Imagine a show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and featuring the star cast of ACTION REPLAYY. You’d expect Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to be a part of it, right? But Ash, who teams up with Akshay in ACTION REPLAYY, was absent for the KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI – ACTION REPLAYY episode. The star participants on K.B.C. included Akshay, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rannvijay, Vipul Shah with wife Shefali and Neha Dhupia. So why not Ash?
Rumours doing the rounds of the industry indicate that Ash didn’t want to be a part of the episode because the proceeds would be donated to a particular charitable trust. But Vipul Shah denies it, “It has been decided by the family Bachchans that neither Abhishek nor Ash would participate in K.B.C. Reason being people would assume that the presence of Bachchan Sr. as the host prompted them to win the booty. That’s why Ash didn’t participate for that particular episode.” Valid point!

Former Major League pitcher who won 21 games in 1999 dies at 37 Jose Lima lived over the top on and off the baseball field. The free-spirited pitcher could deliver a song as well as a fastball, leaving a trail of fun and laughter known as “Lima Time” wherever he went.
The All-Star right-hander who spent 13 years in the major leagues died Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was 37.
Lima, who pitched the Dodgers to their first playoff win in 16 years in 2004, died of an apparent heart attack in Los Angeles, according to the Aguilas Cibaenas, a winter ball team that Lima had played for in the Dominican Republic.
“Lima was an exceptional man. This is a great loss for Dominican baseball and the country,” team president Winston Llenas said.
Lima posted his best season with the Houston Astros in 1999 when he was selected to the All-Star game. He went 21-10 with a 3.58 ERA in 35 starts for the NL Central champions.
“It saddened me greatly to hear of Jose’s passing,” Astros owner Drayton McLane said. “He was truly a gifted person both on the field and off of it. He could dance, he could sing, but his best gift of all was that he was an extremely happy person. He just lit up our clubhouse with his personality, which was his greatest asset. Jose was not shortchanged in life in any way. He lived life to the fullest every day.”
Lima spent the majority of his career in Houston, compiling a 46-42 record from 1997-2001.
“He was an animated guy and a fierce competitor and he got people excited,” Detroit manager Jim Leyland said. “It’s just so sad when you lose one of your peers.”

The widower of Brittany Murphy was found dead at the home the couple once shared in the Hollywood Hills. The Los Angeles Police Department told “The Insider” he was pronounced dead late Sunday night.
A 911 call was placed to come to the aid of Monjack in the 9 o’clock hour of Sunday night. Resuscitation efforts failed and Monjack passed away from cardiac arrest. Sgt. Louie Lozano of the Los Angeles Police Department told “The Insider” that detectives are on the scene to conduct an investigation. Pending further investigation, police tell “The Insider” that detectives believe he died of natural causes.
Late wife Brittany Murphy died on December 20, 2009 from pneumonia, with other conditions contributing but not directly related to the immediate cause of death being iron deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.Monjack came under scrutiny back in February, after it was revealed that he was trying to raise funds for the Brittany Murphy Foundation without even applying for non-profit status with the IRS. He ended up closing the foundation, and returning all the donations.

Hey there, Boondockers! I just want to tell you that I almost died getting this episode recap done. Not that it will stop you from making fun of me, I am just saying.
Anyway, tonight’s episode is Uncle-Ruckus-centric, which means just one thing: huge, mind-boggling amounts of racism. And that’s good! Not the racist part, but the part where The Boondocks gets to deploy lots of satire, which is what it’s good at. Also, Aaron McGruder clearly has a blast writing these things, so he tends to pull out all the stops and present us — and by us, I mean white people, or in my case, half-white people, with material that he knows we’re going to laugh at really hard and then feel bad about.
In this episode, we learn that Uncle Ruckus has long idolized Jimmy Rebel, a popular racist country singer based on the infamous Johnny Reb, a.k.a. Pee Wee Trahan. Should you be unfamiliar with Trahan’s work, he’s really just about as bad as he’s portrayed in this episode, though thankfully, not nearly as popular. (At one point, the fake Jimmy Rebel presents Grandpa Freeman with a CD called Real Niggers Never Die, They Just Smell That Way, which, believe it or not, is the name of an actual Johnny Reb song.)
