98-year-old woman earns Judo’s highest-degree black belt
Just two years before her 100th birthday, Sensei Keiko Fukuda has become the first woman to achieve a tenth-degree black belt—the highest rank in the martial art and combat sport Judo. Fukuda is now one of only four living people who ve earned the tenth-degree (or dan) black belt. To put the accomplishment into better perspective, throughout history, only sixteen people have ever achieved this honor.
Fukuda began practicing Judo in 1935 and is the sole surviving student of its founder, Kano Jiguro. At her teacher s urging, she learned English to help spread Judo internationally.
During a time when getting married, building a family, and becoming a housewife was the norm, Fukudo bucked tradition, opting out of marriage to pursue the martial art.
“All I did was Judo…this was my marriage,”" Fukudo reflected tearfully to the San Francisco Chronicle. “”This is when my life destiny was set. I just never imagined how long this road would be.”"
She described the Jiguro’s school, known as the Kodokan, as “”old-fashioned and sexist about belts and ranks.”" In fact, an edict that prevented women from achieving any higher than a fifth-degree black belt kept Fukuda at that level for thirty years. She was finally elevated to sixth dan in 1972 when a woman s division was created.
Fukodo said she approached Judo and her life with the intent to “”be gentle, kind and beautiful, yet firm and strong, both mentally and physically.”" Fukuda says this kind of beauty is decidedly not external. “”A compassionate soul is inner beauty,”" she explained to the paper. “”I believe this is true beauty…All my life this has been my dream.”"

In an interview with celebrity personality Kendra G, R&B singer Mashonda Tifrere, the estranged wife of hip hop music producer Swizz Beatz, spoke about her relationship with her husband and the alleged rumors about him cheating on her with R&B singer Alicia Keys.
When asked if she believed that Alicia Keys could be the type of person to sleep with a woman’s husband, Mashonda stated she didn’t know and when asked if she had ever spoken with Keys, Mashonda responded that she tried to but was basically “ignored.”

This couple denied the dating rumors for some time, because Swizz was waiting for his divorce to be finalized. Now this happy couple can go out in public and have no worries.

LAHORE: Pakistani star cricketer Shoaib Malik and his spouse Sania Mirza held a brief chat with Shahid Khan Afridi here at National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Friday, Geo news reported.
The couple expressed their good wishes for Pakistani cricket team in forthcoming Twenty20 World Cup cricket tournament.
Later, talking to Geo news Pakistani T20 skipper Afridi confirmed his meeting with newly-wedded couple at NCA for a brief chatting.

HYDERABAD: The Sania-Shoaib wedding saga took an ugly turn on Friday as Ayesha’s father came out hard against the Pakistani cricketer, saying he had been cheated.
At a press conference, MA Siddiqui said the ‘nikahnama’ that had been produced before the media was genuine, having the stamp of the Qazi who conducted the wedding, the signature of the witnesses and of Shoaib himself.
Ayesha, who claims to have married Shoaib in 2002, went the whole hog today circulating copies of her nikahnama to Pakistani and Indian channels.
Siddiqi said he was against his daughter getting married in Pakistan due to strained relations between two neighborly countries.
The Malik family will regret this incident, he added, repeatedly saying that he had been cheated. Siddiqui threatened to sue Malik and also seek a fatwa against him from Ulemas.
“My daughter and Shoaib met in Dubai and entered into a correspondence. They ultimately married. But Shoaib kept torturing her over her weight,” he said.
Siddiqui said he did not want any money or any other benefit from the Maliks. “We just want a public divorce for my daughter or else we will take legal action against him,” he said.
“I wonder how he is marrying Sania now. We are not against Sania but we want things to end with Ayesha first.”
“My daughter wants a public divorce from Shoaib Malik, who is a liar,” he said.

Mary Lynn Rajskub’s has never been one to stick to convention, and the 24 star’s wedding to personal trainer Matthew Rolph over the weekend at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas was no exception.
The actress, wearing an ivory wedding gown with lace overlay by Nicole Miller, was walked down the aisle Saturday by the couple’s 1-year-old son Valentine to Elvis’s “A Little Less Conversation.” The groom wore a white Hugo Boss suit.
“We didn’t know that getting married at a casino in Vegas with Elvis could be so romantic.
After the ceremony, the couple and their 20 guests, among them It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia costars and real-life husband and wife Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney, continued the celebration into the wee hours at the restaurant Koi Las Vegas.
Rajskub, 38, and Rolph, 29, who met while she was performing a stand-up comedy gig, welcomed their son on July 24 last year.
“We are so excited to officially be husband and wife,” Rajskub adds.
The actress is currently shooting the eighth season of 24 and will next be seen in the feature film Julie and Julia opening Friday. Rolph is the co-owner of Pilates Plus Malibu
