According to Sindh Sarafa Association president Haji Haroon Chand, 10-gram gold price increased to Rs 40,542, up by Rs 342, while gold’s per tola price increased by Rs 400 to close at Rs 37,300.

Silver price reached Rs 14,070 per tola on Wednesday. This is the highest price of gold and silver in history.

The film will be released in 2 stages there. First, a platform release in 12 theaters of 8 major cities on March 24 and then expanded to 200 theaters on April 7. The list of cities is Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, Daejeon, Seongnam, Gwangju, Daegu and Busan.

The film is being aggressively promoted with a P&A spend of $ 1 million. This is the highest marketing spend for an Indian film. The film has been sub-titled in South Korean language.

The film has performed very well in test screenings and the distributors are very confident about the film and find the story and content to be exceptional for the South Korean audience.

He took the wicket of Gautam Gambhir on 5 February 2009 in Colombo to surpass Wasim Akram’s ODI record of 502 wickets. Muralitharan overtook West Indian Courtney Walsh’s record of 519 Test match wickets to become the highest wicket-taker in May 2004.

Collingwood, England’s ‘Blue Collar’ man

SYDNEY: Paul Collingwood earned a reputation as a flinty ‘blue collar’ competitor and an outstanding fielder in his 68 Tests for England.

Collingwood, who announced his retirement from Test cricket during the final Sydney Test on Thursday, was an integral part of England’s Ashes series victories in 2009 and in the current contest in Australia.

Collingwood, 34, will remain as England’s Twenty20 captain and play in the one-day team at next month’s World Cup on the sub-continent.

He played in the last Test of the 2005 home series as Michael Vaughan’s team won back the Ashes and played in all five Tests of the 2009 and 2010/11 series. He also was in all five Tests on the 2006/07 Down Under, which Australia won 5-0.

Oil slips from 3-week high on U.S. inventories, China policy

SINGAPORE: Oil slipped on Thursday as traders focused on rising U.S. crude inventories following a rally of 3 percent in the previous session, when encouraging jobs data in top consumer the United States helped drive prices to their highest in almost three weeks.

Prices also responded to comments from a Chinese central bank adviser, who said the country’s monetary policy was sure to gradually tighten next year to counter excessive global liquidity and domestic inflation.

Optimism that the U.S. would support debt-burdened euro-zone countries cemented oil’s gains of $2.64 on Wednesday. But on Thursday, the front-month contract CLc1 retreated 18 cents to $86.57 a barrel by 0426 GMT, staying slightly more than $2 away from a 25-month peak of $88.63 reached on Nov. 11. ABUDHABI: Dashing batsman AB de Villiers became the highest scorer in a test innings for South Africa when he made 278 not out against Pakistan on the second day of the second Test at Abu Dhabi Stadium on Sunday.

The 24-year-old beat the previous best score in a Test innings of 277 hit by current South African skipper Graeme Smith, against England at Birmingham in 2003.

De Villier’s best helped South Africa declare their first innings at 584-9, soon after tea. He hit 23 boundaries and six sixes during his record-breaking 418-ball knock.

West Indian Brian Lara holds the record for the highest Test score of 400, made against England at Antigua in 2004.

Palm oil price climbs to highest in more than two years

Palm oil futures climbed to the highest level in more than two years on speculation growth in supplies of cooking oils may fail to match the increase in demand from China, Pakistan and Europe.
The January-delivery contract on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange rose as much as 0.5 percent to 3,106 ringgit ($1,003) a metric ton and ended the morning session at 3,100 ringgit. The most-active contract closed at 3,092 ringgit yesterday, the highest level since July 24, 2008.
Palm oil exports from Malaysia, the worlds second- biggest grower, have risen 6 percent in the nine months through September, while output has risen 1.6 percent to 12.7 million tons, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
