Billy Ray Cyrus Drops the Divorce

The Cyrus Family have been in the headlines a lot lately, both together and individually. Especially Billy Ray Cyrus when he spoke out about his divorce and his daughter in his now infamous interview with GQ magazine. He caused a real stir in the media by saying “Hannah Montana” had “destroyed my family”.
Billy Ray has done somewhat of a turnaround by announcing on the talk show, “The View”, that he has dropped the divorce. He had filed for divorce in October 2010 after 17 years of marriage.
“I’ve dropped the divorce. I want to put my family back together… Things are the best they’ve ever been.”
Billy Ray also took the opportunity during the interview to do some damage control for comments he’s previously made about his daughter Miley. During the interview he went on to say;
“I feel like I got my Miley back. I feel like we’re the daddy and daughter we were before Hannah Montana.”

“Leave my family, leave people’s families alone…When it was Bill Clinton, you don’t go after Chelsea Clinton. You don’t talk about the Bush kids. Now, the minute they get into politics, that’s a different story. You leave the families alone.”
That was Glenn Beck talking with Sarah Palin, talking about how a reporter was getting to close to the Palin family at their Alaska home. Beck stood up for Palin, and said that a pundit should leave the families out of it.
Shortly after, Beck went after President Obama’s daughter, 11 year old Malia Obama.
On Beck’s radio show, not only did he insult Malia, but he mocked her too.

BECK: (imitating Malia) Daddy? Daddy? Daddy, did you plug the hole yet? Daddy?
BECK: (imitating Malia) Why do you hate black people so much?
BECK: “Did you plug the hole yet, daddy?” Is that’s their — that’s the level of their education, that they’re coming to — they’re coming to daddy and saying ‘Daddy, did you plug the hole yet?’ ” Plug the hole!
BECK (imitating Malia) Why, why, why, why, do you still let the polar bears die? Daddy, why do you still let Sarah Palin destroy the environment? Why are — Daddy, why don’t you just put her in some sort of a camp?
Beck has since apologized for his remarks about Malia. To Beck’s credit, he did own up to his hypocrisy, saying “the children of public figures should be left on the sidelines. It was a stupid mistake and I apologize–and as a dad I should have known better.
Oklahoma Road Conditions: Winter Storm Hits City on First Day of Spring

A powerful storm has hit Oklahoma and the southern Plains today – which also happens to be the first day of spring. Reports say that the storm has brought heavy snow and strong winds that may create blizzard-type conditions in Oklahoma.
Officials have reported that the strong winds of up to 40 mph could cause blowing snow and may even hamper NCAA tournament games scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday in Oklahoma City.
This Oklahoma winter storm has led to the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the state is contacting all help centers incase the storm gets big.
The storm in Oklahoma has led to increasing curiosity on the Oklahoma road conditions.

Playoutdoors.com offers five great outdoor activities that every member of the family can be thankful for to feel a part of the festive fun.
1. Take a family walk after the meal (if it’s snowing, get the whole family together to snowshoe in the yard)
2. Create a backyard treasure hunt for the kids where they have to find Thanksgiving-themed items like: mini pumpkins, leaves, turkey, pumpkin pie, pilgrims, etc. These items can be made from construction paper or can be purchased at party stores.
3. Start an annual family turkey trot. Players pair up by linking their elbows. Each team has their own turkey mascot (a football with construction taped turkey face on it, a stuffed animal turkey, a brown bag stuffed with newspaper and decorated like a turkey). The first team to make it to the finish line without dropping the turkey and unlinking their arms wins.
4. Set up a craft table in the back yard where kids can create their own turkey hats, hand turkeys, glue leaves and sticks on paper, turkey napkin holders etc.
5. Before recycling the food containers from your Thanksgiving meals, create an outdoor game bowling where guests roll a pumpkin into plastic soda bottles, tin cans or boxes that can be reused as bowling pins. Source

Shaniya Davis funeral video, More than 2000 people joined Shaniya Davis’ father, Bradley Lockhart, Sunday, at an emotional funeral for the North Carolina 5-year-old, who, police say, was raped, murdered, then thrown in a pile of trash bags and deer carcasses like she was someone’s garbage.
Shaniya Davis’ body was found Nov. 16, nearly a week after she was reported missing.
On Sunday, at the edge of his daughter’s casket, Lockhart said, “Shaniya, Daddy love you honey. And I know you’re gonna’ be waiting for me … I’ll see you when I get there.”
White doves were released during a graveside service.
Lockhart urged the 1,500 crowded into Manna Church and another 500 watching the service from an adjacent building to help the community’s needy, according to press reports.

The film stars Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Malik Yoba, Sharon Leal, Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Richard T. Jones and Keesha Sharp. The film was released in the United States by Lionsgate on October 12, 2007.
The film is the fourth film that Perry has written and directed. Why Did I Get Married? was rated PG-13 by the MPAA for “mature thematic material, sexual references and language”.
