Muslim Leagues Union: Pir Pagara summons meeting tomorrow
Chairman of Muslim League (functional) Pir Sahab Pagara has summoned an important meeting for the union of all the muslim leagues of the country tomorrow on Friday. Important leaders have started reching Karachi for the meeting whereas PML-Q has not been invited for the meeting, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
Hamid Nasir Chattha, Humayun Akhter, Salim Saif Ullah Khan, Gohar Ayub Khan and Khurshid Mehmood Kasoori from the like-minded goup would attend the meeting that is to be held in Kingri house Karachi whereas President of PML-Functional Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood and Jahangir Tareen would also participate in the meeting.
On the other hand Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has also reached Karachi to attend the aforementioned meeting. Many important political leaders would informally meet Pir Pagara in Kingri house tonite while the formal meeting would be held on Friday after which Pir Pagara would do a press conference along with all other political leaders.
Salman, Aamir, Asif meet PCB officials
LONDON: Facing the match-fixing allegations, three Pakistani players, Test captain Salman Butt, Mohammed Asif and Mohammed Aamir met PCB officials including Chairman Ijaz Butt on Thursday, Geo News reported.
However, players’ scheduled meeting with Pakistani High Commission in London Wajid Shamsul Hassan was delayed for a day due to anonymous reasons.
Now, this meeting will be held on Friday, featuring presence of PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt, PCB sources said.
It was decided during the meeting with PCB officials that three players will join ODI squad in Taunton on Friday.

Gilani to chair high level meeting on security
Lahore, Pakistan:- Prime Minster Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has summoned a high level meeting in the wake of present law and order situation in the country.
The meeting will be held on Friday and attended by the Chief Ministers of all the four provinces, Chief Secretary, Federal and Provincial Interior Ministers, Provincial Chief Secretaries, Home Secretaries and Police Chiefs. A strategy to cope with the terrorism will be outlined in the meeting.
The meeting, convened after attacks on security forces and educational institutions, would review closure of educational institutions besides measures to protect them from terrorist attacks in future. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will be briefed about the present security situation across the country.
