Kim Kardashian returns from honeymoon with Kris Humphries
TrendPK.com: Apparently the fun is over as Kim Kardashian has returned from her mini Italian honeymoon with her new husband, Kris Humphries.
The two flew back into LAX yesterday after a few days along the Amalfi Coast, states TMZ. Kim was wearing a long summery dress while Kris was dressed more casually.
Kim will be presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday so the newlyweds plan on taking a more extended honeymoon when their schedules free up.

TrendPK.com: It looks like Kim Kardashian will be getting the wedding of her dreams this weekend, but the honeymoon of her dreams will apparently have to wait.
It is rumored that Kim and Kris Humphries will be headed back to work soon after the marriage, states E! News. The two will reportedly take off to New York where Niche Media chairman Jason Binn will host a post-wedding party for the newlyweds.
After that, Kim will begin filming the second season of ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York.’
With all this on the schedule, it looks like the honeymoon will have to wait until next summer when the timing will be much better for the two.

Reese Witherspoon allegedly on family honeymoon in Belize
TrendPK.com: Reese Witherspoon is apparently finally getting away on her honeymoon with new husband Jim Toth and the whole family is with them.
The newly married couple reportedly took her children with them to Belize for a six-day stay, states UsMagazine.com. The family was reportedly very low-key and didn’t expect any special treatment upon arrival.
And it is reported that Witherspoon’s children seem very comfortable and happy with Toth around.
The real story behind Aamir’s first ever suspense drama
The audience has been caught unaware, the trade is surprised, the industry is amazed and the detractors shocked. Aamir Khan, whose last release (3 Idiots) was close to a year back, hadn’t signed a film for ages. In fact work on 3 Idiots had begun more than two and a half years ago and ever since then, there were speculations galore around what would he do next. The feelers were from all over in fact. There were talks about Yash Chopra, Karan Johar and Vidhu Vinod Chopra lining up projects for him to pick and choose. And we are talking only about top of the top brass here.
However, Aamir ended up opting for the one film old Reema Kagti who had found critical appreciation as well as reasonable commercial success with her debut outing Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd, a quirky comedy. With Aamir Khan though, she is taking an altogether different route by scripting a suspense drama.
Says a veteran insider, “Now that’s a first for Aamir because in his career spanning over two decades, Aamir has never – that’s right, never – worked in a suspense drama. Known mostly for his romantic or at times dramatic or action ventures, Aamir has been rapidly switching genres in the last five years. After playing a college student in 3 Idiots, working in a mature dramatic outing with an element of suspense to it sounds like quite a move by Aamir.”
This wasn’t the first script that Reema had presented to Aamir though. She in fact had an altogether different subject in mind and had approached Aamir to work on it a few months back.
“When I first got into a conversation with Aamir, it was for a different subject altogether”, reveals Reema who meanwhile also wrote Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara for close friend and colleague Zoya Akhtar, “It was then decided to pick a different subject and build it on further. It definitely sounded interesting and I bided my time, got this script in place for the new subject, and approached Aamir again.”
Given the fact that Aamir is known for his ‘active contribution’ to the projects that he consents to; did the famed ‘improvisation’ affect her script as well? After all there are still a few more weeks to go and there could be possible changes in script that could come her way.
“No, Aamir didn’t suggest any changes there. In fact what I presented to Aamir stays the way it was designed”, Reema confirms.
She goes on add on a parting note, “Whatever few changes that have actually come in, they are entirely based on what I thought would make the drama more tout. The script has only become far more firm and crisp now.”
A joint production of Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani and Aamir Khan, this yet untitled film would commence shooting in February 2011 and would be ready for release by year end.
Yash Chopra felicitated with Swiss Ambassador’s Award 2010
The Embassy of Switzerland felicitated Bollywood dream merchant Yash Chopra with the Swiss Ambassador’s Award 2010 for his contribution in promoting ‘Brand Switzerland’ through his movies. The award was presented at a scintillating evening hosted at the lawns of the Swiss Ambassador’s residence on Monday, October 25, 2010.
Popular actor Deepika Padukone was present on the occasion and congratulated Yashji on being presented this prestigious award. The highlight of the evening’s cultural performances was the Swiss Ambassador’s opening of the ceremony with music from Waqt (1965) that he brilliantly played on a Flügelhorn. This was followed by colourful dance performances by troupes to songs from Yash Chopra’s films.
While presenting the award to Mr. Chopra, the Swiss Ambassador H.E Mr. Philippe Welti said “We are pleased to honour Mr. Yash Chopra with the first of its kind award. Mr. Chopra’s association with Switzerland dates back to 1965 when he was present at the very same lawns while shooting for his golden jubilee hit, Waqt. Our association has come a long way since then with numerous of his movies showing the splendid serenity of Switzerland. To many Indians, a Yash Chopra movie has been their window to a scenic dreamland… a window to Switzerland.”

The entire unit of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the 1995 Bollywood blockbuster shot extensively in Switzerland, was given a rare Swiss recognition in Mumbai for its successful running for over 500 weeks. In fact, a lake in Switzerland has been unofficially named ‘The Chopra Lake’ because of the way Mr. Chopra has used it in films.

