Corinne Bailey Rae Husband, Corinne Bailey Rae (born Corinne Jacqueline Bailey on 26 February 1979) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist who released her debut album Corinne Bailey Rae in February 2008. Rae was named the number-one predicted breakthrough act of 2006 in an annual BBC poll of music critics, Sound of 2006. She became only the fourth female British act in history to have her first album debut at number one.[citation needed] Rae was nominated for Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards, and has won two MOBO Awards and an Album Of The Year Grammy and Best Contemporary Jazz Album for her work as an featured artist in Herbie Hancock’s River: The Joni Letters. Rae was married to fellow musician, Micah james Rae from 2001 until his death in 2008. Rae will release her second album,The Sea on February 2, 2010, after a hiatus of two years. The new album is produced by the duo Steve Brown and Steve Chrisanthou, who produced her debut album in 2006

Grace Bumbry, Kennedy Center Honors ceremony originally held on Sunday, December 6th, with Caroline Kennedy as host for the seventh consecutive year.
This year’s honorees are Mel Brooks, Dave Brubeck, Grace Bumbry, Robert De Niro, and Bruce Springsteen. With President Obama and Vice President Biden in attendance and performances delivered by many artists including; Jack Black, Matthew Broderick, Harry Connick, Jr., Melissa Etheridge, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, Ben Harper, Harvey Keitel, Frank Langella, John Mellencamp, Edward Norton, Carl Reiner, Martin Scorsese, Martin Short, Jon Stewart, Ben Stiller, Sting, Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep, and Eddie Vedder, the roster represents a nice little variety of talent. This yearly event recognizes recipients for their lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts in dance, music, theater, opera, motion pictures and television.
Dave Brubeck, has written a number of jazz standards including “In Your Own Sweet Way” and “The Duke”. Brubeck’s style ranges from refined to wild, reflecting both his mother’s attempts at classical training to his improvisational skills.

Grace Bumery, As a youth Grace Bumbry sang in church choirs and was obsessed with singing as a child. In 1955 she entered Northwestern University, where she studied voice and later transferred to the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. In 1958 she was joint winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions. She made her professional debut in a recital in London in 1959.
