Kajol defies doctor’s orders; watches We Are Family in theatre

By now it is an established fact that Kajol goes out of her way for friends. To no one’s surprise, she defied doctor’s orders on Friday and braved it to a suburban theatre to watch We Are Family because she had promised her friends producer Karan Johar and director Siddharth that she would.
Says the emotional director, “That’s Kajol for you. A true friend. She’s going to be a mother and she’s a month away from delivery. She wouldn’t have done this under normal circumstances.”
Doctors have advised Kajol to avoid all strenuous activity. And apparently, husband Ajay Devgn has been going out of his way to ensure Kajol moves out of the home as little possible.
But Kajol being Kajol, she went where her heart took her.
Says Siddharth, “I was on tenterhooks until Kajol saw the film. I knew she would be brutally honest in her opinion. When she said she loved the film and that we had got on screen what we had set out to make I was relieved.”
Kangna walks out of Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children

Just sometime back, in fact just in August, it was announced that Kangna Ranaut would be starring in Deepa Mehta’s adaptation of the novel Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie. However, time changes a lot and so has the star cast of this film.
The latest is that Kangna has dropped out of the said project. Kangna’s spokesperson said, “Yes Kangna has actually opted out of the film Midnight’s Children which is being made by Deepa Mehta. The reason for this change is Kangna is really busy and her dates are clashing with that of Deepa’s film.”
With Kangna out of the film, Deepa will probably have to go star hunting once again in Bollywood.

august rush

August Rush is an American drama directed by Kirsten Sheridan. It is often referred as an updated story of Oliver Twist. The film is about a 12-year-old orphan boy who believes he can hear music from his parents. He actually believes he can hear music from everything, for example from leaves.
When young cellist Lyla (Keri Russell) and rock musician Louis (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) meet at a party in the mid 1990s, it’s love at first sight, and they spend the night in each other’s arms. But Lyla’s father forces them apart, even though she later learns she’s pregnant. Later, an accident lands Lyla in the hospital, and though her father tells her that her baby died, the child survives and is given up for adoption. AUGUST RUSH jumps to the present and begins to follow Evan (Freddie Highmore), an 11 year old who has grown up in a boys’ home. As Evan embarks on a crusade to find his parents, he imagines he can communicate with them through his gift for music.
His journey to New York City brings him into contact with Wizard (Robin Williams), a man eager to capitalize on the child prodigy’s talent. Wizard gives Evan the name August Rush as he begins performing all over the city, but the boy’s ultimate goal is to find the parents he has never met. From FINDING NEVERLAND to CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, Highmore has displayed an almost prodigious talent himself. He’s a gifted young actor, and this emotional story is the perfect venue for his acting. AUGUST RUSH isn’t a film for the cynics, but even the hard-hearted in the audience will have difficulty not being touched by this sentimental film. As in Evan’s life, music plays a central role in AUGUST RUSH, and it’s tough not to let your heart soar along with the melodies. Though it could draw comparisons to OLIVER! and ANNIE, this is a unique and heartwarming film.
August Rush is a sweet little move with its heart in the right place, but it has two big strikes against it. First, it relies too much on coincidence. Less charitable reviewers would call it contrivance. Second, Robin Williams is in it.

Digital Spy ‘Survivor: Heroes vs Villains’: And the winner is… Entertainment Weekly One of the most gripping and topsy-turvy seasons in Survivor history came to a close this evening with three Tribal Councils and, after 39 days, a winner. My full recap will be up soon, but if you’ve already watched the Heroes vs … Who Will Win Survivor:
The 20th season stranded 20 veteran contestants, divided into tribes of good guys and baddies, in Samoa. Diaz-Twine (”Pearl Islands”), who never won a physical challenge, maneuvered into the final three after her catty alliance on the villains tribe had been previously dismantled by partners Shallow (”Cook Islands,” ”Micronesia”) and Hantz (”Samoa”).

“If she can win the game twice, there is a flaw in the game,” a disgruntled Hantz said.
The lone hero left standing, 35-year-old former rancher Colby Donaldson (”Australian Outback,” ”All-Stars”), was quickly dispatched to the jury by the four villains at the beginning of the finale when the proud Texan failed to win immunity. Donaldson didn’t go without a fight. After delivering a surrender speech, he haggled to be saved by Hantz.

“I’ve never quit anything in my life,” said Donaldson, “so when the time was right, I made one more attempt.”
Hantz won the final immunity challenge, which required the final four to navigate blindfolded through a maze. Hantz, Shallow and Diaz-Twine picked off 38-year-old original “Survivor” villainess Jerri Manthey (”The Australian Outback,” ”All-Stars”), securing themselves a spot in the final three. However, Hantz received no votes from the nine-person jury.
“I do what I can do,” said Hantz, “and I make it to the end every time.

