Don Cornelius Dead At Age 75

One of Don Cornelius’ sons was the one who made the 911 call after he had shot himself in the head this morning. At 4am this morning the paramedics arrived and tried to save his life but unfortunately he was announced dead at the hospital.

The “Soul Train” creator, Don Cornelius appears to not have left a suicide note. But, sources are saying he had been suffering from an illness for years and they are guessing that the pain just became unbearable for him to handle.

Don Cornelius ex-wife whom he hated is probably one who is getting the most out of his death. He dies with two life insurance policies that held hundreds of thousands of dollars and she will be the one getting every last cent of the money.

The breakup between Viktoria Chapman Cornelius was brutal. Don was convicted on domestic abuse charges and he even claims that Viktoria pepper sprayed him numerous times. However, Don finalized their divorce in 2009 stating that he was 72 years old and he has health issues and he at least wants to have his divorce finalized before he dies. However, by doing that he also had to make Viktoria the beneficiary of both his life insurance policies which leaves her with approximately $300,000.

Blake Shelton’s Dad Passes Away

Blake Shelton who is best none as being “The Voice” star has had some very sad news come his way. His father has passed away due to his declining health issues. Currently, there has been no word as to how Blake Shelton is holding up with his dad passing away on Tuesday. However, one good thing is his father was surrounded by his loved ones when he took that journey to a more peaceful place where he does not have to worry about pain or suffering anymore.

Blake Shelton has announced that he is going to have to reschedule several tour dates. However, his fans seem to be very understanding in knowing that this is a situation that Blake Shelton must heal from – no one expected him to perform his prior engagements after they heard the news about his father.

Blake Shelton’s father had been hospitalized with pneumonia – which Blake alerted fans of when he received the won during the American Country Awards last month – in Oklahoma. Also, Blake Shelton is currently thanking his fans by letting them know that their support means a lot to him and he also mentions that he loves them.

Blake will be missing four of his shows that were planned to take place in North and South Dakota as well as in Montana. However, they have been rescheduled to take place in March. But, Blake Shelton will be getting back on the road January 26th starting in Columbus, Georgia. Also, he will be singing “America the Beautiful” with his wife Miranda Lambert at the Superbowl that is taking place next month. Not to mention the fact that he has also been nominated for three Grammys.

Saif’s father hospitalized again

Veteran cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was admitted to hospital yet again on Saturday following complications in his lung. The cricketer was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi with an apparent lung disease. However, Pataudi’s ailment hasn’t yet been diagnosed, even though he was shifted to the ICU and being treated and tended round the clock. This is the second time Pataudi has been hospitalised this month.

Pataudi’s daughter Soha, flew to Delhi on Saturday itself after getting the news. Saif too stalled the shoot of Agent Vinod midway and rushed to Delhi. He has since roped in a reputed US medic to look into his father’s illness.

Elderly man burnt alive in Faisalabad

 The incident took place in Chak 228, a Sadar police station area of Faisalabad.

Muhammad Sharif was sitting in his house when his neighbours Tufail, Dost Muhammad and Mazoor Foji allegedly entered the house after scaling the wall and burnt him alive after sprinkling kerosene oil on him.

The accused then fled the scene. Sharif was brought to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered a case on the complaint of the slain’s nephew. No arrests have been made.

Brazil: Rio bus high jacking ends with three injured

According to police, some 20 passengers were on the bus when it was first taken. The hijackers then let 10 people go and kept the other 10 on the bus for another hour.

The authorities said that three of the hostages were seriously injured in the incident. One woman was shot in the chest and another passenger was shot in the neck. The circumstances surrounding the third injury were unclear. All three were taken to the hospital where their status remains serious.
Police officer Colonel Mario Sergio Duarte said the authorities did the best they could in the face of difficult circumstances.

“They (the hijackers) were heavily armed with grenades and the outcome was good as it could be. We were cautious and used all of our techniques, we had the support of other institutions and we achieved the hoped-for result, but unfortunately some people were hurt,” he said.

The streets around the bus were closed off as police evaluated the situation. Details on how the hijacking was resolved are sketchy, but gunfire was heard and then police surrounded the bus.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and expect to have more details.

According to police, in Gulisatan Johr, a man came to a hotel with a girl. Meanwhile, unidentified armed men entered the hotel and opened the fire. Due to the firing, the boy died on the spot while the girl died in the hospital. On the other hand, a man was killed in Korangi area over a minor dispute, which was occurred during a cricket match. A man was killed in Landhi by unidentified persons firing.

Ghazi Baba’s shrine attacked, 3 killed

PESHAWAR: Gunmen attacked the shrine of Sufi saint Ghazi Baba on Tuesday and shot dead three of its caretakers in Badbeer, Peshawar, said police.

A passerby has also been injured.

Suicide bombers have attacked Sufi shrines here in the past.

It has been revealed that corruption of millions of dollars has been done in buying angiography and other machinery for more than double the price at Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital, Lahore.

According to trendpk.com sources, it is known that angiography machinery at Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital has been bought through commission mafia for 0.9 million dollars. While Punjab Institute of Cardiology, Lahore bought the same Toshiba machine along with 30 beds and stretchers in half the price which was 0.4 million dollars. In Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital, another 0.1 million dollars were spent in buying 20 lead hangers; where as only 2 such hangers are required in a major hospital and they cost only 20 thousand rupees. In all this, national treasury has experienced a loss of more than 0.5 million dollars. In Punjab, these social security hospitals work under the provincial ministry of manpower and labour; where as all the rest of hospitals fall under ministry of health.

The commissioner for Nawaz Sharif Social Security Hospital Sher Alam Mehsud has said that if these allegations are proved right, then he will be ready to face any sort of charges; where as provincial minister for manpower and labour Ashraf Sohna said that he will resign if these allegations are not proved.

Sialkot: Youngster chews ear of doctor on insufficient care

A young man has chewed an ear of a doctor upon no attending a patient properly, trendpk.Com reported on Wednesday. The hospital administration got hold of the young man and handed him to police.

A young man named Hafiz Usman attacked and chewed the right ear of emergency Dr. Sadaat Anwer in a private hospital in Model Town , Sialkot. This resulted in huge amount of blood erupting out of Dr. Sadaat’s ear. The hospital administration immediately shifted Dr. Sadaat to Government Sardar Begum Hospital where he under-went an operation of his ear.

Dr. Sadaat told trendpk.Com that 1-year-old Ayesha, the daughter of Hafiz Usman, was admitted in the ICU ward of the hospital where gents are not allowed to stay and when Hafiz Usman was asked to leave the place, he got infuriated and attacked him. On the other hand Hafiz Usman told trendpk.Com that his daughter was not being attended properly and when he complained Dr. Sadaat about the matter the doctor harassed him and got violent with him.
