Washington, DC, United States (AHN) – The law and order authorities in the NYC were again tested late Wednesday night with an abandoned moving truck with Arizona plates but New York authorities determined that the U-Haul truck did not pose a threat.
The bridge, formerly known as Triborough, was closed on both directions after the authorities were made aware of the incident shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.
With a strong odor coming out of the vehicle, bomb squad and hazards substance experts were called on the scene according to the Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne.
The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge in New York City has reopened to traffic after having been closed briefly last night. NYPD officers were called to the Manhattan side of the bridge to examine an abandoned truck several yards away from a toll booth. Police say it was empty and wasn’t a threat.
DETROIT (AP) — A judge has cleared the way for nine members of a Michigan militia to be released from jail while awaiting trial on a charge of conspiring to overthrow the government. Prosecutors are pursuing an appeal of the order to release the defendants with strict conditions, including electronic monitoring.
DUBLIN (AP) — British and Irish authorities are hopeful of re-establishing normal air traffic Thursday following two days of shutdowns caused by a new wave of dense volcanic ash from Iceland. The ash clouds snarled air traffic Wednesday in Ireland and Scotland, stranding tens of thousands of people.

From left to right, NYC The Blog captured photos from traffic cameras atop the Triborough bridge taken moments ago. The bridge is closed due to a suspicious vehicle. They show the Queens bound exit, Bronx bound exit and Manhattan bound exits closed. Police and emergency units can be seen in the distance. Click through for a larger photo.
The video cameras are not in service at this time, but still photos are being transmitted.
UPDATE: NYC Aviation has a photo up on Flickr. UPDATE: Live video. My Fox New York just reported the police gave the truck the all clear. The vehicle they report is completely empty and not a danger.

Harry Connick JR Wife:Harry Connick Jr. completed a two-day trip during the 2010 season of American Idol Wednesday night, sharing a story about his wife, Jill, and Frank Sinatra, the icon whose songs were sung by the five remaining competitors on Tuesday night .
Connick describes a story about a birthday party for Sinatra. Connick, then a fight 20-something for a 
repuation, sang Sinatra’s party, but failed and needed two tries to get the song ended. Sinatra followed later in an elevator with the hope to explain, and poured his heart before the doors opened.
All Sinatra did, as Connick, Jr.., Was Jill’s turn, the cradle face, calling her beauty, and kiss on the lips.
Connick humor was in fact much of this week’s show. He proved to be really fun to work with the contestants, revealing a biting sarcastic side few people get to see or hear in their performances.
In fact it was one of the mentors for this season better, in my opinion. He managed to joke with the contestants while offering valuable criticism and advice. Also arranged for each action and played piano on the stage of the five competitors.
He managed to be technically sound and loud at the same time, the mixture frivolity and important lessons for other singers. He also appeared in the results show on Wednesday, showing the next most recognizable person.

Ghost Hunters” the renowned paranormal investigation reality series spooked the Norwich State Hospital. Ghost Hunters, the unknown phenomenon inspectors featured the Norwich State Hospital in their last episode. The team behind the series received news regarding ghost sightings and unexplained paranormal activity at the hospital.
The neighboring people claimed to have witnessed bizarre scenes and heard loud and eerie noises. Some people also reported to have experienced strange incidents. After a lot of complaints, the word haunted felt engraved with the name of the hospital. 
So the ghost hunting team of the series took a trip to the scene to find any related evidence and to investigate whether the said reports were true or just rumors.
The paranormal investigators use many electronic gadgets like Electro Magnetic Frequency reader, night vision cameras, IR cameras and DV Cams. They use different scientific methods to spot any signs that could prove the existence of a possible ghostly activity.
Back in March 2010, the Ghost Hunters stayed four days at the Norwich State hospital. Though the team members did not find any actual ghosts but they experienced strange sightings of creepy figures and also heard regular barking of a dog. Their investigation of the hospital proved to be a success as it revealed that the place contained positive signs of a haunting.

