Iran says draft sanctions resolution has no chance

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki expressed surprise on Wednesday when asked about a draft sanctions resolution that has been agreed by world powers.

Wapda dominance continues in women cycling

LAHORE: Wapda maintained its dominance also on second day in the eighth National Women Cycling Championship here on Sunday.

Raheela bano of Wapda won the 20km time individual time trial in 29 minutes, 42.43 minutes while Misbah Mushtaq, also from Wapda, came second and Fauzia of Army finished third.

In 30km team time trial, Wapda won gold medal with 40 minutes, 11.84, followed by Army and Punjab.

Owner of a catering firm for the reception Jalaluddin told that food for one thousand guests would be prepared at the reception and special cooks from Lahore have reached here to perform this task.

He said that the guests would be served with desi and traditional meals of Punjab.

As per the firm’s management, tents for the newly-wedded couple and the guests have been decorated in befitting style and the hall has been designed with the best seating arrangement and bright colours.