Jean Simmons dies at 80
LONDON: Jean Simmons dies at 80 latest Breaking news updates, Jean Simmons, the ethereal British film star who played Ophelia to Laurence Olivier’s Hamlet, sang with Marlon Brando in “Guys and Dolls” and co-starred with Gregory Peck, Paul Newman and Kirk Douglas, died on Friday.
She was 80 years old.
Simmons, who won an Emmy Award for her role in the 1980s miniseries “The Thorn Birds,” passed away at her home in Santa Monica, her agent Judy Page told the Los Angeles Times.
She had lung cancer.
Already a stunning beauty at 14, Simmons made her film debut in the 1944 British production “Give Us the Moon.”
Several minor films followed before British director David Lean gave the London-born actress her breakthrough role of Estella, companion to the reclusive Miss Havisham in 1946’s “Great Expectations.”
That was followed by the exotic “Black Narcissus,” and then Olivier’s Oscar-winning “Hamlet” in 1948, for which Simmons was nominated as best supporting actress.
She would be nominated for another Oscar, for best actress for 1969’s “The Happy Ending,” before moving largely to television roles in the 1970s, ’80s and ’90s.
Her other notable films included “Elmer Gantry” (with Burt Lancaster), “Until They Sail” (with Paul Newman), “The Big Country” (with Gregory Peck), “Spartacus,” (with Kirk Douglas), “This Earth Is Mine” (Rock Hudson), “All the Way Home” (Robert Preston), “Mister Buddwing” (James Garner) and “Rough Night in Jericho” (Dean Martin).
Simmons had left Britain for Hollywood in 1950, accompanied by her future husband Stewart Granger.
There, they were befriended by reclusive tycoon Howard Hughes, who flew them to Tucson, Arizona, for a surprise wedding.
“When I returned from the honeymoon,” Simmons told a reporter in 1964, “I learned that Hughes owned me, he had bought me from (British producer) J. Arthur Rank like a piece of meat.”
What followed was a string of films that she would later dismiss as terrible, although she took some solace in the fact Hughes, legendary in those days as a womaniser, never bothered her.
Simmons finally ended up suing Hughes for the right to make more prestigious films at other studios, and the result was “Young Bess” (as young Queen Elizabeth I), “The Robe” (the first movie filmed in CinemaScope), “The Actress,” “The Egyptian” and “Desiree.”
In the latter film, in 1954, she played the title role opposite Marlon Brando’s Napoleon.
The pair teamed again in 1955 for “Guys and Dolls,” the Samuel Goldwyn-produced musical in which Simmons was Sarah Brown, a Salvation Army-style reformer conned into a weekend fling in Havana by gambler Sky Masterson.
By the 1970s, her career as a lead film actress had ended, but Simmons continued to work regularly on stage and in television.
In the 1980s and ’90s she appeared on such television shows as “Murder, She Wrote,” “In the Heat of the Night” and “Xena: Warrior Princess.”
She also appeared in numerous TV movies and miniseries, including a 1991 version of “Great Expectations,” in which she played Miss Havisham this time.
The careers of both Simmons and her husband Granger had flourished in the 1950s, he as a swashbuckler, she as the demure heroine. But long absences on film locations strained their relationship, and they divorced in 1960.
They had a daughter, Tracy.
Shortly after her divorce, Simmons married Richard Brooks, who had directed her in “Elmer Gantry” and would again in “The Happy Ending.”
Their marriage, which produced a daughter, Kate, ended in divorce in 1977.

Japan PMs Ex-aide Charged over Funds Scandal

TOKYO: A former close aide to Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama was charged on Thursday over falsified political funding records, public broadcaster NHK said, in a development that threatens to erode support for the government.
The scandal, which has been public knowledge for months, is thought unlikely to force Hatoyama to resign but the indictment will be another headache for his government, which marked 100 days in office on Thursday and faces key decisions on next year’s budget and relocating a U.S. airbase.
A sharp slide in voter approval could endanger the premier’s grip on his post ahead of an upper house election in mid-2010, in which his Democratic Party wants to win an outright majority to reduce the clout of two tiny but vocal coalition partners.
Opinion polls have shown voters are unhappy with Hatoyama’s explanation of the scandal over misreported donations, but a majority have said he need not resign over the affair.
Jiji news agency said the Tokyo summary court would fine the former aide 300,000 yen ($3,280). Tokyo prosecutors’ office said it could not confirm the report.
The indictment is thought unlikely to cause a quick, sharp drop in Hatoyama’s voter support, although it has slipped to as low as just below 50 percent from initial highs over 70 percent as doubts grow over the premier’s leadership skills.
Media reports have said prosecutors will not charge Hatoyama himself.
“It coincides with the end of the honeymoon period, as Hatoyama’s government marks 100 days in office and in that sense, it is symbolic and fateful,” said Kyohei Morita, chief economist at Barclays Capital Japan, adding that he expected limited impact on financial markets.
“The (opposition) Liberal Democratic Party is too weak to force him to resign… and I don’t think Hatoyama will voluntarily step down either. But it may worsen voter support ahead of the upper house election,” he said.
Hatoyama said earlier in the day he would explain more about the funding scandal once prosecutors make decisions.

Shilpa Shetty Honeymoon Plans Revealed

MUMBAI: Raj Kundra will most likely whisk Shilpa Shetty away to the Bahamas for their honeymoon after their wedding (November 22) and reception (November 24).
Right now their honeymoon plans are strictly off-limits. A daily reports that a source close to Shilpa has said that,”Raj plans fantastic vacations and this is one holiday he wants Shilpa to remember forever. Though Shilpa knows Raj has booked the Regal Suite for them at the Atlantis resort in the Paradise Islands at the Bahamas, everything else is a surprise for Shilpa. Raj is arranging everything.”
Shilpa and Raj will get married at Kiran Bawa’s farmhouse in Khandala and will hold a grand reception in Mumbai after which they will fly down to the Oneness Temple near Chennai to seek the blessings of Sri Amma and Sri Bhagwan.
After spending a few days there, the couple will fly off to the Bahamas for their honeymoon.