AMSTERDAM — Several major airlines safely flew test flights without passengers over Europe on Sunday despite official warnings about the dangers of a volcanic ash plume, fueling a corporate push to end an economically devastating ban on commercial air traffic.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said that by midday Sunday it had flown four planes through what it described as a gap in the layer of microscopic dust over Holland and Germany. The ash began spewing from an Icelandic volcano Wednesday and has drifted across most of Europe, shutting down airports as far south and east as Bulgaria.Air France, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines have also sent up test flights, although most traveled below the altitudes where the ash has been heavily concentrated.
KLM said its planes of various types flew the 115-mile (185-km) flight from Duesseldorf in western Germany to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport at an unspecified normal altitude above 10,000 feet (3,000 meters). They did not encounter the thick though invisible cloud of ash, whose main band has floated from 20,000 to 32,000 feet, the height of most commercial flight paths.
The announcement prompted some airline officials to wonder whether authorities had overreacted to concerns that the tiny particles of volcanic ash could jam up the engines of passenger jets. The possibility that the ash had thinned or dispersed over parts of Europe heightened pressure from airline officials losing hundreds of millions of dollars a day to end a flight stoppage that has thrown global travel into chaos and left millions stranded far from home.

For those who thought that BMW would spoil the Rolls Royce brand and not offer great future models, the small, yet sporty Rolls Royce Ghost proves them all wrong. This is now the second Ghost model from the German automaker, and shows that they are moving with the times with this new model, producing more power while offering increased fuel consumption.
The Ghost comes with a 6.6-litre V12 engine, which produces 563bhp – that’s enough to propel the luxury car from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds. To give you a comparison, that is the same kind of time as a Porsche 911. The Ghost differs from the Porsche, as its acceleration is smooth but fast, despite its two-and-a-half-ton weight.
RoadTestReports notes that from the moment you get behind the wheel of the Rolls Royce Ghost you will notice how well engineered it all is, you would not know you are driving a vehicle that weighs as much as it does considering how agile it is. BMW have achieved this thanks to an air suspension system, which offers variable damping for greater stability on a range of road surfaces.
The price for the Rolls-Royce Ghost is £195,840, so not for everyone. As with most cars on the road, there are a number of optional extras available to you – taking the overall price to over £200,000.
Avie Woodbury sells both ghost spirits

Avie Woodbury from Christchurch, New Zealand finally sold her two souls at auction this week for a surprising sum. She explained that the ghosts were captured from her house, which was haunted, naturally.
After they were captured by a professional, the spirits were then stored in vials of holy water, which she claimed “dulls the spirits’ energy.”
Two souls held hostage inside blue-tinted holy water were auctioned off for almost $2,000 this week. Who are they? The seller’s old neighbors, but that didn’t stop her from making tidy little profit out of their imprisoned spirits.
The spirits are supposedly an old man who lived in her house in the 1920s and a “disruptive” little girl who showed up after a Ouija session.
Instead, two glass vials purportedly containing the ghosts of two dead people sold for $2,830 New Zealand dollars ($1,983) at an auction that ended Monday night.
The spirits are already with their new owner, but what does one do with two souls in tiny jars?
Mrs. Woodbury said they were the spirits of an old man who lived in her house during the 1920s and a powerful, disruptive little girl. She said she had to hire an exorcist to capture these spirits after she had experienced outlandish activities in her home. Mrs.Woodbury said:
I would get things like the jug boiling itself, touching on the back of my neck, voices from other rooms, and items going missing then turning up in weird places.I just want to get rid of them as they scare me. But someone might like these to play with.
She plans to donate the auction amount minus the exorcist’s fee of $100 to an animal charity.Meanwhile, the buyer of the spirits, an electronic cigarette company, asked the people to suggest ideas on what to do with the spirits. The company asked the people to vote on the following questions.
Would you release the spirits to live out the rest of their spirit lives to the full? Would you bury or burn them for safety? Do you think they’d make a refreshing beverage?

Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum: The first thing that strikes most visitors to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is its massive size. Constructed between 1858 and 1881, the main structure is 1,296 feet long, consists of 4 floors, 9 acres of floor space, 921 windows and 906 doors. The asylum is considered the largest hand-cut stone masonry building in North America and the second-largest in the world after the Kremlin.
Located in central West Virginia, the asylum appears to be nestled in the great green Appalachian Mountains, its imposing facade just across the West Fork River serving as the backdrop for the small town of Weston.
