PCB Omitted Senior Players Name From Proposed Central Contract List
According to reports PCB is working to find new talent from Pakistan cricket. PCB has omitted the names of senior players from the proposed central contract list. The names of Mohammad Yousuf, Shoaib Malik, Danish Kaneria and Rana Naved are omitted from the 30 players list who are proposed to award central contract.
There is also some information that the list has been sent to PCB’s integrity committee. The integrity committee now examines the list and then decides about the central contract.
While talking about the reasons of the players not included in the list there are various reasons for it. Malik and Kaneria have not been cleared from PCB integrity committee. While Rana Naveed and Muhammad Yusuf’s exclusion is still not cleared.
Now the integrity committee will forward its recommendations to the chairman of PCB Ijaz Butt and then Ijaz Butt will decide about it. According to reports the two players has been asked to submit the relevant papers to PCB integrity committee. The final decision will be made after they filed the paper demanded by committee.
Mohsin Hassan Khan is chief selector of PCB and he want to ensure to chose the best team comprising of young players. He also wants to provide chances to players from domestic set up.
PCB Integrity Committee Require Players Replies For Clearance

Pakistan Cricket Board was not able to meet the dead line of ICC for announcement of preliminary squad for the world cup. ICC after reviewing the application of PCB had extended the dead line for announcement of preliminary squad. Now PCB has dead line of 5th December to announce the squad for the world cup.
The reason for the delay was that the players were not getting clearance from PCB. Now PCB has asked players to submit their replies to the integrity committee of PCB. Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria were three players who didn’t get clearance from PCB. Now these players will submit their replies to committee.
PCB didn’t select these three players for the NZ tour and also not announce any reason for this. According to estimates their might be some instruction from ICC for not including the players in the squad. PCB didn’t announce the ODI team for the tour and it is expected that after clearance all three players will get their place in the squad.
Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik were not happy after the decision of not including them in the team. They demanded that PCB should tell them the reason for not selecting them even after they performed well in the Domestic.
Kaneria Confident Of Getting Clearance

Pakistan’s spinner Danish Kaneria is looking to get clearance from PCB for his inclusion in the 30 men preliminary squad for the world cup 2011. He said that he is cooperating with PCB and is fully confident that he will get clearance soon. He said he is fully cooperating with board’s integrity committee and telling them whatever they asked him. He added that his cooperation will be helpful for him in getting board clearance.
Kaneria added that he has provided the details of his bank accounts and properties. He added that he has details of all his assets.
Earlier he was selected for South Africa series and was stopped just minute before he was schedule to flight. He along with Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik is not able to get PCB clearance for selection.
He was charged for spot fixing in England while he was playing county. He was also under the criminal investigations. He was investigated by Essex police and was alleged for spot fixing. Later he was released when found no charges against him. Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal both have shown disappointment after not getting board clearance. PCB has asked ICC for the player clearance and it is probable that they might include in NZ ODI squad and 30 men World Cup Squad also.
Kamran,Shoaib And Kaneria Will Be Missing From World Cup Squad
According to media reporting in Pakistan three Pakistani players Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Danish Kaneria will not be a part of Pakistani squad for the world cup. These players are not selected for the tour of New Zealand and according to reports they will not be in World Cup 2011 squad.
ICC has not given clearance to these three players and it was reported earlier that ICC will send Pakistan a clearance list of players and then Pakistan will send 30 men list to ICC. It is reported today that three players did not get ICC clearance.
In the domestic cricket of Pakistan Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik performed well but still not picked by Pakistani selectors. The training camp for preparation of NZ tour has stated today and player reported and participated in the training secession.
Pakistan’s team manager Intakhab Alam said that there is a lot of potential in Pakistani players and they are lot better then New Zealand team. He also said that better cricket is expected in New Zealand’s tour.
It is also announce that world cup squad will be announce in New Zealand. The chance of coming back in team for Kamran Akmal, Shoadb Malik and Denish Kaneria is very few.

