Ameesha Patel, who has been MIA (Missing In Action) for a while, is now all set to turn producer. Yes…the actress along with friend Kunal Goomer is launching her own production house called Ameesha Patel Productions at an event tonight.
Ameesha, who started with a bang, courtesy blockbusters like Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, has been going through a lean patch for a while. In the recent, past she has been more in the news for personal rather than professional reasons.
Hope the actress has a better innings as a producer!

First promo of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ is the talk of town
Bollywood is full of surprises. Samir Karnik is going through a rough patch. Ditto for Deols, especially Sunny and Bobby Deol, who haven’t tasted success for a while now. But the promo of Karnik’s YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA, starring Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol, which was launched last week, has been received exceptionally well by viewers across the globe.
What’s interesting is that people on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, who are really hard to please when it comes to Hindi movies, have reacted very, very strongly to the first promo of YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA, showering lavish praises on message boards/FB status/tweets. This faction of cinegoers had reacted similarly to DABANGG sometime back and with YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA winning unanimous praise, one expects the film to live up to the expectations when it releases in January 2011.
Police Submitted Spot Fixing Evidence to Prosecutor
Three Pakistani players Muhammad Asif, Muhammad Amir and Salman Butt are facing allegation of spot fixing and they are also going through the phase of investigations by Scot Land Yard team. According to latest information Scot Land Yard team has submitted initial evidences to the prosecutor. ICC has suspended these players from playing any type of cricket.
Scotland Yard spokesman said that Metropolitan Police Service has submitted their initial evidences to the Crown Prosecution Service. Wahab Riaz is fourth Pakistani player who is going through investigation phase although he is not suspended by ICC. Spot fixing scandal has disturbed Pakistan game so much that after losing Test match and T-20 series Pakistan is now on the edge of losing ODI series.
Match and spot fixing is not restricted to Pakistan, it is spread all over the world. Maga event of India IPL 2 was also considered doubtful in respect of match fixing. It was also considered that two Australian were also involved in Spot fixing.
All three suspended players are now in Pakistan and they will make available to investigation teams whenever they will be asked to appear. PCB said that Pakistan players are innocent until proven guilty. Ijaz Butt said that he requested ICC chief to remove suspension on Pakistani players.

Umar Akmal doubtful for semi-final
ST LUCIA: Young Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has become unfit and his appearance in tomorrow’s semi-final against Australia is looking doubtful.
Geo News reporter Abdul Majid Bhatti, present in St Lucia, said that Umar Akmal after having back pain was taken to a local hospital where he will be going through an MRI test.
The final decision on his inclusion in the team for the semi-final will depend on his MRI report.
Meanwhile, Pakistan under-19 batsman Hammad Azam may be given T20 international cap in the semi-final if Umar Akmal does not get fit.

The New York Jets have signed Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2010 draft.
Holmes made a brilliant catch in the dying seconds of Pittsburgh’s Super Bowl victory against Arizona, however it appears the Steelers have tired of his off-the-field misdemeanours.
Reports in the US have claimed he will be hit with a four-match ban for violating the league’s substance abuse policy while he is also facing a police investigation after a woman claimed he threw a glass in her face in a nightclub in Florida.
Holmes has strenuously denied the women’s allegations against him – however with the 26-year-old having previously been in trouble with the police, the Steelers look to have run out of patience.
Holmes scored five touchdowns for 1,248 yards receiving in 2009 for the Steelers, who missed the play-offs last year.

There couldn’t have been a more potent reason for Phil to give it his all in the Masters tournament which just recently came to an end and I hope that it does some good for Phil Mickelson wife who was just less than a year ago diagnosed with having breast cancer. The man took home a green jacket for his superb play and it will be something that Phil Mickelson wife remembers as even though she was going through some health problems she took out the time and energy to visit the tournament to see her husband play, and I am sure that it was one of the reasons that Phil kept going so strong.
Breast cancer is something that no one could wish for and I’m sure the diagnoses of the disease for Phil Mickelson wife was a great reason of concern but then there might still be a chance of her fighting the disease to get to a healthier state. I just feel terrible for the woman and the golf player who must
have been going through so much while making those crucial drives and putts which goes to show just how talented the person is at golf – anyone who can win a tournament while having a plateful like this definitely has some nerves of steel.
Prayers for Phil Mickelson wife have been said by many around the world and I think you all could help too by putting a little word in with god to help her fight this disease which has been riddling her life with complications ever since she was diagnosed with it some eleven months ago.
