Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan is well known lawyer of Pakistan and he is reputed well in Pakistan as well as abroad. He is handling the case of former Pakistani captain Salman Butt and it was reported that he is doing efforts to prove his client innocent.

Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that he has filed a reply to ICC against the charges put against his client. He said that Salman Butt is future of Pakistan and he stepping forward to save the future of Pakistan. According to him Salman is innocent.

Aitzaz said that he has filed 40 pages reply to ICC but due to its confidentiality he is not able to disclose its contents but he assured one thing that the case of his client is strong and he has believe that he will proved to be innocent.

Senior Lawyer said that he has analyzed the video evidences that were collected by the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit and he senses that there is nothing strong against his client. He denied opening any thing about the evidences.

He further added that he could not understand why ICC wants to keep the hearing secrete. He demanded the open trail of the case as the integrity of the players is online. Aitzaz Ahsan is the only hope for cricket fans who can change the fortune on Pakistani players.

Jhang: dacoity worth 500 tolas of Gold

Three dacoits looted 500 tolas of Gold from a jeweler shop in Jhang. The Sarafa Market was closed immediately after the incident in protest, Dunya News reported on Monday.
The incident occurred in the morning in the rushy Rail Bazaar, Jhang. According to Jeweler Muhammad Aslam, as soon as he opened the shop two armed people made a forced entry into the shop while one of their accomplices remained outside. The dacoits looted 500 tolas of Gold kept in the safe.
Police reached the shop soon after they were told about the incident and collected the evidences. Whereas the whole sarafa market was closed in protest against the incident.

Karachi Shrine Blast: Two suspects apprehended

Two suspects, involved in plotting the blasts at Abdullah Shah Ghazis shrine, have been apprehended in a joint operation conducted by secret agencies in Orangi Town, Karachi. While the man, Naseeb Ullah, who was being suspected to have blown himself in the suicide attack inside the Shrine, has arrived home alive.
Agencies have started probing the attacks on the basis of the evidences collected from the blast spot. While after getting some secret information, they conducted an operation in Orangi Town and Momin-abad and succeeded to arrest two suspects, who were then transferred to an unknown place.
Sources said that suspects, Asad Ullah and Kamran belong to a banned religious outfit.
The man, Naseeb Ullah, who was mistakenly being identified as suicide attacker by the investigative agencies and also the Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, has arrived home alive. Admitting the mistake, secret agencies have released his brother and father, who were first arrested to be questioned about their son.

NATO containers case: SC orders customs officials to submit report

On presenting of evidences by Director Dunya News Dr. Moeed Pirzada about evasion of customs duty by NATO containers, the Supreme Court has ordered customs officials to submit details of the matter within 24 hours. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Ch. said that it was a national service to get back theft money and deposit in the treasury.
Three-member bench of the Supreme Court led by the CJP heard the case of smuggling and tax evasion by 11,000 NATO containers. Dr. Moeed Pirzada who appeared in the court for assistance presented the evidences and told that customs intelligence didnt complete the investigation because customs officials refused to give details to the customs intelligence during the investigation.
The court was also presented such computer record which made it clear that all containers bound for Afghanistan never reached the country and Pakistan suffered huge losses due to customs duty theft. The court has asked the member customs Muneer Qureshi to submit written reply on customs intelligence report within 24 hours.

PM was addressing the media from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) office, he said “we would end sectarian violence.” He added “there is no second opinion to remove corruption from the society and from within the organizations,” the Prime Minister told. Gilani said he was at the FBR to ensure that the continuity of policies initiated by the outgoing Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin remain in place.
PM also hinted that the Advisor on Economic Affairs would be appointed soon, in consultation with former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin.

Mirza said Pakistan is at war against terrorism, vowing the government will continue this war until its logical end.

‘The investigations do take time, and I cannot say anything about the evidences for the moment on security reasons,’ he said.

It is premature to declare a foreign hand behind the yesterday’s twin bombings, he added.

The minister added that the culprits involved in Karachi carnage have had criminal record. Briefing the media after a high level meeting in Islamabad, the minister said the police and Rnagers personnel would jointly patrol Karachi to avert target killings, saying that all out efforts were being made to stop such killings.
He noted that high level committee has been formed which would investigate such acts, adding that public was also becoming victim in such cases. The minister said that strict action would be taken against the suspects of Karachi mayhem, and added that the probe report would be completed within two or three days in this regard. Rehman said that the terrorists were out to disrupt peace in the country.
