2 white Britons ‘killed fighting for Al Qaeda’ in US drone strike
Two British men who were fighting alongside Al Qaeda militants in Pakistan have been killed in a drone attack, it was learnt.
The two men are believed to have been white converts to Al Qaeda who changed their British names to Islamic ones after becoming radicalized.
They died five days ago when a Hellfire missile was fired from a remote controlled American drone in the town of Datta Khel.The reports are confirmed, the two men would be the first white British converts to have been killed in the area.The militants were aged 48 and 25 and had been using the pseudonyms Abu Bakr and Mansoor Ahmed. It is believed one of the men was originally called Steve. They were in a vehicle with two other fighters when they were hit by the missile. It is not known whether they were crossing the border into Afghanistan. Details of their deaths are slowly emerging following the missile strike on the Pakistan and Afghanistan borders.It was reported that the pair had entered the area last year and had travelled to north Waziristan in the lawless tribal belt bordering Afghanistan to join Al Qaeda.The Americans believe that there are around 2,000 militants in the area. These are the ones that are targeted by drone attacks because they are deemed the most dangerous.A Foreign Office spokesman said: We are aware of media reports of the death of two British nationals in Pakistan.Our High Commission in Pakistan is seeking further information on these reports. In September another British militant called Abdul Jabber, who was from Birmingham and of Asian descent, died in a drone attack in the same area.
Uproar in Senate over RGST

Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidry said that RGST was not less than drone attack and it would not be supported. MQM members continued to shout slogans against RGST. MQM boycotted the session for the third day in opposition of RGST approval. Finance Minister said that RGST was not a new tax, instead the system was reform.

S drone fired four missiles on a house located in Haider Khel, Mir Ali and the house was completely destroyed. According to local sources, it is reported that 5 miscreants got killed and 1 was injured in this drone attack; where as an increase in deaths is expected. Sources also told that 5 drones are still hovering over this area due to which people are frightened and rescue operation can not be initiated. Local miscreants have surrounded the destroyed house, sources added.
Seven killed in US Drone Attack in NWA
MIRANSHAH, News Trends: US drones fired two missiles at a house in Ditta Khel in North Waziristan Thursday, killing seven people, more causalities are feared, officials said.
This is the third attack in North Waziristan within 24 hours. There have been 16 drone attacks in North Waziristan in the month of October while in September there have been more than 20.

Awan rejects TI report on corruption

LAHORE: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan has rejected the corruption report submitted by Transparency International on Pakistan.
The report, released on Tuesday, said that Pakistan ranks 34th in the world’s most corrupt nations.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Awan said that Transparency International is a paper organization, which has no credibility in the matter.
Terming the report a drone attack on Pakistan’s economy, he said it is aimed at destabilizing the country.
He alleged that TI chairman Adil Gilani is a member of the Task Force established by Takht-e-Lahore (Throne of Lahore). SAMAA
US drone attack kills five militants in Pakistan: officials

MIRANSHAH: A US drone attack on a compound in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal belt on Wednesday killed at least five militants, local security officials said.
The target of the drone strike was a house in Inzarkas village in Dattakhel area, around 35 kilometres (20 miles) west of Miranshah, the main town of North Waziristan.
“The drone fired two missiles on a house, at least five militants have been killed,” an intelligence official in Miranshah told AFP.
A security official in Peshawar also confirmed the attack and the death toll.
The strike is the latest in a series of US operations in the region which are believed to be targeting Taliban and Al-Qaeda extremists plotting attacks on Europe.
Residents in Miranshah said drones were still hovering in the sky while militants have surrounded the area after the attack.

3 drone attacks in a row in North Waziristan in an hour have killed at least 7 extremists.Drones aimed at a house in Boya area of North Waziristan at 9pm on Friday night and fired two missiles on it which resulted in complete demolition of the house killing 4 extremists inside. At least 4 people were killed in a drone attack in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan.
According to sources, US drone fired a missile on a car near Khushali Zangal, 7 km away from Mir Ali, killing 4 people. The nationalities of those killed have not yet been known. Nearly 16 people have died in drone attacks in the last two days.
