North Waziristan: US drone attack kills 4 militants

According to sources, the drones fired two missiles on a house and killed four militants after which fear gripped the area.

The sources further said that the casualties in the attack are feared to be increased.

US Drones Overflying North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH, trendpk: US Predator unmanned drones flew over various parts of North Waziristan tribal region. The locals in the region bordering Afghanistan seen more than 10 flights of drone over the region.

Meanwhile, the local administration has declared indefinite curfew from Miranshah Stadium checkpost to Miranshah Bazaar, Bypass Road, Khar Kamar, tehsil Dattakhel and other areas. Dattakhel road has been closed for all traffic, reports said.

Two people died while three others injured in a drone attack at a house in North Waziristan today.
According to sources, the drone fired two missiles at a house in Tabbi Tol Khel. Resultantly, two persons killed and three others injured, while rise in toll is also feared. The militants besieged the area immediately after the attack.
Around four drones were also seen hovering over the sky triggering fear and in the area.

US Drones kill 10 in North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH, Pakistan News: At least 10 people were killed when several missiles fired from the US drones hit a suspected militant compound in North Waziristan tribal region near the Afghan border.

At least 13 missiles were fired from about five US spy aircrafts on a militant compound in Dattakhel village, according to sources.

At least 10 people were killed in the strikes, and the toll is expected to rise.

A number of US strikes in early January are reported to have targeted Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud, but he then dispelled rumours of his death in an audio recording, also vowing revenge for the drone programme.

TEL AVIV: Israel Drones to be Used by Germany in Afghan, Israel Aerospace Industries said Wednesday that the supply unmanned spy planes to Germany that will see action in Afghanistan next year.

The Heron drones will be deployed by the German air force in northern Afghanistan in early 2010 for reconnaissance missions, the company said in a statement.

It would reveal how many aircraft were sold or how, but said it was a multimillion-dollar agreement.

Germany, the Office of Defense Technology and Procurement confirmed that it had signed an agreement to acquire the aircraft.

Israeli drones have been previously provided to the coalition forces to gather intelligence on Islamic militants in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The heron is remote monitoring Israel’s largest, with a wingspan of 54 meters and a capacity to fly up to 30 hours at a time at a speed of 140 mph (225.3 km / h) and a height of 30,000 feet (9,144 meters).
