Sui Gas officials have issued a notice against ECCs decision for three day load shedding in industrial sector of gas in Faisalabad region.
According to Sui gas officials, it is stated in the notices issued that due to less availability of gas, industrial sector will experience load shedding due to load management plan. It has been decided to shut the supply of gas to all textile and other industries of Faisalabad region. Gas officials state that notification for two-day load shedding of gas supply has not been received from Federal Government. On the other side, industrial organistions have not agreed upon the notices for closing factories for three days; where as they have announced two close down factories for two days only.

LAHORE: Under the National Energy Saving drive, the gas supply of many industrial zones of Punjab has been halted on Monday morning which is causing a huge lost to the millions of daily wages’ workers of the concerned industries.
According to Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC) source, the gas supply of Lahore, Sheikhupura and Sahiwal regions’ industries will remain closed on November 29-30, and it would resume on December 1 at 6.00am.
The industrialists of the affected zones have rejected this ongoing two-day weekly gas break while saying that this weekly gas closure not only halts the industries, it also turns millions of daily wages’ workers jobless.
Under the weekly gas break schedule of SNGC, more than 2,000 CNG stations of Lahore, Multan, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad regions would remain closed on Tuesday. Trend Pk

FAISALABAD: Thousands of laborers of industries are protesting against two-day gas supply cut in Faisalabad but the Sui Northern Gas Company plans to stop the supply for three-day.
The company has stopped supplying gas to the industries for two-days therefore all the industries of the city are closed. The industrialists have rejected company’s decision.
On the other hand, sources told that the Sui Northern Gas Company has decided to discontinue gas supply for three day in a week from November 15 to February 28. The new schedule has been sent to the authorities for approval, sources added.

The Sui Northern Gas Company (SNGC) restricted Faisalabads industries, under load management scheme, to avoid the gas usage from Monday to Wednesday.The industrialists of Faisalabad obeyed the restriction for one day only and kept all industries closed on the first day of the gas break, Monday, but on the second day of the break, Tuesday, they reopened industries after rejecting three days gas beak scheme of SNGC. The industrialists were of the view that they are ready to observe only one days break every week but cannot follow the three days closure, which causes millions of rupees loss to their industries while thousands of workers suffer a lot for losing their daily wages.
Karachi: Governor Sindh takes notice of lengthy power outages
Federation of Pakistan Camber of Commerce and Industry has announced their support for the Wednesday strike announcement by their industrial sector of Karachi, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.
Whereas tomorrow all the industries of the cosmopolitan would observe strike against the lengthy power outages by KESC. On the other hand the Governor Sindh ha taken a serious notice of the issue and summoned all the concerned authorities and KESC officers tomorrow for an important meeting in the provincial governor house to resolve the issue.
KESC has refused to reduce the length of the power outages despite the announcement of strike by the industries of the city. According to the KESC sources, due to reduced supply of gas by Sui Southern Gas Pipelines Limited SSGPL it has become impossible for KESC to reduce the duration of load shedding in the industrial areas.
On the other hand the Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Ul Ibad Khan has taken serious notice of the power break downs and the consequent unrest amongst the masses. The Governor has summoned the concerned authorities and the KESC officers immediately to look into the matter.
The industrial unions of the industrial zones of Karachi, including those of S.I.T.E, North Karachi, Federal B. area, Landhi, Korangi and Super Highway, have announced a complete strike on Wednesday which was duly supported by the chairman of the federation Sultan Chawla in a press conference in Karachi. He also said that due to the planned one-day strike, atleast 10-12 billion rupess loss would be incurred in terms of production while atleast 1 billion would decrease from the tax receipts for the government. Sultan Chawla demanded from the government that the issue of these lengthy power outages should be resolved so as to save the jobs of almost 2 million workers and employees.

Zamzama gas field closes for annual overhaul

DADU: Due to the closure of Zamzama gas field for annual overhauling, the gas supply to industrial units in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Bahawalpur will remain closed for the next three days.
According to sources, the overhauling work of Zamzama gas field will be completed before November 4. During this all period, gas supply for domestic consumers will not suffer, but many industrial areas of Punjab will not get gas supply for the next three days.
The gas supply of many other industries of Punjab including Pak Arab Fertilizer Company, Pak American Fertilizer Company and Dawood Hercules has been also halted for the next nine days which has created fear that the supply of urea can suffer during the current wheat sowing campaign.

SNGPL issues new schedule for CNG stations closure
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has issued a new notice for the closure of the CNG stations in Punjab, Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to the new schedule of SNGPL, all the CNG stations in Punjab would remain closed for two days per two weeks instead of one day closure in two weeks. Also that another day has been added to the closure schedule of regions having one day off in a week. The closure decision has resulted due to reduced supply of gas from the Qadirpur and Zamzama gas fields.