Brothers & Sisters Season Finale 2010:Watch Season 4 Episode 24 On The Road Again Online S04E24 – Brothers & Sisters Season finale/Brothers & Sisters season 4, episode 24 called “On The Road Again” which was written by David Marshall Grant & Geoffrey Nauffts and was directed by by Ken Olin aired last night on ABC.It was a very emotional episode where everyone we mean everyone in the Walker family was involved in a wreck leaving one dead.We also learned that someone is HIV positive.
As the show seeks to re-boot next fall, reportedly with the help of a time jump, one has to wonder if Robert, Saul and/or Holly will be there for the Season Five premiere.

There are times when Brothers & Sisters is so melodramatic, it’s hard to take seriously. There are times, though, like Sunday, when that melodrama leaves one near tears.
As Rebecca and Justin ran toward the scene of the car crash, we knew what they’d find there – Robert, unresponsive. But it didn’t lessen the emotional devastation one bit.
Robert’s (Rob Lowe) health is in danger on the season finale of ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters,” at 10 p.m. on WCVB (Ch. 5). Considering that Lowe is leaving the series, this does not bode well.
Tomorrow May 17
Ever wonder how Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) became roommates? CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” flashes back to the day the two physicists met, at 9:30 p.m. on WBZ.
Do Blair (Leighton Meester) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) share an affair to remember? In the season finale of CW’s “Gossip Girl,” the pair decides to meet at the top of the Empire State Building, at 9 p.m. on WLVI [website] (Ch. 56). Also, Michelle Trachtenberg (“Mercy”) reprises her role as troublemaker Georgina Sparks.

I Like Looking At Kareena,Aamir
Aamir Khan doesn’t believe in latching on to camps. Neither does he believe in having a favourite director or heroine. What he does believe is that his movies inspire people in some way, like they inspire him. Bollywood’s quintessential maverick on not looking his age, ramp fright, camp disdain and more…
Aamir Khan is 44. The problem is, look at him and you can’t quite buy that. From transforming into a hunk for Ghajini to his current looking-twenty-something avatar, there are many reasons to be thoroughly envious of the guy. Well, he may look 22 but at least he has to feel 44, one tells oneself, and feels happy. But he just has to mercilessly dash those hopes as well.
“I think we all are stuck at one age mentally, and we go through life thinking from that perspective throughout, irrespective of how old or young we are. I am stuck at 18-20 or thereabouts, I think.”
Yeah, sure. “No, seriously, and it gets embarrassing at times. I often find myself describing someone as ‘Yeh toh uncle-type hai’, and later, when I’m introduced to that person, I realise that the ‘uncle’ is younger to me! The other day a friend introduced to me a lady and I had a brief conversation with her. When she walked away, he asked me, ‘Aamir, tu usko aunty, aunty kyun bol raha thaa bhaiya, woh teri age ki hai!’ And I didn’t mean to do that, it just came naturally!”
Out of fear that he could call me uncle next, we move on quickly. Okay, Aamir, tell us what’s the difference in the world of the young today, from the days when you were physically 18-20?
“Not much, really. The lingo may have changed, but not too much otherwise. The medium has changed, so the vocabulary changes, the grammar changes. But the thoughts, the concerns, the emotional touch points are not very different.”
What’s with all the talk of the ‘Kareena chemistry’? “Oh, she’s a great actress and if people think there’s good chemistry between us, I’m thrilled about it. It’s not the first time. Kajol and I had good on-screen chemistry in Fanaah. And Kareena is an amazingly beautiful woman.” You know she described you as a genius recently? “Oh! Did she? She’s a lovely actress, a very sensitive person, and above all, good to look at, din achcha kat jaata hai sets par!”
No director as first choice, no heroine as preferred co-star, after this many years? Well, well. Ever the lone warrior, Aamir? “Yes, perhaps, lone warrior,” Aamir laughs. “And don’t forget, no camps!” No, not forgotten, 44-going-on-22 Khansaab!

Wizard of Oz Hanging, Wizard of Oz Hanging Video, This is the scene that was rumored about in recent years. The rumor is that a midget hanged himself during the filming of The Wizard of Oz and not realized as the scene was filmed.
Search in the forest by a person dressed in black in strange movement, while about Dorothy, the raven and tin man scare away. It’s a little freaky. Disney, by the way denies any hanged during filming.
