Revolutionary scientific items exhibited in British library
Scientific items have been showcased in an exhibition in a British library that would be used for future scientific inventions.
Growing Knowledge Exhibition has thrown light on such factors as affect scientific research. The exhibition also brings forth the evolution of research methodology as well as it has been ensured that the exhibition proves advantageous for future scholars and researchers.
A 360-degree auto stereoscopic screen has been shown in the exhibition which is inspired by the Hollywood Science fiction film Star War. A Tweet-Meter has also been showcased in the exhibition for nine big cities of the world with the help of which twitter-users could be detected.
Broadcast India Show 2010
The 20th edition of Broadcast India 2010 Exhibition is all set to take place on October 21 to 23 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Organized by Saicom Trade Fairs & Exhibitions, the 2 day conference will showcase the latest and the best technological innovations in the industry and also host a platform for all there is to do with broadcast, film, audio, radio, IPTV, Mobile TV and their related fields.
In the previous editions of the exhibition the show has welcomed 26,000 visitors from India and its neighboring countries as well as from across the subcontinent, middle east, South Africa and South Asia.
Siddharth Meer, director of Saicom Trade Fairs & Exhibitions said “This year with the stereoscopic trend all over the world, everyone is basically moving into the 3D space of filmmaking. Majority of the exhibits that will be present for the event are focused on 3D stereoscopic filmmaking. Panasonic will be showing off their 3D camera, 3D monitors as well as Transvideo will showcase their setup for 3D filmmaking.
Player’s from Panasonic, Apple, Sony, ARRI, Wasp3D, Panther and many more from the world over who cater to the film, broadcast and the multimedia industry participate in the conference as exhibitors. Over 500 companies from all over the world will exhibit their state-of-the-art equipment and technology at this year’s Broadcast India show.
“The conference on the second day of the event will have people talking on stereoscopic filmmaking and their workflows,” says Siddharth.

Karachi: Garments And Textile Technology Exhibition
An exhibition of garments and textile technology began in Karachi. More than 300 companies from 29 countries are taking part in the exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated by Provincial Minister for Trade and Commerce Rauf Sadiqui.
Addressing the participants, Rauf said that the government is primarily responsible for providing feasible environment to investors; however he added that the textile sector should also play their role. The textile and garment sector should adopt latest management rules in order to enhance performance. He hoped that the exhibition would play a central role in order to achieve the goal of enhanced performance.

Need Monthly progress report for Lahore Museum
Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan:- Punjab Minister for Culture and Youth Affairs Dr. Tanvir ul Islam has directed the officers of Lahore Museum to furnish monthly progress report of the work being conducted on the different projects. He further directed that arrangements in the Museum should be improved to facilitate and attract the tourists.
He said this while presiding over meeting of officers of Lahore Museum here today. Additional Director Mrs. Humaira Alam informed the Minister that digitalization of different galleries is in progress and up till now this work has been completed in the galleries of paintings, coins and Gandhara Art whereas the digitalization of Art and Crafts galleries would be started soon. She informed that reorganization of the galleries is also being planned.
The meeting was informed that exhibition of Pakistan’s Gandhara Art Artifacts would be started in Switzerland on 6th September and would continue for 3 months. Earlier this, exhibition was held in the cities of Bon and Berlin of Germany and this exhibition would go to France in the year of 2010. Minister Dr. Tanvir ul Islam said that the exhibition of Gandhara Artifacts would bring recognition for Pakistan as a Hub of Culture and ancient civilizations and depict a soft image in the world. Minister hoped that federal government would ensure safety and protection of these artifacts during the exhibition abroad. Mrs. Humaira further informed the minister that 225 Gandhara Artifacts has been sent for exhibition from Pakistan which include 50 items from Lahore Museum. She said that 50 thousand dollar would be paid for each exhibition to Pakistan and this amount would be spent on the betterment of the museums in Pakistan.
Dr. Tanvir ul Islam expressed his displeasure over the non publication of Lahore Museum Bulletin for the last 6 years. He directed to take necessary steps for the publication of news bulletin on regular basis for the awareness of masses regarding cultural and archeological heritage. He directed that while preservation and conservation of roofs of Lahore Museum, special precautionary measure should be adopted so that the master pieces of arts could be preserved in their original shape.
The Minister was also informed about the shortage of the staff in Lahore Museum and the problems related to the service structure of the employees. Dr. Tanvir ul Islam assured that he would take all necessary steps for the welfare of the staff and the vacant posts would also be filled.
