Justin Bieber apologizes for flipping off paparazzi

Justin Bieber celebrated his 17th birthday Wednesday night with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The couple was then swarmed by paparazzi while leaving a romantic dinner at Maggiano’s. Bieber was angered and gave the paparazzi the finger after getting in the car. He regrets his actions and took to his Twitter to express his feelings about the incident.First of all, Selena Gomez was not punched in the face. That rumor started after she put her hands in front of her face/mouth to block out the lights from the cameras. Photos seemed to reveal something on her lip that looks like a cold sore, and Bieber’s Twitter fans started telling people she’d been hit.

Later on Twitter, the teen pop idol apologized for his gesture, “Had a great bday and at the end of the night we got surrounded by paps and i reacted in a way i know better. im sorry.” He went on explaining his feeling that night, “It’s not always easy but i know better than to react in anger.”

Bieber apologized for the middle finger, but I don’t think his fans were too offended.

Ted Koppel’s son, 40, found dead in NYC apartment
NEW YORK – The 40-year-old son of former ABC anchor Ted Koppel has been found dead in an Upper Manhattan apartment, police said Tuesday.

Andrew Koppel was declared dead at around 1:30 a.m. Monday in the Washington Heights apartment, Detective John Sweeney said. A medical examiner would determine the cause of death.

Koppel worked for the law department at the city Housing Authority, the agency said Tuesday. They would make no other comment.

The Queens resident was one of Ted Koppel’s four children.

Ted Koppel was the longtime anchor of ABC’s news show “Nightline.” A call to his publicist was not immediately returned Tuesday.

Koppel had been drinking for hours with a man he met at a bar, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

“He had a straw hat on, and I had one on, and he said, ‘Nice hat, man,’” the drinking partner, Russell Wimberly, told the newspaper. “We got to talking, and he started buying me drinks.”

Wimberly said Koppel drank whiskey, and neither man had anything to eat all day.

Andrew Koppel was convicted on a misdemeanor assault charge in 1994 for striking a U.S. Senate aide during an argument at a Capitol Hill automatic teller machine. At the time, he was a student at Georgetown Law School.

“His complexion wasn’t right. It was pale. I said to call the police,” Caban said of finding Koppel later that night. “When the ambulance came, they said he was dead.”

The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death, and no one has been charged.

The Post reports Koppel lived with his girlfriend and their “baby daughter.”

Russell Wimberly recalled meeting Koppel earlier in the day: “He had a straw hat on, and I had one on, and he said, ‘Nice hat, man.’ We got to talking, and he started buying me drinks. There was a lot of alcohol. He didn’t take anything else [drugs] around me, and neither of us ate all day. We talked about our kids … He said he had a kid and loved [her] a lot.”

Koppel “was just really messed up when he came in. He was very drunk,” said Belinda Caban, 53, who lives at the apartment. Koppel laid down on a bed and after a couple of hours, Caban and Wimberly discovered he was not breathing and called 911. Police detective John Sweeney told AP that Koppel was declared dead at around 1:30 a.m. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Koppel was a resident of Queens, where the Post says he lived with his girlfriend and their baby daughter. One of Ted Koppel’s four children, Andrew was convicted in 1993 of punching a senatorial aide in a drunken dust-up in Washington and was ordered into alcohol treatment, notes the Post.

WASHINGTON: The representative of Shania Twain has broken down reports that country star Billy Joel is dating.

According to the National Enquirer, Twain and Joel enjoyed a series of top secret dates, suggesting that they are an item.

However, Twain’s representative has dismissed the reports, insisting, “The story is not true” reports Contactmusic.

Twain has been romantically linked to Frederic Thiebaud since splitting from her husband Robert Lange last year.

Joel, however, has been to introduce as his girlfriend Deborah Dampiere since finishing with his wife Katie Lee recently.
