Melissa Huckaby pleads guilty to murder
A San Joaquin County judge accepted a plea of guilty of kidnapping and murdering Sandra Cantu Melissa Huckaby suspect. Under an agreement reached at San Joaquin County prosecutor, Huckaby will be sentenced June 12 and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for murder and kidnapping of eight years Sandra Cantu Tracy last year.
The former professor of Sunday school Melissa Huckaby pleaded guilty in the murder of eight years, Sandra Cantu. Cantu has disappeared while attending a friend’s house, and his body was found in a suitcase, thrown into a drainage pond.
Huckaby has been accused of murder, kidnapping, lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years, and rape by instrument.
Sandra was last seen March 27, 2009, in Mobile Home Park Garden Estates in Tracy, where the second year and Huckaby were neighbors. After a search of 10 days, the body of the girl was found in a black suitcase in a pond near the house.

Huckaby was charged with murder, kidnapping, lewd and lascivious acts on a child under 14, and rape by instrument.
Though prosecutors originally sought the death penalty, Huckaby now faces a sentence of 25 years to life, without the possibility of parole.
Huckaby entered her plea in San Joaquin County Superior Court to a charge of first-degree murder with a special circumstance of kidnapping, according to CBS 13. As part of the plea deal, all other charges she faced, including rape and lewd or lascivious conduct with a child were dropped.
The plea was unexpected to most, since Huckaby was in court for a routine pretrial hearing.
The original charges would have made Huckaby eligible for the death penalty had she been found guilty by a jury. She now faces a sentence of 25 years to life without the possibility of parole.
Sandra, 8, disappeared in March 2009 and was found shortly thereafter stuffed inside a suitcase in a drainage ditch. Huckaby was arrested several days later and charged with kidnapping, raping, and murdering Sandra. Authorities say Sandra was a playmate of Huckaby’s young daughter and each lived in the same mobile home park.

Man suspected of killing Long Beach woman wounded in confrontation with police in Woodland HillsA man who is suspected of kidnapping and shooting a woman in Long Beach this morning, leaving her body in a parking structure, was shot during a standoff in front of a San Fernando Valley Best Buy a few hours later.
In what police believe was a family dispute, Donovan Morris apparently took a woman from her home at 7:35 a.m. before killing her. Long Beach Police notified the LAPD as they believed Morris was headed towards his uncle’s home in Woodland Hills. A standoff between police and Morris occurred at a nearby Best Buy in Canoga Park. Witnesses said they saw Morris holding a gun to his head.
Officers searched the condo, where a child was found, but did not locate a suspect. The relationship between the suspect and the victim is unclear.
“Everybody at home was accounted for, no one else was hurt,” said Massacani.”
The suspect was initially spotted driving a rental car at about 11 a.m., said Sgt. Maureen Geller, of Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga division.

Ann Jillian (born Ann Jura Nauseda on January 29, 1950 in Cambridge, Massachusetts) is an American actress, who started acting at age 10. Her career reached its zenith in the 1980s, with her best-known role being that of waitress Cass

Jillian has been acting since 1960, while playing Little Bo Peep in Disney’s Babes In Toyland. She appeared as Dainty June in the Rosalind Russell, Natalie Wood 1962 movie version of Gypsy. There were several television appearances in 1960 and 1970 in particular, becoming a regular on the comedy and Hazel 1960 appears in the episode “The Twilight Zone” Mute “, as the mute telepathic Ilse Nielson in 1963. She also did voice acting for Scooby-Doo, Where You! and Sealab 2020, in the 1970s, but she said it was too high to serve as youth of today and too young to play a protagonist, there was more work for her in Hollywood.
Jillian married Andy Murcia, a sergeant of the Chicago police in 1977 and shortly afterwards withdrew from Murcia to manage his wife career.Earlier in his career that had been run by Joyce Selznick.
In the 1970s he toured in musical comedies, including Sammy Cahn’s words and music. She was arrested in that production to appear in the original company of Sugar Babies on Broadway with Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller in 1979.
