Owais Ahmed Ghani Expressed Grief Over Flood Damages
PAKISTAN, PESHAWAR: NWFP Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani has expressed deep shock and grief over the loss of precious lives and materials because of torrential rains and floods in Peshawar Valley especially in Mardan and Swabi districts.
In a condolence message issued here on Monday, the governor said that natural calamities are beyond the reach of anyone. However, he added, the government departments and institutions are trying their best to minimize the losses and extend maximum possible help to the affected people.
Expressing his deep sympathies with the affected people, the governor has prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable losses with patience. He has also wished early recovery of the injured.

Minus Zardari Formula Made Up By Media: Minister
PAKISTAN, KALABAGH: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nawabzada Malik Ammad Khan said minus Zardari formula has been made up by media and there are no differences within People’s Party.
Talking to media in Kalabagh, he said only parliament can take action against the former president Pervez Musharraf.
“There is a complete understanding among government, army, and opposition,” the minister stressed, adding, “all major decisions are made after taking the opposition in confidence.”
Only parliament has power to take action against Musharraf which can give a go ahead for any action under Article 6, he added.
Ammad said government is in favour of abolishing the 17th amendment and President Asif Zardari will open-heartedly accept the cutback in his powers.
