SEOUL: North Korea’s ruling party will hold its biggest meeting in decades on September 28 to pick a new leadership, state media reported on Tuesday, and likely anoint an heir to the dynasty as Kim Jong-il’s health deteriorates.
Kim, who is believed to have suffered a stroke in 2008, has reportedly accelerated succession plans, and analysts say his youngest son, Kim Jong-un, is likely to be given an official title at the Workers’ Party conference.
The North’s KCNA news agency said the conference would be held in Pyongyang “for electing its supreme leadership body,” but provided no further details of the agenda.
The meeting had been slated to start in early September. The report made no mention of the delay.
South Korea said it appeared the meeting was held up by “internal problems,” probably related to flooding. Media reports have also speculated
Return of The Living Dead

Return of the Living Dead is a film series that took place between 1985-2005. The series began as a dispute between John Russo and George A. Romero on how to deal with its aftermath of the 1968 film, Night of the Living Dead. The two reached an agreement in which the aftermath of Romero’s films called dead, and aftermath of Russo have the suffix of the undead. Therefore, each man could do whatever I wanted with the series, while still others have different jobs and be considered canon. Following this decision, Russo wrote a horror novel, Return of the Living Dead, he planned on adapting a screenplay. Although the film rights were sold initially in 1979 that were approved over several different studies and directors until finally obtained by Tobe Hooper, whom Russo wrote a script. Hooper left the project, however, and the script never materialized.
After Hooper’s departure in the project, Russo, along with his new partner, Dan O’Bannon, wrote a new script (with Russo in a novel adaptation of accompaniment), also titled The Return of the Living Dead. This project will alleviate confusion among fans of Romero’s work, including a scene in which a character recognizes the films of George Romero and explains that, although based on actual events, the events of the series of back are the “true history “. Besides this separation of the arguments, the films of the series are significantly more comedy back on the ground that Romero’s films, with slapstick humor.
While Russo and O’Bannon directly involved only in the first film in the series, the rest of the films, to varying degrees, stick to their outline and “rules” set out in the first film.
The fourth and fifth films in the series were filmed simultaneously near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Despite being intended for a theatrical release, edited versions of both films made their debut on the SciFi Channel on October 5, 2005 and were later released on DVD.
