Priyanka Chopra’s Khatron Ke Khiladi – 3 opens to tremendous response

‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – 3′ hosted this time by Priyanka Chopra has opened to a tremendous response garnering opening TVR ratings of 5.5. This even beats the opening ratings of the last two seasons of the show which was hosted by Akshay Kumar. According to the TAM Week 37 data for the years 2009 and 2010, the launch episode this year saw a 26% jump in ratings over last year, the TVR last year was 4.4. The show also saw an increase in overall reach, from 18.4% last year to 19.2% this year.
Also, this is the highest TVR ratings for a launch episode of a reality show hosted by a Bollywood star since 2008 beating the likes of Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘National Bingo Night’ (TVR-5.5), Akshay Kumar’s ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – 2′ (TVR-4.4), SRK’s ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai’ (TVR-4.6) and ‘Bigg Boss- 3′ hosted by Amitabh Bachchan (TVR-4.6).

Priyanka Chopra is naturally over the moon with the stupendous response to her show. Says the actress, “Wednesday is the new Friday for me, as I get to know how the viewers have responded to my TV show just like the Box-Office opening of my films. I am thrilled with the viewer response to my television debut with ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – 3′ and am sure they will continue to enjoy the khatarnak stunts in the upcoming episodes.”