KARACHI: Pakistan omitted senior batsman and former captain Mohammad Yousuf on Tuesday from their squads for their tour of New Zealand next month.
Yousuf, one of Pakistan’s leading test batsmen, had to return home with a groin injury from Dubai last month without playing in the tests against South Africa. He has subsequently played domestic cricket.
He was not named in either the test or Twenty20 squads announced by The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) while wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and leg-spinner Danish Kaneria have again been overlooked.
“The one-day squad will be announced later on as first the team plays three T20 matches and two tests, and the ODI series starts from January 22,” a PCB spokesman said.
The selectors also ignored another former captain, Shoaib Malik, although he has been in prime form in domestic matches, scoring three successive

Kaneria was refused clearance by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to join the Test squad.

Hafeez has so far scored 677 runs
Sohail Tanveer Out From Test Squad Against South Africa
Left arm fast bowler Sohail Tanveer was looking to make in international cricket come back after a long time but he is out from test squad against South Africa. Injury is the main reason behind his exclusion from the team. Now he will not be able to make his international return at Abu Dhabi and Dubai. In a domestic match he got a blow on the knee. He also missed out the match in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy due to that injury.
Left arm pacer worked very hard to make his return but he got a knee injury. He was previously announced to be a part of Pakistan squad for test series. Sohail had major Knee operation in Australia and he makes his come by playing domestic cricket. Selectors have already said that he will be the part of international team only if will be 100% fit.
Selectors said that his medical reports suggests that he need time to get full fitness so he will not join Pakistan team for test matches in Dubai. On Monday five players including Mohammad Yousuf, leg spinner Danish Kaneria, pacer Muhammad Sami, batsman Azhar Ali and opener Taufeeq Umar will leave for Dubai and they will join Pakistan team in test matches.
Butt warns Yousuf alone can”t save Pakistan
NOTTINGHAM: Pakistan captain Salman Butt insisted recalling Mohammad Yousuf was far from a miracle cure for the team”s batting ills after their crushing 354-run first Test loss to England.
Just hours after Pakistan were bowled out for 80 – their lowest Test score against England – at Trent Bridge, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed former skipper Yousuf had been added to the squad.
The 35-year-old, a batsman with 7,431 Test runs to his name at an average of over 53, announced his retirement in March, having been handed an indefinite ban by the PCB after Pakistan”s disastrous tour of Australia where the team failed to win a single international match under his leadership.
Butt, speaking before the PCB announced Yousuf”s call-up, insisted the team
as it stood could turn things round in the five days between their defeat by England at Trent Bridge on Sunday and the start of the second of a four-Test
series at Edgbaston on Friday.
The opening batsman said Pakistan had shown their resilience by winning the previous week”s second Test against Australia by three wickets at Headingley, Butt”s first match as captain, after days earlier losing by a huge 150 run-margin to Ricky Ponting”s men at Lord”s.
Pakistan had no answer on Sunday as swing bowler James Anderson wreaked havoc with an astonishing return of six wickets for 17 runs in 15 overs on his way to a Test match-best haul of 11 for 71.
Consequently, Pakistan were never in the hunt for what would have been a new world record fourth innings victory total of 435.
Azhar Ali and Umar Amin, batting at three and four, managed just one run between them in the second innings slump in what was only their third Test after they each made their debuts at Lord”s.
Butt though insisted Pakistan had no option but to stick with Ali and Amin who both then played at Headingley where Pakistan ended a run of 15 years without a Test win over Australia with a three-wicket victory that squared that two-match series at 1-1.
“Whoever is in the Pakistan team is there because of his ability and needs to be given time to show what they are capable of,” said 25-year-old Butt, who inherited the captaincy after Shahid Afridi quit Test cricket following the loss at Lord”s.
Pakistan have now won just three out of their last 21 Tests and Butt said: “How many wins have Pakistan had with the people who were previously playing? Had we been winning with them in the team in the past two years then it could have been a mistake (to omit them).
“But the results were the same,” he added.
