Afridi to become the captain of Test cricket team too due to this the actual capabilities are came into know. He added that, in Indian cricket team MS Dhoni is the captain of trio formats, he captained well in hard circumstances and made his side world champion. Former captain said that nothing will be change by changing coaches again and again, the system will be better if captaincy became right.
We couldn’t handle the pressure in semi-final: Imran Khan
Imran Khan further said that the players feel a lot of pressure in World Cup and I am very hurt on the defeat of Pakistan in semi-final against India in Mohali. Imran Khan said that if green shirts came under pressure, if it got success in losing pressure, defiantly they can defeat the home side. Imran Khan said that I advised many times to correct the batting order, but the management not listed to me, due to which the result came in defeat, he said that four catches of Sachin Tandulkar were dropped but despite of this he played the innings of 85 runs. Indian team batted in pressure, but when it came on us, we failed to handle this.

Imran Khan said that if Pakistan’s cricket system was strong, we don’t have to lose the bowler like Muhammad Amir I haven’t seen bowler like him in my life. In regard to his age, he was more talented pacer then Wasim Akram.
Green shirts sale bumped up in Karachi
The official Pakistan cricket team shirts have become a hotcake in Karachi as people want to have them before the Pakistan versus India semi-final clash on Wednesday in Mohali.
The green shirts have gone out of stock and the shopkeepers are charging higher prices for them. Meanwhile, young men took out a motorcycle rally to express their solidarity with the team and chanted slogans in favour of the team and players.
People from every walk of life expressed their excitement for the match and said that they were anticipating a Pakistani victory in the semi-final against India.
Squad to perform well in NZ tour, says Intikhab
Manager Pakistan Cricket Team Intikhab Alam has said that the team would focus on its performance during its New Zealand tour while Coach Waqar Younis opined that it has always been tough to defeat NA on its home ground. Alam said that the team is well aware of the expectations besides the fact that violation would not be tolerated at any cost. Pakistani team does not afford any other scandal, Intikhab said. Pakistan would play 3 T20s, 2 Tests and 6 ODIs against NZ.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Team has made a world record by scoring 517 runs against South Africa in the second ODI of the series, trendpk.Com reported on Thursday.
In the second ODI in Cape Town Pakistan scored 517 runs while batting first. national blind Team broke its own record by scoring 517 runs. Earlier Pakistan had scored 498 runs against England in Sharjah.
Masood Jan scored a marvellous century in today’s match. Pakistan has also clean sweeped the South Africans in 3-match t20 series against them.
