Vivek Oberoi adopts family in Vrindavan
Vivek Oberoi is known to be very closely associated with charitable causes. The actor who runs Project DEVI (Development and Empowerment of Vrindavan Girls Initiative) recently adopted a family in Vrindavan after its bread winner died of cancer.
Vivek happened to interact with Shehzad Quereshi who was suffering from cancer during his visit to Vrindavan last year. Shehzad had requested Vivek to take care of his family comprising of his wife and four children in the event of his death.
When Shehzad passed away earlier this year, Vivek kept his promise and decided to take care of his whole family. Only recently during his Vrindavan visit, VO along with Sushmita Sen even met and interacted with Shehzad’s two daughters. The actor affectionately calls them his ‘little angels’.
Must say here is one actor who indeed knows how to fulfill a promise- a commitment.
Prime Minister arrives in Gilgit-Baltistan
Prime Minister of Pakistan arrives in Gilgit-Baltistan, ISLAMABAD Pakistan : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has arrived in Gilgit Baltistan on Tuesday on a two-day visit where he will announce the development package for the area people.
The prime minister will meet notables of the area and discuss with them importance of ‘Gilgit Baltistan Empowerment and Self Governance Order 2009′ announced by him.
He is also expected to make financial announcements for Gilgit Baltistan during his visit.

Qamar Zaman Kaira Take Oath As Governor Of Gilgit-Baltistan

ISLAMABAD: The Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira will take oath as the acting governor of Gilgit-Baltistan today, according to a formal notification for his nomination.
The Chief Judge of the Supreme Appellate Court would administer the oath of office to Kaira. On August 29, the federal cabinet had approved the Gilgit-Baltistan Empowerment and Self-Governance Order 2009, aimed at giving the area internal autonomy as well as changing its name to Gilgit-Baltistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari signed the order on September 7.