“In fact these guys (the current team) pulled off a victory after 15 years (against Australia). So people are not seeing the reality. We have to make people understand these are the guys for the future.”
However, Butt was careful to avoid giving a direct answer when asked whether favoured a recall for either Yousuf or Younus Khan, another ex-captain and experienced batsman who has been playing for English county Surrey this season.
“To bring somebody in or to send somebody back is not in my hands. That is
what the selectors are there for and it”s for the board to decide.”
Nevertheless, Butt stressed it was important for his novices to be given a fair chance.
“I am just two games old (as a captain). We have won one and lost the other. What do you expect from them – win every game? That will not happen.
“This is the time when you back your players. I know they can come back.”
The PCB also announced leg-spinner Danish Kaneria had been released back to English county Essex after his lone wicket at Trent Bridge cost an expensive 171 runs.
Yousuf summoned to join Pak team in England
NOTTINGHAM: Pakistan responded to their mammoth 354 run first Test defeat by England at Trent Bridge on Sunday by summoning former captain and experienced batsman Mohammad Yousuf to the squad.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also announced leg-spinner Danish Kaneria had been released back to English county side Essex.
A brief statement issued by the PCB in Lahore said: “Danish Kaneria is relieved from the national team and he is now available to play for his county Essex. His services will be available for national squad if required.
“Mohammad Yousuf and Raza Hasan (a left-arm spinner) are added to the national squad with immediate effect.”
The second Test of a four-match series starts at Edgbaston on Friday.
England record 354-run win dismissing Pakistan for 80
NOTTINGHAM: James Anderson took ten wickets in a Test for the first time as England beat Pakistan by a crushing 354 runs in their series opener at Trent Bridge here on Sunday.
Pakistan were dismissed for just 80 – their lowest Test total against England, replacing the 87 they made at Lord”s back in 1954 – before lunch on the fourth day.
They had been set a fourth innings target of 435 for victory that would have been a new world record had they acheived it.
But they got nowhere near, with swing specialist Anderson taking six wickets for 17 runs in 15 overs, including five wickets for 10 runs in 45 balls on Sunday, to add to his first innings five for 54.
That gave Anderson, who turned 28 on Friday, his best match haul of 11 for 71 in his 49-Test career, beating the nine for 98 he took against New Zealand on this ground two years ago.
Danish Kaneria (16 not out) and opener Imran Farhat (15) were the only Pakistan batsmen to make double-figure scores in the innings.
Pakistan resumed on 15 for three after their latest collapse in the face of accurate swing bowling in helpful, overcast conditions.
It wasn”t long before they were 37 for five.
Farhat edged Anderson to England captain Andrew Strauss at first slip before Umar Akmal was lbw after missing an inswinger.
Fast bowler Steven Finn then took two wickets for no runs in four balls as Pakistan”s wretched slump continued.
He struck fourth ball Sunday to end nightwatchman Mohammad Aamer”s hour-long resistance, courtesy of Kevin Pietersen”s catch in the gully.
Wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal, who had a poor game behind the stumps, then suffered his second nought of the game, lbw aiming across the line at Finn.
Anderson then had Umar Gul brilliantly caught by a leaping Paul Collingwood at third slip and the duo combined again to give the Lancashire seamer his 10th wicket when Shoaib Malik exited for nine.
And he wrapped up the match when last man Mohammad Asif fell for nought, caught in the slips by Graeme Swann.
England”s batsmen too found runs hard to come by against Pakistan”s pace trio of Mohammad Aamer, Asif and Gul.
But former Ireland left-hander Eoin Morgan, whose 130 was his maiden Test century, and Collingwood (82) shared a stand of 219 that saw England to a first innings total of 354 despite the accurate Asif”s five wickets for 77 runs.
Pakistan were dismissed for 182 in reply and only managed to save the follow-on thanks to tailender Gul”s Test-best 65 not out.
England, 172 runs ahead, strengthened their grip with a second innings total of 262 for nine declared built upon Matt Prior”s unbeaten 102, after the wicketkeeper had come in with the side struggling at 72 for five.
That enabled England to set Pakistan a target in excess of the world record fourth innings victory total of 418 for seven scored by the West Indies against Australia in Antigua in 2003.
Victory, achieved with more than a day to spare, put England 1-0 up in the four-match series and left Pakistan with little time to turn things around before the second Test starts at Edgbaston on Friday.
