There is good news for all Madhuri Dixit fans. After living in Denver, USA for all these years after marriage, Bollywood’s dhak-dhak girl has now decided to relocate to India.

Madhuri quit Bollywood when she was at the top of her game, a shockingly unconventional move in an industry where stars hang around much after their time is up.

She moved to Denver in US, after she married Dr. Shriram Nene, a cardiovascular surgeon in 1999. She lived a simple life of anonymity there with her husband and two sons Arin and Ryan; though she kept visiting India to fulfill her work commitments.

Madhuri’s last film was YRF’s Aaja Nachle in 2007. She also appeared as one of the judges in reality dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ this year and is currently also associated with leading Chef Sanjeev Kapoor for the Food Food channel.

Madhuri does not plan to buy a new house and intends to stay in her Juhu apartment with her family when she shifts here. She is now working on turning it into a kid-friendly pad. She has also begun looking for a school for her kids Arin (Class 3) and Ryan (Class 1).

She posted on her twitter page, “For all my fans, we r relocating to India! It will b good to b back home.”

13d0fadb32att 01 university of coloradoThe University of Colorado has officially received and accepted an invite to the Pacific Ten Conference.

This news wasn’t unexpected, as Colorado has looked like a lock for the Pacific Ten since both theirs and Utah’s names were mentioned earlier this year. The move also signals the collapse of the Big 12 – which could be made even more official by the end of the week when Nebraska, following speculation, decides to join the Big Ten.

What will be left is a fractured conference thaThe Pac-10 announced this afternoon that the University of Colorado has accepted an invitation to join the conference.

The Buffaloes leave the Big 12 to come out West.

This might spell the beginning of the end to the Big 12, as it’s expected that Nebraska is going to soon be joining the Big 10. t should, at least by mid-summer, lose its two best programs when Oklahoma and Texas join Colorado in the newly established Big Sixteen – the first true mega-conference of the BCS era.

It’s unclear what the Big Ten will do now, but expect them to push their numbers up to sixteen as well and the SEC will probably follow in the future, though they have more wiggle room due to how dominant many perceive their conference.

The Buffaloes, despite their recent issues on the field, will be a good addition to the conference. They will provide a boost to conference television revenues by giving the Pac-10 a good footing in the Denver market, and culturally fit the Pac-10 nicely. No matter what happens in the next few days, Colorado is a great addition.

johnson county texas dallas morning news hood county texas dallas news click2houston BREAKING: At least three people killed Monday afternoon when natural gas line exploded after it was struck by workers, according to the Dallas Morning News.Cleburne City Manager Chester Nolen said at least three people were killed and at least 10 more were missing. Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Jack Snow told the Associated Press that about six people were transported to hospitals. He said officials believe the gas line was struck with a digging machine.

Massive flames and a huge plume of smoke could be seen in the area Monday afternoon. Nolen said a company was working to turn off the gas to the ruptured line, but he was unsure how long it would take.4cbfdc6a4ce bev2 cleburne tx
The gas company just recently got the line shut down and firefighters are on the scene. The surrounding area was scorched by the fiery enferno that ensued for 2 hours after the inital blast. The line that was hit was a pipe that was connected to a natural gas collection facility.

What a terrible tragedy. This was the second major explosion that happened today. The other happened in Moundsville, WV. A crew there was drilling a natural gas well through an abandoned coal mine when they hit a pocket of methane gas that ignited. That explosion injured 7 workers. You can read up on that story and watch video here at the KDKA (out of Pittsburgh) website.
The pipeline helps carry gas from West Texas across the state to utilities, distribution companies and commercial users on the eastern end of the state. Rainey said the company would work with customers to avoid any disruption to their service from the fire.

The injured workers were digging for a subcontractor hired by Waco-based Brazos Electric Cooperative, Snow said. A message seeking comment from that company was not immediately returned. A spokesman for the subcontractor, Oklahoma-based C&H Power Line Construction Services, did not immediately respond to a call for comment either.

The NBA playoffs continue, with a bit of a lull in some of the beginning rounds.

There have been surprises, and something unexpected happened. The Phoenix Suns beat the San Antonio Spurs in tremendous fashion.

The Lakers have been the Lakers, squeezing by their opponents in this year’s playoffs. However, they have not faced a team like the Suns yet.

The Suns have finally gotten their act together after an absence from the playoffs, and controversial rumors such as trading Amer’e Stoudemire have settled down due to their success.

