Asin denies shooting ‘steamy scene’ with Salman
Ready may be months away from release but is definitely one of the most awaited films of 2011. After all it brings the hit combination of Salman Khan and Anees Bazmee together years after No Entry. Also, it would be the third Bollywood outing for Asin who waited to sign a new film after Ghajini and London Dreams.
However, the lady in question found herself in the news for all the wrong reasons with a piece of rumour floating around the world of web. As per that, she shares a steamy scene with Salman in the film and has finally let go off her imagination. The fact though is that this is far away from being true.
Says a highly placed source associated with Ready, “No, Asin hasn’t shot for any such scene in Ready. The film doesn’t need that. This is someone’s imagination really running wild. Asin knew that such a news piece was floating around for last few days but she decided to stay low.”
Why not raise an early alarm?
“You can’t stop people from speculating. Some people write things that do not carry any semblance of truth”, continues the source, “Asin has been in the industry for long and understands that such news pieces do float around. She decided to let it go so that it could die a silent death in due course of time. However, when certain reputed publications and glossies also fell for the so-called piece of information, she thought it was best to clarify.”
One would have expected Asin to be all fired up when confronted with the query to unveil the truth. However, surprisingly one heard a giggle from her and though it didn’t convey a ‘care-a-damn’ gesture, Asin was stern and sure in her denial.
“I am rather amused to hear this because I haven’t shot any steamy scene with Salman in Ready”, Asin comes clean here.
With the lady at the hot seat going on the records about her act in the film, there is of course no room for any more speculation or rumour.
“To think of it, the speculation by itself stands on a flimsy ground”, smiles Asin, “Ready is a family entertainer. Now tell me, where would such a scene feature in it in any case? It’s really weird that someone actually thought of bringing out such news for a movie like this where there is no scope for such a sequence in any case.”
Now that should set the records straight.

LOS ANGELES — For the Los Angeles Kings, the taste of defeat was especially bitter because it came on the heels of a good effort.
After getting blown out 7-2 in Game 5, the Kings did a lot of the little things right in Game 6. They outshot the Vancouver Canucks, 32-22. They went directly to the net for most of the night. They remained composed and took no dumb penalties. Most importantly, they battled as hard as they could and showed the will to win.

Sania Mirza Wedding Photos, HYDERABAD, India: Indian tennis player Sania Mirza married former Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malik on Monday after their families moved the date of the ceremony forward by three days.
The ceremony took place in a hotel at Mirza’s hometown of Hyderabad, the capital of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, Rucha Naik, a spokeswoman for Mirza’s family said Monday.
“Just now the Nikah (Muslim marriage ceremony) has been performed. Please pray for the couple,” Naik told reporters.
The union of two of South Asia’s best known sports personalities came amid a controversy caused by another Indian woman, Ayesha Siddique, who claimed she was already married to Malik. Last week, Muslim elders brokered a divorce between the pair, clearing the way for the wedding.
Sania Mirza was dressed in a traditional red sari that her mother wore at her own wedding 25 years ago, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
Both Mirza and Malik will now be based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, but continue to represent their countries in their respective sports, Mirza’s father Imran Mirza said.
Earlier this month, Siddique filed a police complaint against Malik over his plans to wed Mirza.
In her complaint, Siddique alleged that Malik married her in June 2002 and accused him of subjecting her to cruelty and harassment by denying that the wedding took place and by trying to marry another woman.
Siddique’s mother, Farisa Siddique, said her daughter’s only demand was a divorce from Malik. The Siddique family withdrew the police complaint after the divorce papers were signed by the two.
It’s not the first time that a Pakistani cricketer has married to a high-profile Indian woman.
Former test batsman Mohsin Khan, now Pakistan chief selector, married Indian actress Reena Roy in the 1980s. The marriage later broke down.

Anderson Silva’s manager, Ed Soares, claims the middleweight king’s antics in Abu Dhabi weren’t AS BAD after seeing them on replay.
“In watching the fight again last night, I didn’t really think it was as bad as I may have felt when I was watching it live,” Soares told Kimura.se.
UFC president Dana White must be breathing a sigh of relief knowing DVR’s across the planet are re-loading this weekend’s debacle.
“Demian Maia talked a lot of crap before the fight and said a lot of things personally to Anderson,” as Soares attempted to justify his star’s shenanigans. “To me, when I look at it, the emotions got to him and basically he wanted to make [Maia] pay and suffer for all the stuff he was saying.”
After calling Maia out in the opening rounds for not engaging, Silva was the one that spent the championship stanzas circling the Octagon refusing to throw. Not only did this enrage fans, who booed the champ for much of the 5thRound, but White went absolutely ballistic after witnessing Silva’s sideshow act.

