The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that the recent wave of inflation has resulted from the incompetent policies of the government, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
A report published by the SBP has revealed that the international sugar price decreased from Rs. 50 per kg to Rs. 27 per kg in the first quarter of the current year but contrary to it the commodity price increased to 80 rupees per kg in the country. Similarly the wheat price in 2009 in the international market was 3 rupees less per kg than the local price of the commodity however the difference reached 12 rupees by the end of 2009.
According to the bank the surge in the prices of pulses, grains, onions, fresh fruit, meat and rice is unreasonable and lacks rationale when their supply is far greater than their demand.

ISLAMABAD: The increase in power tariffs is not final as the difference between power generation and tariffs is still exists, said World Bank.

World Bank’s head in Pakistan John Wall in an exclusive chat in Geo News program ‘Aik say Du’ said the recent hike in tariff is not the final one because the difference between power tariffs and production cost is still in hundreds of billions rupees.

He said now its upto government of Pakistan whether it will end the difference through increase in power tariff or budget.

Replying to a question about privatization of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), John Wall said it was not a wise decision particularly in a scenario where 72 companies including Faisalabad and Islamabad Electric Supply still not privatized.

Both of these teams want to reach the quarterfinals of the World Cup, which neither has done thus far. In addition the Japanese are Asia’s last chance.

This game will more than likely require its methods of play in this game as Paraguay submits a very different type of play with mental toughness and technical awareness whereas Japans first three opponent were on the attack.

For Paraguay they have had the misfortune of losing all three times they previously played in Round 16 matches in World Cup play

The Second match up for today of Round 16-Game 56-Phase 2, for Tuesday will be Spain playing Portugal from Green Point Stadium in Cape town at 2:30 PM EDT.

This is a game fans have been eagerly awaiting. Both teams have a lot of offensive flair and very gifted players.

The fans are hoping for lots of excitement and many goals. In the last match-up of Euro 2004 Portugal beat Spain 1-0 which was the only win over Spain n seven meetings since 1981. Prakash Jha’s special gift for Vasundhara Raje and 70 MLAs

33edd63eceakash1 Prakash Jhas special gift for Vasundhara Raje and 70 MLAsFor those 70 MLAs and Vasundhara Raje who have got themselves into serious trouble for watching a pirated DVD of Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti in a luxury hotel in Rajasthan on Tuesday, Jha has a special gift coming up.

He will gift a legitimate DVD of the film to each of the MLAs when the DVD is officially released in two weeks’ time.

“I hope they would finally see the difference between the grainy bootleg version of the film that they allegedly saw in Jaipur and a legally manufactured DVD of Raajneeti,” says Jha a tad caustically.

However, the sizzling love-making scene between Arjun Rampal and Shruti Seth would be deleted from the DVD, since Prakash doesn’t want our politicians to get “unnecessarily worked-up when there’s so much to be done in building the nation.”

On Tuesday, June 15, over 70 MLAs of the BJP allegedly watched the film on a spurious DVD projected on to a large screen.

Says the director, “Apparently, these MLAs couldn’t tell the difference between a pirated DVD and legitimate DVD. It’s a pity a politician of Vasundhara Raje’s stature couldn’t tell the difference between being on the right or wrong side of the law.”

Jha says he would’ve happily arranged a special legitimate screening of Raajneeti for the MLAs.

Apparently, an FIR has been filed against the MLAs. But Prakash doesn’t believe the law can be effective in a case of viewing a pirated DVD. “At the most, the police will visit the hotel where the MLAs allegedly viewed the DVD. There will be no evidence of their wrongdoing. The matter will end there.”

But the director known for his socio-political exposes won’t allow the matter to due down. Prakash Jha has more constructive plans for exposing the nexus between piracy and politics. In a political thriller that he plans, he intends to incorporate a sequence showing politicians enjoying the clandestine screening of a film. To add to the irony, the film that these politicians would be watching is Raajneeti.

Says our Jha, “It is very important for politicians to set the right example, especially the ones who are taken seriously like Mrs Vasundhara Raje. And we need to create an awareness of political responsibilities through cinema.”

af7bb147e2tsu 01 jujitsuJujutsu or Jiu-Jitsu, literally meaning the “art of softness”, or “way of yielding”, is a collective name for Japanese martial art styles including unarmed and armed techniques. Jujutsu evolved among the samurai of feudal Japan as a method for defeating an armed and armored opponent without weapons. Because striking against an armored opponent proved ineffective, practitioners learned that the most efficient methods for neutralizing an enemy took the form of pins, joint locks, and throws. These techniques were developed around the principle of using an attacker’s energy against him, rather than directly opposing it.

There are many variations of the art, which leads to a diversity of approaches. Jujutsu schools (ry?) may utilize all forms of grappling techniques to some degree (i.e. throwing, trapping, joint locks, holds, gouging, biting, disengagements, striking, and kicking). In addition to jujutsu, many schools teach the use of weapons.

n Toledo at Premier Martial Arts of Toledo, located at 5333 Monroe St., Brazilian Jujitsu is taught and mastered. Students of various ages, sizes, ethnicity and careers do exercises and practice escaping and attacking while on their backs.
Deon Thompson, a Brazilian Jujitsu instructor who has been practicing for approximately 10 years and has won various medals and tournaments, including a bronze in the Pan Am Games, gold in the Ohio Grapplers Challenge and the Super Fight title at the Michigan Open Brazilian Jujitsu Tournament in January 2010, teaches the Gracie style of fighting.
”In the past, people would see the guy on the ground and say, ‘He’s losing,’” stated Mr. Thompson.
He said that about 90 percent of fights end up on the ground, therefore Brazilian Jujitsu best prepares them for the situation.
Mr. Thompson emphasizes that the art is for everyone and is not for just the best physically fit or the strongest person. He says learning that particular style is about leverage and technique.
Dr. Linda Whittington-Clark, a student of Mr. Thompson, confirmed that Brazilian Jujitsu is for everyone and isn’t discriminatory towards age, being that she just turned 58.
”I see myself walking around with a lot more confidence,” Dr. Clark emphasized

* Don’t worry about winning or losing – just practicing and learning
* Do not attempt throws with raw strength. This is not only dangerous for everyone involved but is never the correct method of throwing in Jukido
* Be loose – move loosely in all directions and avoid being rigid. Self-defense requires that the student be loose enough to move and take advantage of the attackers weaknesses – being tight only occurs at the correct moments.
* Look for patterns in your partner’s offensive and develop a strategy with a variety of techniques utilizing the opponents patterns against him (mental kuzushi).
* Be patient and look for and create lapses in your opponents judgment
* If your opponent begins to attempt a throw but hesitates take advantage with your own throw or series of renzoku-waza. Take advantage of your partner’s unsuccessful technique or incorrect tsurkuri and kuzushi.
* Do not resort to only one type of technique (foot sweeps, sacrifice throws, etc.)
* Do not try techniques that have not been taught to you.
* If you are a senior student try to compete a level that is just a bit higher then the Jukido-ka your working with. For example, a shodan who is practicing randori with a green belt might practice at a brown belt level. This enables the junior student to push harder at a gradual pace and it enables the shodan to fine tune some of the techniques at that level as well as increase the teaching and learning involved. In this way both students are throwing and being thrown and everyone benefits.
* Have fun and try your best!
