Paul Octopus dies after correct prophecies in FIFA world cup
Paul Octopus has died after correctly prophesying about the winning team during the recently held football world cup, 2010.
The octopus was found dead during the early hours of Tuesday in Oberhausen aquarium in Germany. Death of the Octopus would certainly have been a source of jubilation for the German spectators as the octopus prophesied about German defeat in the semi-final of the world cup. On the other hand scientists are not astonished on its death as average life of an octopus is about three years.
Octopus predicts German victory in quarterfinal
BERLIN: Paul the octopus who rose to global fame after correctly predicting all four of Germany’s games in this year’s Football World Cup tournament, indicated that Saturday’s game will be a tough battle and that it may even end in a penalty shootout.
The octopus took about an hour to approach a water glass containing a mussel marked with a German flag, said Tanja Munzig, a spokeswoman for Sea Life Aquarium in the western city of Oberhausen.
“Paul kept staring at the German glass and only when we wanted to take out both glasses, he finally jumped inside the German one and gulped down the mussel” Munzig said.
“All of his behavior indicates that Saturday’s game will be very tough and it may even go into extra time and penalty shootout but in the end Germany will win.”
Four matches in FIFA World Cup s in today
JOHANNESBURG: Last four matches in first leg Football World Cup 2010 will be played today.
First match will be played between North Korea and Ivory Cost, second between Portugal and Brazil. In the third fixture, Spain will Chile whereas in the last match of the day, Switzerland will take on Honduras.

Oh no, was the incident between the rise in the eyes of Brandon Spikes and Washaun Florida Georgia Ealey. The incident appears to have caused a stir among the college football world, especially after hearing the punishment he has received Spikes.

The incident appears to have caused a stir among the college football world, especially after hearing the punishment he has received Spikes. As seen in the video below, opening the eyes of Brandon appears to be intentional.
Ealey peaks apparently revenge for an earlier incident in which Georgia tried to draw the player Spikes helmet and allegedly had tried to do exactly the same to him and gouge his eyes.
If it was a case of getting back or not, does not justify the inexcusable behavior Spikes. And what comes as a shock, is the fact that punishment is having to sit Spikes half against Vanderbilt next week.
