HUB: A married woman was murdered by his in-law on charges of karo-kari in Hub on Wednesday, police say.
According to reports, Shah Bibi, a resident of Periks Road, was shot dead by her in-law after being dubbed as kari.
Police arrested the accused along with his firearm.
Hub DSP Rafiq Lasi said the deceased’s father told them on phone that her daughter was being buried after murder.
On this, a heavy contingent of police raided the area and took custody of the woman’s body.
She was later shifted to a state-run hospital for post mortem. Doctors told the police that the deceased had received six shots. TrendPK
Disabled boy shot dead in Lahore
LAHORE: An angry neighbor has shot dead a 24-year-old disabled boy after brief argument with him in an area situated in the jurisdiction of Islampura Police Station in Lahore, TrendPK reported on Monday.
According to details, the deceased boy, Salman, was disabled from both legs and some time ago he was moved in a rental house in that area.
Salman used to stop others from sitting outside his door, saying that his house owner and his family do not like strangers sitting at his door as they used to feel uncomfortable.
Yesterday’s night, Mursalin and his friends tried to sit at the door of Salman. When he (Salman) asked them to move from there, an argument started between them and after a brief argument Mursalin turned very angry: he shot Salman dead and escaped from the scene.
The Islampura Police Station has moved Salman’s dead body to hospital and registered a murder case against Mursalin. TrendPK
Wife killed upon preventing hubby from making son ‘suicide bomber’
KARACHI: A man has killed his wife as she prevented him from making their eight-year son a ‘suicide bomber’, TrendPK reported Saturday.
Meanwhile, the accused managed to flee the home following the murder.
The murder took place in a house located in Saeedabad area here in metropolis.
According to police version, Baitullah Mehsud, the alleged killer of wife, was hailing from Waziristan and is currently based in Karachi.
Police said the man was in process of making elder son a ‘suicide bomber’ but his wife came to know his plan. Upon knowing this, she got upset, parted ways with her husband and started living with her father’s house.
On the day of assassination, Baitullah brought round his wife and after getting her back his home, the accused killed her and managed to flee the crime scene, police informed.
Police described the suspect as being the aide of a defunct outfit and he would often visit his home.
Meanwhile, the deceased woman was identified as Aasia Bibi who belonged to Gujranwala.
She is the mother to another two children who are staying with Aasia’s parents and are frightened over what they witnessed.
Aasia’s parents have left for native village for funeral rituals of their deceased daughter, police said further. TrendPK
New born baby dies of lady doctor’s absence in Sukkur
SUKKUR: Owing to the absence of lady doctor, a new born baby died in a welfare hospital of Sukkur on Thursday.
Muhammad Ramzan, a resident of old Sukkur area, has alleged that he admitted his wife in Sukkur Blood Bank Hospital for the delivery of child but due to absence of lady doctor his new born baby expired while his wife is also in a critical condition.
Somehow Ramzan managed to register his complaint against the management of Sukkur Blood Bank Hospital in Section-C Police Station but yet the police have not taken any action against the offenders.
The heirs of the deceased baby staged stern protest outside the hospital and demanded an immediate action against mangement of the hospital. TrendPK
Lahore’s body builder dies in Badin
BADIN: Lahore’s body builder died here before the first day of the body building competition started.
Lahore’s body builder Muhammad Shafiq, 35, died of a heart attack before the first day of the 59th All Pakistan Shahaeed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Body Building competition started. Other 20 members of the deceased’s team excused the administration of the competition for their participation.
Sindh’s Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza is the chief guest on the first day.
The Master of Pakistan will be selected in three day competition. TrendPK
2 dead, 3 burnt in fire at oil factory in Karachi

KARACHI: At least two laborers have died and three others burnt in a fire break out in an oil factory in Karachi on Wednesday morning.
According to details, a fire suddenly broke out with a with a loud bang in the furnace boiler of Max Calter Oil Factory in Steel Town; at least five laborers sustained severe burn injuries in the fire; later on two of them succumbed.
The names of the deceased laborers are Idrees and Qurban; among the burnt are Qamar Zaman, Allah Dino and Zar Khan.
Rescue teams and more than half dozen fire engines reached the factory and started efforts to control the fire after shifting the injured and dead bodies to the hospital. Trend Pk
Four arrested on charge of gruesome murder

KARACHI: In a joint operation on Tuesday, Police and Citizens Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) apprehended four persons in connection with a gruesome murder in Hijrat Colony, Karachi.
Speaking to Trend Pk, CPLC chief Ahmed Chinoy said that the deceased, Haji Juma Khan, came to Karachi from Naushehro Feroze on October 21 to buy a car and stayed with his relatives in Hijrat Colony.
However, greed overpowered Khan’s relatives, who first strangled him to death and then cut his body into several pieces before throwing it in Korangi stream.
Khan’s family approached police and CPLC, who arrested the prime suspects, Waqas, Saifullah, Amjad Ali and Aneesa. On their identification, police pulled the body out of Korangi stream.

FIR registered against six suspects in Multan killings case

MULTAN: Multan Police registered an FIR against six persons for their alleged involvement in the brutal murder of four family members.
Three members of a family were found shot dead and two others injured on Friday inside their house in Mehmoodabad.
The dead include 23-year-old Atif Iqbal Gill, 21-year-old Tehreem Iqbal Gill and 25-year-old Gulshan.
The injured include Imran Iqbal Gill, 5 and 18-year-old Arsalan Iqbal Gill, who succumbed to his wounds.
The injured bore strangulation marks on their necks.
Police said the murders seemed to be the result of a family dispute.
Meanwhile, family and relatives of the victims today left Multan for their native town in Toba Tek Singh.
