It’s a bitter sweet moment for Arjun Rampal, where on one end his multi starrer film Housefull is up for release, on the other hand he is drowned in grief due to a personal tragedy.

Arjun is faced with the demise of his grandmother whom he was extremely close too. It’s a personal loss for the actor and he is therefore keeping a low profile. While all the other actors are going all out and promoting the film, it seems like Arjun might take time away from some of the activities as he comes to terms with this sudden misfortune.

Five-Year-Old British Boy Kidnapped In Pakistan Is Safe:Police

5b5b98638dpolice Five Year Old British Boy Kidnapped In Pakistan Is Safe:PoliceJHELUM PAKISTAN: British boy kidnapped in Pakistan nearly a week ago is alive and police are making progress in the investigation, a police official said on Tuesday.

Sahil Saeed, who is of Pakistani origin, was abducted last Thursday after gunmen barged into his grandmother’s house, held the family at gun-point for hours and then left with some valuables and the boy.

“The child is safe. We made some progress and hopefully, we’ll sort out this case soon,” Khalid Mehmood, police superintendent for investigations in the city of Jhelum, told Reuters.

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Sunday that police were closing in on the kidnappers and that the abductors appeared to be close to the boy’s family.

Kidnapping is a major problem in Pakistan and many of the crimes go unreported. Police have said Taliban militants use ransoms from kidnappings to fund their insurgency against the U.S.-backed government.

No sign has emerged that the abduction of the boy, who is from the English town of Oldham, was linked to militants.

Police have said the gunmen took away 150,000 rupees ($1,750) and some gold and later demanded a 10 million rupee ($118,000) ransom.

Police said the kidnappers had been tipped off that the boy and his father were planning to fly home to Britain last Thursday after visiting relatives in Pakistan.

Sahils Mother Forgives Kidnappers

JHELUM: Sahils Mother Forgives Kidnappers, The mother of a British 0785d713aeappers Sahils Mother Forgives Kidnappersboy held captive in Pakistan has said she forgives the kidnappers as she made an emotional plea for the safe return of her son.

Police are continuing to question several men over the abduction but there was no sign of an imminent rescue of five-year-old Sahil Saeed.

Sahil was grabbed by gun and grenade-wielding raiders on Thursday from his grandmother’s house. They were said to have demanded a Ā£100,000 ransom.

Prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani called Sahil’s father this weekend to assure him the family had the full support of his government.

His mother, Akila Naqqash, made a direct appeal to the abductors from the family home in Oldham, Greater Manchester, to end their ordeal and let her son go.

The Foreign Office echoed that appeal and said its High Commission in Islamabad was in regular contact with the police officer leading the investigation.

In a message to the kidnappers, Ms Naqqash, 31, said: “I just want my son back. All is forgiven, I will forgive you. You may have children yourself. I forgive you.”

The tearful mother said the family was still nervously awaiting updates from Pakistan where her husband, Raja Naqqash Saeed, received assurances from the country’s prime minister that they were making every effort to recover the boy.

Ms Naqqash said: “All we can do is just pray for him. I am hopeful, I am just praying all day and every night,” she said. “All we are doing is waiting.”

Scientists To Reveal What Killed King Tutankhamun

8cf37a4364khamun Scientists To Reveal What Killed King TutankhamunKing Tutankhamen, the teen-aged pharaoh whose Egyptian tomb yielded dazzling treasures, limped around on tender bones and a club foot and probably died from malaria, researchers said on.
There has been speculation about the fate of the boy king, who died sometime around 1324 BC probably at age 19, since the 1922 discovery of his intact tomb in Egypt’s Valley of Kings. Tests performed on 16 royal mummies found four, including Tut, had contracted a severe form of malaria that likely cut short Tut’s reign, ruling out murder or some other sickness. Scientists from Egypt, Germany and elsewhere, including Zahi Hawass of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, compiled results from genetic and radiological testing performed on the mummies between 2007 and 2009. The results clarify details about the 155-year-long 18th Dynasty that included Tutankhamen, who inherited the throne at age 11. The scientists speculated Tut was weakened by a broken leg possibly from a fall. That and a malaria infection led to his death, they believe. Tut was afflicted with a cleft palate, mild clubfoot in his left foot and other bone ailments. He and some family members had a form of Kohler disease, which can cause foot bones to collapse from lack of blood but would not have been fatal. The scientists were also fairly certain they identified the mummies belonging to Tut’s father, Akhenaten, and his grandmother, Tiye, based on shared blood groups.

Send in The Clowns

Send in the Clowns: Send in the Clowns Lyrics and Youtube – It’s hard to 7721a00835clowns1 Send in The Clownsbelieve that, three months ago, Australian national politics was (primarily) a contest between two broadly normal political parties. The government was running well ahead, but open to criticism for having talked a lot and done relatively little. The opposition was excessively keen on the maxim ā€˜the first duty of an opposition is to oppose’, and the alternative policies it proposed were neither as detailed as they might be, nor entirely consistent, but that has always been true of oppositions.

Although a change of government in 2010 looked unlikely, there was nothing to suggest that such an event would be a disaster if it happened.

That could not be said today. The government is much the same as before, but the opposition has become a clown show, happy to do or say whatever comes to mind, either to chase votes, secure the support of its base or simply to muddy the waters enough that they have a chance to win in the resulting confusion.

Relay for Life Chairperson Traci Froelich said this year Relay will focus on family fun with a theme of a three-ring circus while raising money to fight cancer. She lost a close friend to cancer, but her grandmother’s recent diagnosis of cancer made the battle even more personal, she said.

ā€œI’ve always been involved with Relay because I believe in it, but it became a lot more personal,ā€ Froelich said. ā€œNo one should be without hope. We just need to join together and do our parts so this disease can be gone.ā€

Barnaby Joyce has copped a bit of flak for this, most notably for the fiasco at the Press Club. But Abbott himself is just as guilty as witness his claim that NZ, which didn’t have much of a stimulus package, is doing as well, economically, as Australia. This is obviously false, but that didn’t stop Abbott making the claim or getting, broadly speaking, a free pass on it.

So far, the clown show has been at least a partial success in political terms. This is not all that surprising – at any time, much of the public is disengaged from politics and welcomes a bit of entertainment. And, with this level of disengagement, it takes a long time for the fact that a political party has taken leave of its senses to percolate through the public consciousness, as witness the recent successes of the US Republicans, despite their catastrophic mismanagement in office. So, there is no guarantee that this clown show will lose the next election. But, with luck, the long term good sense of the Australian public will come into play before then.