In the Suns-Lakers series, there are several key match-ups to keep your eyes on that will determine who comes out the victor in one of the more intriguing series in this year’s NBA playoffs.afe83451b40114 f suns lakers

The Lakers won 57 games, yet their 25 losses stuck out much more prominently. They flopped in their Christmas Day showdown with Cleveland, lost an NBA finals rematch at Orlando, and dropped games against several of the West’s top teams, including Dallas and Denver, before closing the season with a dismal 4-7 stretch.

“In playoff basketball, we have another gear,” center Andrew Bynum said. “I think we’re playing like that right now as a team. Collectively, we just picked it up. When we get to the playoffs, we’re focused.”

When eighth-seeded Oklahoma City won twice at home to even the clubs’ first-round series, the Lakers appeared to be injured, tired and scrambling. Instead, they’ve been smooth operators for two perfect weeks, culminating in two victories in Salt Lake City.

The Lakers silenced the Jazz’s notoriously ornery fans by committing just 14 turnovers in those two games combined, making a late rally to win Game 3 before romping through Monday’s clincher. Even when Utah trimmed a 22-point first-half deficit to five points, Los Angeles simply kept executing on offense and working hard on defense, gradually running the Jazz out of their own building.

fbcd54f0afviewer big sur marathon FELTON — How would you feel if you were outraced by a 73-year-old lady while jogging at your best? This is an oddity Big Sur marathoners may want to prepare themselves for, as Khartoon Brown enters the coastal race for the 25th year in a row today.

“To me, age doesn’t matter,” Brown said. “I just don’t buy that.”

Brown has not missed a single iteration of the 26-mile-race since its creation in 1986, making her the only woman to have run every Big Sur marathon, she said. This year, a group of about 20 people will support and run with her to celebrate the record. Friends and family will be wearing purple T-shirts made for the occasion, proudly wearing Brown’s typical greeting on their chest: “Good morning sunshine.”

A 5-foot tall running phenomenon, Brown doesn’t know the loneliness sometimes related to aging. She is constantly surrounded by younger runner friends. On Saturdays, Brown meets her “children,” ranging from the mid-20s to the mid-50s, for a run at the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park in Aptos.

“We probably wouldn’t have been friends if it wasn’t for the running,” said Felton resident Filomena Milburn, stressing how sportsmanship brought women with such different personalities and lives together.

After running with Brown for 15 years, 56-year-old Milburn still admires her strength.

“Mentally, she can do anything,” Milburn said. “There are things that she does that I know I could never do.”

Beyond performance or energy, the little running family shines with unity.
“I usually call Khartoon Mom,’ except when she passes me,” said Robin Stevens.

A former beauty salon owner, Brown began running at age 45 for health reasons.

“I needed to exercise,” Brown said. “A lot of women take medications. I took running.”

The Mount Hermon resident really committed to running after taking part into her first marathon in Hawaii during the early 1980s. After her first New York Marathon, she was attracted to the Big Sur course in 1986 by its beauty, she said. Brown completed the California race each year within the six-hour time limit.

Brown doesn’t follow any particular diet or training. She said she just take short runs throughout the year and trains on longer distances during the two months before the big race.

Last November, Brown completed the New York Marathon one more time.

“I know what I need to do to get there,” Brown said.

e7bb3113d2ch 001 froch Carl Froch says that he will walk away from the money-spinning Super Six tournament unless he has home advantage for his next bout against Arthur Abraham.

Froch, 32, lost his WBC super-middleweight title via a unanimous points decision to Mikkel Kessler in Herning, Denmark, on Saturday night and insisted afterwards that the verdict would have been different if the bout had been in Britain.

Froch’s next bout in the Super Six will be against Abraham, the former IBF middleweight champion from Germany, who also needs a victory to be sure of progressing to the semi-finals.

Mick Hennessy, Froch’s promoter, said that he had a verbal agreement for the bout to be in Nottingham, his client’s home town, on August 21. However, Wilfried Sauerland, the promoter of Abraham and Kessler, said that the bout should be where it would make the most money, which would potentially be Berlin.“I won’t be there if it’s in Germany, it’s as simple as that,” Froch said. “I’ll pull out of the tournament if they try and move it to Germany. I want to get that absolutely straight, there’s no way I’m going there.

“It has all been agreed. I was told I’d fight at home then away then at home again. If Arthur Abraham doesn’t come to England, then as far as I’m concerned the fight is off.”

While Froch complained about the judges’ decision on Saturday, he did not have a great case. Kessler boxed as if his career depended on it, continually forcing the action in a thrilling bout, even when he seemed hurt.

And while Froch had good reason to be angry at the 117-111 scoring of Roger Tilleman, the Belgian judge, the scores of 115-113 by Guido Cavalleri, of Italy, and 116-112 by Daniel Van de Wiele, also of Belgium, seemed reasonable.

