Lahore murders case test for Govt: Fazal
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman on Saturday alleged that all the political parties operate under US influence.
He was talking to media in Lahore.
Referring to the Raymond Davis, a US citizen who gunned down two people on Wednesday in Lahore, Maulana said that the murders case is a biggest test of the incumbent rulers. We will not allow any American to play with our blood.
He warned those at the helm against pursuing a weak foreign policy for it would exacerbate the already volatile situation in the country. The issue would expose the rulers, Fazal maintained.
Nawaz unsatisfied with Govts delivery
Lashing out at the incumbent government over prevailing crises, PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has said that the governments governance is unsatisfactory, trendpk.com reported on Thursday.
Talking to media in Lahore, Nawaz maintained, Instead of ending power loadshedding, the government has started gas outages. He asserted that problems arise to be resolved; adding that Preisndet Zardari has not replied to his letter as yet.
Had action been taken against corruption, such situation would not have emerged, Nawaz added. He said that he did not take any decision under any whim, we have an ideology and we follow a certain thinking pattern, he affirmed. The dictators had always been resorting to undemocratic ways but now such action should be stopped, the PML-N chief said.
Nawaz says won’t accept RGST Bill
Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday resolved to make PML-N a revolutionary party.
Addressing a public gathering at Sumundri, Nawaz said that corruption in Hajj arrangements is an unpardonable mistake. It is the height of corruption in our country; the federal minister himself admitted the irregularities, he lamented. Referring to RGST, he said, The government should eliminate corruption prior to imposing the RGST Bill; We will not accept this Bill.Nawaz maintained that the government would not be in need of loans, if it spends the money being collected through tax judicially. He denied the allegation leveled on him by Wikileaks, saying that Musharraf dubbed him a hijacker wrongly. Do I look like a highjacker?, the PML-N chief asked the audience. He blamed the incumbent government for the prevalent power shortage.
Wikileaks: Nawaz more dangerous than Zardari, says Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
According to the recently published Wikileaks reports, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi has termed Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as more dangerous than Asif Ali Zardari. Accoring to the controversial reports, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Prince Muhammad bin Zaid has said that Nawaz Sharif is more dangerous than Asif Zardari. In a document of 23rd July, 2009, the Crown Prince said that Zardari is corrupt but not dangerous while Nawaz Sharif is not a trustworthy person.
The same document states that a new personality can come into the lime light but till then UAE would keep on supporting the incumbent prime minister of Pakistan.
Nawaz Urges Govt to Restore Peace in Balochistan
Expressing grave concern over the worsening law and order situation in Balochistan, Nawaz Sharif called upon the incumbent government to restore peace in the province.
Addressing the party’s organizing committee in Quetta, Nawaz said that every Pakistani is worried for Balochistan and its peace; the country is passing through hard times, he added and vowed to save the country at any cost. Expressing grave concern over the worsening law and order situation in Baluchistan, Nawaz said that targeted killing of Pakhtuns, Balochs and natives is on with no solution in sight. Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and Karachi are burning. He called upon the government to redress the grievances of Baloch people.Under which law Nawab Akbar Bugti was assassinated? he asked.
Nawaz said the government’s foreign policy has failed.
Chief Pakistan Muslim League-N Nawaz Sharif has vowed to expel the allies of General Musharraf from his party, trendpk.Com reported on Saturday.
Nawaz urged the party officials to settle mutual differences and strengthen the party.
Justice Ijaz to Succeed CJ LHC in Dec

LAHORE, News Trends: The Judicial Council has reached consensus on appointment of justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed as Chief Justice Lahore High Court after the retirement of incumbent CJ LHC justice Khwaja Sharif.
According to sources, the incumbent CJ LHC justice Khwaja Sharif to retire on Dec 8.
In a meeting of JC, it has been decided that LHC’s senior judge justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry to succeed the current CJ LHC Justice Khwaja Sharif as he is going to retire from the post on December 8.
Bloodbath in Karachi : MQM alleges Govt of backing miscreants
MQM has alleged that the incumbent government is protecting the Awami National Party (ANP) and so called Peoples Peace Committee, who unleashed bloodbath in Karachi, Dunya News reported on Sunday.
In a Press Release issued by MQMs 90, MQM, while condemning the ongoing killing incidents, said that the terrorists triggered massacre in the city in the wake of the election boycott by ANP and Peoples Peace Committee.
It added that the terrorists wanted to create panic in the metropolis city and to sabotage the by-polls at PS-94.
MQM deplored that miscreants have been torching cars, buses, shops and bazaars and killed some 27 people including the party members.
The Committee rapped the government for acting silently over the gory killings.
Govt to complete term, asserts Gilani
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday categorically stated that the incumbent government would complete its fie-year term.
Briefing the media in Islamabad, the Premier stated that a petition has been filed in the apex court seeking deferment of the hearing till complete review of NRO cases. The PM parried the questions about Presidents immunity, saying that the matter is subjudice in the court.
Dispelling the notion about the NRO-ed people, the PM stated I have not received any list of NRO beneficiaries as yet. The PM in a laughable way said that many people have betted on todays case hearing in the court.
Replying to a question about resignations by certain PPP ministers, the PM asserted that Jointly we have come – and jointly we will go.
PM demands NRO beneficiaries’ list
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has directed the establishment division to submit the list of NRO beneficiaries within 02 days . Sources say that in future, these beneficiaries would not be appointed on any government post. It is also probable that the incumbent beneficiaries may be removed from their posts.
NRO beneficiaries’ list consists of 248 personalitiespoliticians and bureaucrats including Rehman Malik, Hussain Haqqani and UK High Commissioner Wajid Shamsul Hassan. National Accountability Bureau has already issued orders to re-open accountability cases after abolition of the NRO. Names of all NRO beneficiaries except president Zardari have already been included in Exit Control List.
30 dead in rain related incidents
QUETTA: Heavy rains hit parts of Balochistan as flood in Hanna Lake in district Barkhan of Balochistan killed at least 30 people, Geo News reports on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Barkhan said floods from Hannan Lake swept away 50 people in Barkhan. Bodies of thirty dead have been recovered whereas rescue and search work continued in flood-hit area.
Road links between Barkhan and Kohlu have been cut off as the downpours washed away Nardwala Bridge. Deputy Commissioner Kohlu Nasrullah Rind said emergency has been declared in Kohlu and affectees are being shifted to safer places.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Sibbi Division Qamar Masood told Geo News that more than 800 people have been trapped in floodwaters. National Disaster Management Authority has been requested to send boats to rescue marooned people whereas four helicopters of Pakistan Army have also been called to take part in rescue operation.