“There was obviously a change, we don’t know what it was,” Soares said of Silva’s mentality throughout the 25-minute affair. “He did say after the 3rdRound that he couldn’t find his distance. He was really looking [to finish].
“He told me after the fight, ‘Ed, I swear I was trying to finish the fight, but in the middle of the 3rdRound, I couldn’t find my distance properly. I was well prepared for the fight. I was trying to finish the fight, but at that point in time I just couldn’t link together my combinations to finish the fight. I couldn’t find it, it wasn’t clicking from the 3rdRound on.’”
What Silva did appear to find was insanity as MMA’s most efficient striker single-handedly turned the historic event into a circus act during the championship rounds.
White was so disgusted with Silva that he handed the belt to Soares in the 4thRound and told him to wrap the gold around Silva’s waist because White wasn’t going to do it.
“Anderson and I spoke with him last night. Dana basically said his point of view, which we understand,” Soares said of his meeting with White. “We’ve talked to him. Everything’s fine. We’re sorry that he felt that way. We explained our things and he explained his side. He made a lot of valid points, and it happens sometimes.

We aren’t experts on diamonds by any stretch of the imagination, but we feel confident in speculating that the stone causes massive double takes whenever it’s worn.
Such was certainly the case on Sunday, when the TV audience caught a glimpse. Details on the ring are scant, but searches on “amy mickelson ring” and “amy mickelson diamond ring” each soared over 500%. Additionally, general online lookups on “amy mickelson photos” and “amy mickelson age” (she’s 37) both roared over 1,000%.
All the searches on a piece of jewelry may feel unseemly, but anyone who saw the victory hug between husband and wife couldn’t help but notice the ring. It’d be like looking at Sam Elliott and not seeing his moustache or gazing at Jay Leno without noticing the chin. A physical impossibility—the ring could not be ignored.
The larger story was, of course, Amy’s battle with cancer. The long-term prognosis is good, but the treatments have left her fatigued. Her inability to walk the course made their embrace after the 18th hole and Phil’s victory all the more sweet.

Pixion VFX glitters Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai
Produced by Warner Bros & People Tree Films and directed by the debutant Milap Zaveri, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai is another romantic-comedy which illustrates love, in an innovative way. What adds glitter to the movie is the vfx executed by Mumbai based VFX house Pixion.
Boasting of around 600 shots, the movie extensively consists of chroma replacements and CG properties. Says Viral Thakkar, CG head at Pixion, “The main idea behind using VFX in the movie was to make the narrative of the film better. CG props, environment etc used in the movie helped director and his team to bring out their imagination at their best.”
The film revolves around Ritesh Deshmukh who finds no worldly girl that fascinates him and Tara (Jacqueline Fernandez), an alien from Venus who comes to find love on earth.
“Basically, most of the shots were shot using green plates, as it would have been tiresome to do so without it, and since Ritesh and Jacqueline had done a vfx film earlier, the crew didn’t have to put in any extra effort. The main task was planning out the shots thoroughly before we take it to the sets”, adds Milap.

Nawaz met Osama 5 times, says ex-ISI man

Lahore, March 21: In a stunning disclosure that once again confirmed the nexus between Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and banned militant outfits, a former ISI official, Khalid Khwaja, has claimed to have arranged at least five meetings between former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.
In an interview with a private television channel, Mr Khwaja said Mr Sharif has met several Islamic movement leaders around the world, including Osama, and asked him to provide funds for “development projects”.
Mr Khwaja said that he had arranged three meetings between Mr Sharif and Osama in Saudi Arabia.
“Nawaz insisted that I arrange a direct meeting with Osama, which I did in Saudi Arabia. Nawaz was looking for a Rs 500 million grant from Osama. Altho-ugh Osama provided a comparatively smaller sum … he secured for Nawaz a meeting with the Saudi royal family,” the Daily Times quoted Mr Khwaja as saying. He claimed that Osama had provided him funds to hand over to the incumbent Punjab chief minister to overthrow then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s government. “I remember that Osama provided me funds that I handed over to then Punjab chief minister Nawaz to topple Benazir Bhutto’s government,” Mr Khwaja said. He claimed that he maintained a close relationship with Osama as after being “forced” to retire he went to Afghanistan in 1987 and fought Soviet troops “alongside Osama”.