Many rounds were close, but Kessler, 31, roared on by a 10,000 crowd at the MCH Messecenter, was nearly always the aggressor. Froch might do better to wonder why he did not capitalise on an excellent fifth round, when he had Kessler hurt.

Instead, the Dane snatched the initiative, rocking Froch when the Briton walked into a straight right in the eighth, which also cut him on the bridge of his nose.

At times, Froch’s defence was non- existent, while he never stopped Kessler from using his jab effectively and was slowed by the Dane’s body shots. It also emerged that Froch had suffered from a partially perforated eardrum, which affected his balance

Singletary expects first-round picks to start

SANTA CLARA — Mike Singletary’s offensive line received a major makeover in a matter of 30 minutes.
The San Francisco 49ers made sure they got their men, all right: first, Rutgers offensive tackle Anthony Davis at No. 11 in Thursday’s NFL draft, then fellow offensive lineman Mike Iupati out of Idaho six picks later.
Both will compete to be starters as rookies come training camp this summer, Davis at right tackle and Iupati at left guard.
“Do I expect them to start? Yes I do,” Singletary said. “We’re hoping that soon they can work their way in there. That’s why we brought them in here.”matchup 49ers cardinals 49ers
The Niners pulled off a trade with the Denver Broncos to move up two spots and secure Davis, one of the top lineman prospects.
Davis had a good feeling about the 49ers from the moment he visited team headquarters earlier this month. He had dinner with Singletary, who went 8-8 last season in his first full year in charge and ended a franchise-worst stretch of six straight losing seasons.
“(It felt) a lot different. That’s why I was so big on the 49ers going through the process,” Davis said on a conference call.
“But of course I had to keep it to myself. Great people, the whole staff, the team, a tight-knit group. I like what Singletary’s building over there. I can’t wait to be a part of it, win some games.”
Davis was joined by some 20 family members, along with former coaches and teammates in a private room at a New Jersey restaurant.
Singletary called him with the news just before the pick was made.
“Best feeling in my life, man, best feeling ever,” Davis said.
San Francisco also traded its fourth-round pick, No. 113 overall, to the Broncos to move up and snare the 20-year-old Davis — an aggressive move by new personnel chief Trent Baalke. He took the reins for the draft after the abrupt departure of general manager Scot McCloughan last month.

1de1a95a91w vent tim tebow broncosTim Tebow headed to Broncos after big surprise in NFL draft JACKSONVILLE — It looks like Tim Tebow’s first game as a pro football player will, indeed, be in his hometown of Jacksonville.
One problem.

He’ll be on the visiting sideline.

The Denver Broncos, who chose the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner with the 25th selection overall of the NFL draft on Thursday night, will visit the Jaguars on Sept. 12 on the opening week of the NFL’s regular season.

DRAFT TRACKER: Every pick, every team
ROUND 1 ANALYSIS: How picks fit for their new teams
And the Broncos paid a strong price to get Tebow, giving up a second, third and fourth round draft pick to move up.

“That will be exciting to be honest,” Tebow said of his pro career starting in the area he became a high school legend. “I’m just going to compete, go in there and get some playing time and just get better. Be part of a franchise and a great organization. That’s what I’m excited about.”

Tebow said he wasn’t surprised Jacksonville passed on him.

“I had only met with them one time and it was an interview at the combine,” Tebow said. 4e6b874aa3tebowx tim tebow broncos“I hadn’t done a workout for them or had a visit. We hadn’t actually really talked to anybody from the Jaguars from the combine so I didn’t really think that they were that interested.”

Tebow chuckled when asked about his number coming available and said, “If they want me to wear 15, I’ll wear 15.”

That was Tebow’s uniform at UF and just came open when Denver star receiver Brandon Marshall departed for the Miami Dolphins.

A little after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the hearts of Jaguars football fans collectively skipped a beat when the Buffalo Bills selected C.J. Spiller with the ninth pick of the NFL Draft. But Jacksonville, picking 10th, took Cal defensive tackle Tyson Alualu. Tebow would have been a reach. Alualu may have been just as far of a stretch, however, with the No. 10 selection.

But the Broncos new quarterback seemed thrilled where he landed. Denver has Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn already on the roster.

Tebow said he talked with Gators coach Urban Meyer almost right away and he called his mentor, “Excited.”

Tebow said Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, who called him with the news, was a great fit.

“I’m excited just to pick his brain and go out there and just start grinding,” Tebow said.

The former Florida quarterback said being selected in the first round wasn’t important, but having a team with faith in him was.
