Seven killed in NW drone attack
MIRANSHAH: Seven suspected militants were killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan agency, Geo News reported today.
Fighter jets pound Taliban hideouts; 10 killed
HANGU: At least 10 militants were killed and five were wounded on Tuesday after security forces targeted their (militants) hideouts in Orakzai Agency.
Security forces backed by helicopter gunships pounded suspected militant dens located in different parts of Upper and Lower Orakzai, leaving 10 militants killed.
So far more than 650 militant had been killed in the military operation launched one and half months ago in Orakzai Agency.
In addition, more than 70 militant hideouts and their 15 training facilities were also destroyed in the offensive.
Operation in Bajaur, Dozen killed
PESHAWAR, Pakistan News: At least 12 militants were killed and six others were arrested after security forces carried out operation in different parts of Bajaur Agency on Thursday.
Sources close to Frontier Corps said that forces targeted militants’ positions situated in several parts of Bajuar Agency, including Sewai, Damadola and Pusht.
As a result a total of 12 militants were killed and a cache of arms were recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, troops strengthened their positions and made advancement in the tribal region.
Operation in Bajaur, Dozen killed was first posted on February 4, 2010 at 6:17 pm.
10 More Militants killed in Operation Rah-e-Nijaat
Pakistan: 10 More Militants killed in Operation Rah-e-Nijaat, Security forces killed ten more militants in clashes during Operation Rah-e-Nijaat in South Waziristan.
Sources said that forces targeted militants’ hideouts in Makeen and Laddah entire night. Forces are also consolidating their hold in Jandollah, Sararogha, Shakai and Kani Garam. Large caches of weapons and explosives were seized by security forces during search operation. Suicide jackets, machine guns, hand grenades and rockets were seized by forces.
