Salman isn’t doing the item song in Joker anymore
Contrary to reports, Salman is not leaving his shooting in Dublin to return to Mumbai for Bigg Boss and to participate in an item song for Joker.

Salman Khan
The Yash Raj spokesperson confirms that there will be no break in the shooting in Dublin. “Salman is not taking a break from the shooting in Dublin. He will, however, be returning to shoot for Bigg Boss between two schedules of Ek Tha Tiger.”
It was planned by director Shirish Kunder as the big surprise for the Dabangg girl. An item song for Dabangg’s ‘Rajjo’ with ‘Chulbul Pandey‘ in Joker had been elaborately planned for Sonakshi. And everyone in the unit was under an oath of secrecy regarding Salman’s flash appearance.
Says a source, “Farah Khan had rehearsed Salman’s steps for the item song in Joker before he left for Dublin to shoot for Ek Tha Tiger. But Sonakshi had not been told about it. Ever since Dabangg, where Malaika did ‘Munni Badnaam‘ with Salman, Sonakshi had been craving to do an item number with him. So, Shirish and Farah went through a great deal of drama of concealment to make sure that Sonakshi did not know that Salman would join in the item song. Salman’s grand entry was planned like Amitabh Bachchan’s in the iconic song ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar.”
Alas, all these elaborate plans have come to nought. Salman would now be unable to be part of the item song. Because of Salman’s illness and the botched schedule, the superstar is unable to spare time for the number.
Says the source, “Now Farah had to change the choreography for the item song overnight. Sonakshi has also been told that her intended surprise has fallen flat.”
Katrina shoots tapori item number for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan
The last time Katrina Kaif shook her legs to an item number, it ended up becoming a national anthem of sorts. Yes…we are indeed talking about the chartbusting ‘Sheila Ki Jawani‘ track from Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan which had Kat looking her sexiest best.
Now the latest buzz is that in her forthcoming film-YRF’s Mere Brother Ki Dulhan – Katrina is all set to outshine her last effort by performing the baap of all item songs. The song is a full-on tapori number and will have Katrina dancing at a roadside dhaba.
Sohail Sen has composed the music while ace choreographer Bosco will be making Kat dance to his tunes. It will be interesting to see if this item numbers manages to surpass the mass hysteria created by Katrina’s last item song ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’.
Of biting nails & running stomach

Celebs across the globe love to tweet the pics of their near and dear ones, the places they visit, the celebrations they hold/attend… Farah Khan loves to tweet what’s on her mind, besides tweeting pics of her new film TEES MAAR KHAN. But a pic of her hands, tweeted by her, caught my attention instantly. Well, Farah wasn’t highlighting a new shade of nail polish, but was vocal that she had chewed her nails in anxiety and nervousness before the release of her new movie TEES MAAR KHAN. So much so that the nails had almost disappeared from her hands and what remained was more of flesh, less of nails.
Almost everyone – sorry, just about everyone – gets those pre-release jitters and is nervous as hell prior to the release of their film. The stakes are high, their reputation is at stake, the world is awaiting the outcome to their film… I’ve often heard people say that they lose appetite and feel insomniac as well.
Says Farah, “I wasn’t chewing my nails during MAIN HOON NA her directorial debut. Back then I was seeing Shirish Kunder and made sure that I was at my best laughs. But I was nervous during OM SHANTI OM and the period thereafter. It’s the same now.” Farah is not the only one. A top notch director, known for his laughathons, has a running stomach a few days prior to his film’s release, while another top ranking director, known for making sensitive films, goes into a shell and stays aloof as the release date draws closer. Like they say in the industry, Friday is the scariest day in the life of a film-maker/actor and it’s getting more and more stressful with each passing year.
Farah’s next with Salman?

Have Salman Khan and Farah Khan joined hands for a project? Is Farah directing Salman in a film that will be jointly produced by Farah and Salman’s production companies? That’s the latest gupshup in tinsel town. The news gains credence because Salman and Farah have been bonding like never before. Of course, they have always been thick friends, but their friendship has only cemented since the past few months.
“Yes, I’ve heard this one, but the truth is, I am still undecided about my next project. I want to go on a vacation once TEES MAAR KHAN releases. The script I am working on is partly ready, but the question of casting anyone doesn’t arise till the writing is complete,” Farah clarifies. It would be interesting to see the Queen of Masses directing the King of Masses, wot say?

Salman Khan in Farah Khanâs next, SRK ignored
MUMBAI: No other lady in B-town understands the pulse of the nation better than Farah Khan. The helmer of potboilers like âMain Hoon Naâ and âOm Shanti Omâ is fondling with the idea of casting Salman Khan in her next. After Salluâs cameo in Farahâs latest âTees Maar Khanâ, the chemistry between them is growing by the day.
Fresh reports confirm that Farah Khan wants to make a full fledged Salman Khan film anytime soon. The lady wants to cash in actorâs massive fan following in the nation and the idea of doing a film with Salman is riding high on her mind.
On being asked about her new found interest in Salman, Farah said, âWell, this has been in the pipe line for long but now I feel the time has come where I need to do something seriously about it. And imagine the outcome of two mad people getting together. I think I`m mad and Salman is madder. After I finish with TMK, I am considering working on our plans to doing a film together.â
Katrina Kaif was scared of Farah
Everyone in the industry who has worked with Farah Khan knows that the lady is a tough taskmaster. Naturally, the pressure was high on Katrina Kaif while shooting Sheila Ki Jawani for Tees Maar Khan. The actress was dead scared.
Kat is not that good a dancer (judging from her earlier dancing numbers), and she had never done a proper smoldering item song till now. So, before doing Sheila Ki Jawani she was frightened that Farah might scold or shout at her for not getting the steps right. In fact, the filmâs lead actor Akshay Kumar too has admitted that Farah is âbossyâ and many men are scared of her.
Though the choreographer-director was confident about Kat, the actress wasnât sure whether she will be able to pull off this sizzling number. The song, full on jhatka-matka, required Kat to move her body like Shakira and act like Madhuri Dixit.
As Kat is quoted as saying about dancing to Sheila Ki Jawani, âI was getting cold feet and my hands were shaking.â
Farah Khan quashes rumours
Film people and controversy go hand in hand. Since the time Farah Khan started TEES MAAR KHAN with Akshay Kumar, the media has constantly written about the
fallout between once thick pals Farah and Shah Rukh Khan. While the media has constantly speculated that that all’s not well between Farah and SRK, the
latest development seemed to take the ‘bitterness’ between them to a new level.
Reportedly, SRK has prevailed upon the Lullas of Eros to bring TOONPUR KA SUPERRHERO on 24 December, in the same week as Farah’s TEES MAAR KHAN.
“I don’t think there’s any truth to it,” Farah tells me, “SRK would never stoop to that level. I refuse to believe it.” But the fact remains that TEES MAAR
KHAN will not enjoy the solo status any longer, since TOONPUR KA SUPERRHERO will vie for eyeballs and footfalls in the same Christmas week. “I am very fond
of Ajay Devgn. But we are not competing with any film. In fact, with one more film in the fray, it pushes me to work harder. I would’ve loved if TEES MAAR
KHAN came without any opposition, lekin kya karen? I am used to having major opponents in the past OSO and SAAWARIYA were released on the same
day.”
