New reports have emerged which claim that Amy Winehouse and her boyfriend Reg Traviss had secretly become engaged only weeks before her death.
According to a source who spoke to The Sun newspaper;
“Reg asked Amy and of course she said ‘Yes’. She loved him. She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly.
Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, had said at her funeral that during the weeks before her as yet unexplained death his daughter was “happier than she had been for years”.
Amy and Reg had been together for two years and according to reports they were planning to marry next year and were looking forward to starting a family together. Reg is clearly devastated, since her death he has been spending a great deal of time with Amy’s parents. Just a few days after Amy died reg said;
“She had been full of life. I’ve lost my darling who I loved very much.”
Association of Doctors to promote Khichdi – The Movie
The hilarious promo of Khichdi- The Movie is creating waves. Apparently, a group of doctors had approached the actor-producer JD Majethia to congratulate him for his efforts to make a light hearted family movie as humour always aids good heath. Now JD Majethia has organized for a special screening for the doctor’s association on September 26, Sunday in Mumbai.
Apparently, the doctors after watching the promos were of the opinion that the movie will help in reducing stress and in turn can promote good health. It can help in reliving stress through laughter. The comedy in the film is absolutely clean without double meaning or any vulgarity, making it ideal for family viewing. The association of doctors has now decided to promote Khichdi- The Movie to everyone as it will have many positive effects on health of the general public.
JD Majethia says, “Thanks to the doctors who willingly wish to promote our movie which can be enjoyed with the whole family together. We have arranged for a special screening for the doctor’s association this weekend.”
Khichdi – The Movie releases on Oct 1.
Premiere of Raavan in London on June 16
On the 16th of June 2010, all roads will be leading to London’s BFI, Southbank. Call it historic? Yes, because the entire Raavan cast is going to be present at the red carpet world premiere of the film. Doubling it up with the presence of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Mrs. Jaya Bachchan, the night will have more flashes than any other night has ever had in London for a Bollywood film.
A source close to the film tells me, “Mr. Bachchan is off to London last night and will be staying there for one week. He has some felicitation ceremonies to attend and some meetings and then he attends the Raavan premiere with wife Jaya and the cast of Raavan on the 16th. The scene is going to be like what we saw at the Paa premiere. Very rarely do we see the entire Bachchan family together at a premiere.”
So if there is a stampede on the premiere day, you know whom to blame!

VH1 new reality series “Basketball Wives” premiered Sunday night April 11 with Shaunie O’Neal, Royce Reed and other wives of NBA stars. In the series, the producer Shaunie O’Neal whose divorce is just finalized this month will tell you that how these wives spend their lives and how they tackle their responsibilities and daily-routine. Royce Reed is another basketball wife who is the wife of Dwight Howard and the mother of his son. Last night when the show premiered, she was also featured in the show where she got out of control at a dance contest. She was so involved in the show that she even did not think that she was on TV. But this wife did some amazing things too she went straight to her other friends Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams, and Gloria Govan and forced them to join her too in dancing. Evelyn has finished her relationship with Antoine Walker and now she wants to prove herself as a socialite and entrepreneur.
Other basketball wives include Jennifer Williams, Mesha O’Neal and Faith Rain and Suzie Ketcham. Shaunie O’Neal—the mother of 4 and producer of the show—says that all the basketball wives have common problems like keeping the family together and keeping yourself real. She says that being a wife of a famous person you become public and remain in eyes of public and that plays a big role in your life.
Jennifer Williams says that there are a lot of negative things about celebrity wives that they spend their time in shopping and other activities but the reality is counterpart. Simply, it would not be an easy task for you if you wish to be a wife of NBA star.

1. Take a family walk after the meal (if it’s snowing, get the whole family together to snowshoe in the yard)
2. Create a backyard treasure hunt for the kids where they have to find Thanksgiving-themed items like: mini pumpkins, leaves, turkey, pumpkin pie, pilgrims, etc. These items can be made from construction paper or can be purchased at party stores.
3. Start an annual family turkey trot. Players pair up by linking their elbows. Each team has their own turkey mascot (a football with construction taped turkey face on it, a stuffed animal turkey, a brown bag stuffed with newspaper and decorated like a turkey). The first team to make it to the finish line without dropping the turkey and unlinking their arms wins.
4. Set up a craft table in the back yard where kids can create their own turkey hats, hand turkeys, glue leaves and sticks on paper, turkey napkin holders etc.
5. Before recycling the food containers from your Thanksgiving meals, create an outdoor game bowling where guests roll a pumpkin into plastic soda bottles, tin cans or boxes that can be reused as bowling pins. Source
