Bulgarian song fails the cut for Eurovision final
Turkish music band “Manga” advanced to the final round of the 55th
Manga which is competing with their song titled “We Could Be The Same” is the only rock band in the contest.

Manga was formed in 2001, being named after the word for Japanese comic books, MaNga. Their music is a fusion of alternative rock and hip hop music, with a touch of Anatolian melodies; with electronic elements.

May 27 saw the semi-final for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, due to take place on May 28.
Sadly, Bulgaria did not qualify for the final despite a sterling effort from Miro.

The second Semi-Final of the glamorous 55th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Oslo on the eve. Seventeen countries were fighting for ten empty slots in the Final of Europe’s Favorite TV-Show.

Televoters in the 17 participating countries plus viewers in Norway and the UK had the chance to vote for their favourite songs. Their decision was weighed for 50%, while the other 50% was decided by specially formed juries, according to official Eurovision website.
Bulgaria’s biggest success at the contests continues to be the 2007 entry by the duo Elitsa and Stoyan who came fifth with their song “Voda”.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2010 is the 55th annual Eurovision Song Contest event, and it will take place at the Telenor Arena, in Baerum, Norway, a suburb of Oslo. Norway won the right to host the tournament after Alexander Rybak’s win at the 2009 contest with his song Fairytale.
