MQM to host Sindh Convention in Bhit Shah
KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is all set to hold Sindh Convention in Bhit Shah near Hyderabad today (Saturday).

Hungu: Mortar attack kills 6, injures 8
A mortar attack killed at least six people, including women and children, in northwest Pakistan on Friday as Ashura processions were on their way to main imambargah.
According to police, mortars were fired from different areas into houses in Malakwal, Karmawal, Qazi Talaab and Spain Khwarway. Due to which six people were killed and 8 got injuries.
Mortars were fired from Orakzai and hit two houses in Hangu. Six people were killed and eight injured, Gul Jamal, a local police official, told.
The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Hungu. Security forces bombed hideouts of militants.

KARACHI: At least 10 people have been killed in different areas of Karachi in the latest row of violence on Monday.
According to police, dead bodies of two youths were found near Landi Kotal Chowrangi in North Nazimabad area. Both victims were shot dead by unknown armed culprits and they were identified as Qari Hammad and Shoaib. Their corpses were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Earlier today, Ahsan, 21 and Fawad Jan, 23 were shot dead near Fawara Chowk in Dhobi Ghat area. The Killing of the youths created unrest and anxiety in the area.
Dead bodies of Awais, 25 and Rizwan 24, were recovered by the police from a house in Bhittai Abad area. The police have told that according to the initial investigations it appears that both murders were caused by a personal enmity.

KARACHI: Six people have been killed in firing and other incidents in different areas of Karachi.
According to Sachal Police, dead bodies of 25 year old Awais and Rizwan (24) were found in a house in Bhittai Abad area of Karachi. The killers forcefully entered the house and opened fire on them. This incident was a result of personal enmity, police said.
Another unidentified 24 year old was shot dead near Bara Market in North Karachi. One more person was also killed in firing of unidentified people and one injured near Anda Mor in North Karachi.
The dead body of 25 year old Irfan was found hanging by the ceiling near Allah Wali area of New Karachi. 45 year old Tahir, son of Riyasat, was killed in firing. Police have sent the bodies to a hospital and started investigations. Trend Pk

LAHORE: The Punjab government has claimed that sugar will now be available across province at the rate of Rs. 72 per kilogram.
This claim came after Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered a crackdown on hoarders and profiteers.
Meanwhile, Punjab received its first consignment of 100, 000 tons of sugar from the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP).
The sugar will be dispatched to different areas of Punjab through private dealers.

KARACHI: The killing row continues in the city; at least 16 more have been shot dead and six others injured during the last 24 hours in different areas of the metropolis.
According to police, a youth’s body was found shot dead from the garbage in Malir Shamsi Society this morning. Two unidentified persons were shot dead in Kalakot and Baba Bhit areas.
Last night, three people were shot dead in Khada Market, Sohrab Goth and North Karachi. North Karachi’s victim was identified as Hassan Naqi.
Yesterday, six unidentified persons were shot dead in Pirabad, Qasba Mor, Landhi Sherpao Colony, Patel Para, Gulistan-e-Johar Block 17 and Bilal Colony, New Karachi.
Three more were shot dead in Lyari; they were all identified by the police.

ORAKZAI AGENCY: Security forces carried out gunship helicopters’ shelling in different areas of Orakzai Agency where at least 27 terrorists have been killed, Trend Pk reported Saturday.
